We are Tony and Jane and we are living in and renovating our old Relais De Poste/Coaching Inn.
We live in the middle of France in a region called The Berry.
We have over 40 rooms to renovate so there is plenty of work to be done. We also love to trawl the local Brocantes, flea markets and antique shops for quirky furnishings and furniture.
We love to find out about local history and often visit other peoples buildings including our friends’ Chateaux.
Tony P's house is a little gem of a place, and the paint colour choices are brilliant. It was fun to meet him as well. My sister and I went to the Abbey and had the tour, but unfortunately the restaurant was closed that day. Your meal looked amazing! Great vlog Jane!
I love that color on the little house. It just freshens it up so much and still keeps the character. Love it!
Thank you Pam 😊
Love the Cornish cream on the house! Such a fresh happy color!!😊
Tony and Tracy’s place wow so much done in so little time! I like the paint! 😊
Thanks so much Tony😊
The little house looks like it has come back to life....beautiful!!
Thanks Jane x
The other Tony's little place looks so cozy and I love how it's been painted. Thank you for another Brocante tour Jane.
Our pleasure Norma x
Love the other Tony’s little house. The colour is gorgeous. Nice new doubled glazed windows and a lovely wood burner it’s going to be a wonderful cosy little place
Glad you like it Charmee x
Nice colour that Tony P has painted outside, it had brightened the little house lovely. Glad Tony got the wood burner working ok. Thankyou for sharing Jane and Tony A Bientot😘😘
Glad you enjoyed it Annette xx
I’m jealous of Tony’s little house. It’s going to be so cute and sweet when he’s done. It doesn’t look like he has river access like you do but can he hear the river running with his windows open? What is your lodging season. Hoping to stay with both you and the boys in 2025.
We had such good days. And Tony paint and Donna were just wonderful. ❤😊❤
The best xx
You have to make the flue pipe higher above the brick of the chimney...so it can draw!
What a difference, Tony P has increased the value of the street!
He has Kelly, thanks for watching
Jane you are delightful on the video, so refreshing. The paint. colours suit the. cottage so well. Glad you had some helpers! 🌾🪴
Thanks so much Lyn 😊
My chimney tends to do the same thing when it's cold. I've found burning a big wad of paper first, before I build a real fire causes the smoke to draw up the chimney. Thanks again Jane!
Good tip Amy, we often use a hairdryer to pre-warm the chimney!
What a great job on the little house! Well done
Thank you 😊
Jane,
Tony has painted his house a very lovely pastel light lemon coloured paint, that complements your property perfectly. The colour trim pastel colour green is also lovely choose . Glad the wood burner is now working properly with the metal pipe, your Tony connected for them. The market looked like a fun day to enjoy.
Oh thank you Lesley-Anne x
Glad you are back. I love your vlogs Thank you
Hi Jane and Tony, hope your both well . I love the little gite the stone work on the outside has come up beautiful . That must have been a nice day out at the Brocante with the weather being so nice. The restaurant food looked so delicious my mouth was watering . Big hugs from Ireland . 🇨🇮

Loved the old rocking chair at 14.56 of your vlog Jane…….. lucky I wasn’t there, it’s the sort of daft thing I’d buy !! 😂
I must have missed that Steve, I love a rocking chair!
@@notquiteachateaudiy ……. It looked like a Rocking chair Jane……….. 🙂
The house looks lovely painted ❤
Thank you Nelle 😊
Tony’s house looks so cute, don’t know if that’s the right way to describe it but he’s done so well with the paintwork.
Yes I'd say cute Cheryl x
The facade looks like it was a shop at one time.
It was Dennis, a little hairdresser's, but closed down
We had a similar fire in France which failed its inspection because that pipe coming from the back of the fire must have a T junction at the bottom so that the soot/ashes can be collected from the bottom.
Do you mean so that the chimney can be swept Steve? We know it has to be swept every 12 months and have a certificate for the insurance, so we may need to change that, we'll see what they say, thanks for the info
@@notquiteachateaudiy When I had mine swept annually, the sweep always made an observation on the cert that the laws had changed and that a 'T' junction was needed. If you google search for 'chimney stove pipe t joint' you will see what I mean. HOWEVER I am not a sweep or qualified so better to get it from the horses mouth so to speak.
@@notquiteachateaudiy No that attatchment doesn't stop it from being swept, it's just that any ash or soot will accumalate in the bend. If you search for 'chimney stove pipe t joint' you will see the joint I mean. HOWEVER I am not a sweep so best get the advise from a sweep. Good luck, great channel.
I should make clear. It didn't fail the inspection, just that the pipe was listed as an observation on the insurance report with a recommendation to replace.
Cute little house! Good to see you Kate😊
Thank you John😊
You'll need to do your building facade now so do you own all to the end of that street? I am guessing you aren't allowed planters at the front at your doorway. I like the chairs you were eyeing up did you get them? they would look nice in your new project when it's done with the old wine cellar ;) well done Tony and Jane :) and other Tony and friend too :)
House is looking so good
Thank you K

The dormer looked not level
You are right Francis, it is extremely wonky! It's a very old house, around 350 to 400 years we think, so a lot of it is a bit crooked LOL. It is structurally safe though, it's not going anywhere!
wekk tuppa ware has gone bust in the US
Oh dear Stephen, I expect the vintage ones will be worth more then LOL
Love the Cornish cream on the house! Such a fresh happy color!!😊
Another great video. Nice to see what’s happening in Tony paints adorable little house.
Thanks Diana x
