    Spoke to a Colombian in Spanish (besides having to ask her to repeat herself every time) but I felt so comfortable speaking with her. It’s a wonderful feeling knowing that just 3 months in listening to your Spotify and UA-cam vids. Thanks dr Evans still a long way to go before I’m fluent without getting a headache each time but we’re getting there.

    This is very interesting. The use of word "Así" is very similar to Indonesia's "Begitu"
    Examples:
    Even so -> Walau begitu
    If that's how it is -> Kalau memang begitu
    I want something like that -> Aku ingin yang semacam (beg)itu
    If I keep going like this (/that) -> Kalau aku terus begini (/begitu)

    You seem to forget the word "thus", which is the closest to "así" in most meanings.
    Being a bit pedantic, "así" can also be a form of the verb "asir", to grab or to hold. "Lo así con las dos manos", I grabbed it with both hands. But it's uncommon.
