Please have Kathleen on every week! She's so encouraging! The woukd week be a much better place when we're all not starving ourselves unknowingly. Please talk Georgie to get her on with Jay Feldman, Mike fave and Danny Roddy's new podcast. AND Dr. Wendy...she will be SO encouraged that they teach the same as she does about estrogen
To see some of your food fundamental principles expressed into a What I Eat In A DaY (or What I Ideally Eat In A Day) would be super help try and conceptualize some of the abstractions and itd be fun yay
35:55 Same, Ashley!! Dinner is my time to relax, and I often don’t eat until 8pm. I love relaxing with dinner, and often dessert, before going to sleep. ☺️ I usually go to bed between 10:30-11:30, and I need to try to go to bed earlier! 41:23 I used to eat the majority of my calories at night too! 😆 I now eat a good breakfast every morning!!
26:35 With phone notifications, I can attest to keeping sounds on for texts, etc. This keeps me from checking my phone while working. I also have the majority of notifications from apps turned off, because for me, out of sight, out of mind. Haha! I also don’t like have a bunch of notifications on my lockscreen. The only app I remember to use on a regular basis is UA-cam.
YESSS (still watching) 16:06 I do a lot of yardwork, those clothes have to be different than workout clothes, I can’t really go in & out of the house with the yard clothes, then when I work in basically a closet office in my house, I ideally like to wear business casual clothes (for a few hours at a time Dx) plus I use an outhouse so everytime I go to the bathroom I have to gear up in different ways depending on season.. it takes strategy, that I have not mastered not many can relate ❤❤❤
I'm not good at any of this stuff. Trying to go prometabolic to cure my CFS/ME and leaky gut while parenting 4 kids under 6 years old.... If I'm lucky I consume maybe 1000 calories a day and half of that is rice krispie treats.
Girl, we’ve got to get you on track! I’m so glad you’re here-you’re at the right place!! 😊 If you listen to past episodes with Kathleen, she says 1500 calories is the absolute minimum anyone should be eating. ❤ How about easy things like low fat cottage cheese and Greek yogurt? The low fat versions are high in protein. It’s also quick and easy to top them with some berries! I meal prep ground beef ahead of time too, and if I don’t have much time, I’ll just add a little ketchup. I often will fix a big batch of potatoes too. For treats, I make a big batch of ice cream so it’s ready to go whenever I want some. You can do this!! 🥰
@PeaceIsYeshua it's worse than you think. I'm a 5.5ft 212lb dude, so I'm REALLY insufficient in my calorie intake. On a good day i have potatoes ready and precooked and yogurt in the fridge. The hardest part is the kids taking up all my time (I'm a stayathome dad, 3 kids in diapers and on bottles). I used to be a professional cook so I got the skills to streamline food prep, but there's literally no time. I often rely on processed foods just to get something in me, but I'm super limited because I can't eat gluten, red meat, and a lot of other things, so feeding myself involves a lot of planning and effort or just giving up and not eating. I'm lucky if I can steal time to get a banana. Having the time to get yogurt out of a carton and into a bowl is a real luxury. I go from 7am to 10pm on my feet with no breaks. I literally started writing this reply over an hour ago and I'm just sending it now. Kids are the most anti-metabolic things ever. I've listened to all the talks with Kathleen and I'm terrified of what I've been doing to my body, trying to run it on virtually no fuel for years.
@ Oh gosh, I’m sorry to hear that!! 😭 I agree that’s terribly low for you! Alright, so something has to change to give you more time!! They need a healthy dad, and you need some time for yourself for your own sanity, health and peace. 🙏🏻 You should have lots of moments during the day where you’re not having to engage with the kids. They will be fine without your 100% attention. A friend once told me that kids only need 15 minutes of quality one on one time with their parents a day. Do they have a fenced off play area where they can play together and you don’t have to watch them every second? What about naptime? And it doesn’t matter if they want to or not-nap time should be every afternoon so you have time to yourself. I have friends who would let their kids be in charge all day, and they too couldn’t do anything. Kids need to adapt to the parents’ schedule and not the other way around. I hope that doesn’t sound harsh. I think our culture has planted the idea that kids should be coddled all the time, and that makes for a very unbalanced and unhealthy routine for everyone. Yes, they should absolutely be loved and treated respectfully, but there need to be boundaries, and kids need structure just like parents do. Maybe there are some helpful stay at home parenting videos with ideas! ❤️ Amazing that you were a chef!! I hope it’ll work out at some point in the future to teach those life skills to your kids! And THEY can help cook!! 😅 And bravo to you for doing this job so they can be raised at home!
This team is a great example of taking personal responsibility for their health!

5:50 I do the same thing!! 😆 If there’s a food I really like, I don’t get tired of it and will often make it a habit.

Some people eat the same foods over and over again for financial reasons because switching it up can make the grocery bill go up it sucks
High prices
Love the spinning dog to the right lol
Sarah is looking like a model off of her cut
Maybe we a built for less variety with food. I go to bed at 8pm and walk most days, maybe I’m doing better than I thought💖💖
