- Join Jim Scaysbrook as he gets aboard the Moreparts NCR Ducati that he rode at the 1978 Isle of Man TT and does a lap with the GP Legends at the 2018 International Festival of Speed at Sydney Motor Sport Park. Even though the bike’s owner Murray Kahler was unable to attend, he made sure the NCR was well fettled throughout the weekend, and it looked and sounded brilliant. Mindful of a wet track and far-from-new tyres, Jim took it pretty easy but that unmistakable sound of the big Duke brought the memories flooding back. The bike was 40 years old at that point, so one must respect age!
My favourite racing Ducati.
Just love the sound of the Big Duke air cooled engine..Owned a 900 SS in the late seventies, fitted with standard Conti pipes. They sounded great but this is unleashing the beast....
❤❤❤❤❤❤ thumbs up x this great video !! Ducati music ever sounds unseperable. The "red color" never forgets the debt of gratitude to Australian bikers .🇦🇺
This has to be the best sounding Ducati ever!
Nah, they all sound like that.
So many memories with my 1981 Ducati MHR...
Music to my ears, candy for the eyes.
What a sound!

What a sound ! What a superbike ! And an good Driver !
Best greetings from germany.
amazing sound ,tks for the video
There were exactly 3 brought into the USA by Berliner Motor Corp. My Dad, owner of The Sport Spot in Wayne, NJ got one of them for his punk kid.........me. Fast as hell for a 4 stroke back then, but I had to race against TZ750's. Not much chance of beating those, but being young and with some talent, I sure tried. Tried too hard at Bridgehampton and threw it away in the last right hander before the VERY long straight. Header grounded out and lifted both tires off the deck. Didn't end well for the poor NCR. Wound up getting what was left of it bought by, IIRC, one John White. Bike sounded AWESOME!!!!! Handled frigging great too. Even had a guy make me a set of Carbon Fibre rotors! 1979! Didn't work out great as the fibre weave wasn't right for being shaved that thin and they had a terrible pulsing issue that coundn't be resolved back then. The power of them was pretty unreal though!
Wow lovely. I had a 860 in the mid eighties
Fantastic machine. You can see why Ducati refer to these engines as L-twins, rather than V-twin. It really is a right-angle.
Nice special bike 👍
She sounds sooooo good.....
Glad you liked the sound... there's certainly nothing like it!

864cc ! UN BEAU MOTEUR ! !
Bummer on the little bit of rain there..
Great Work ❤️🩹
A me sembra che quello sia il motore della pantah,e' possibile?
No.
Sports Motorcycles became a mecca for me in the '70s, even though I had a Kawasaki virtually everything Steve Wynne sold was European.
Is this a 1978 ncr version or 1979?
1978
😁
Ahh nothing sounds so nice
“ 69 “ ???
Really?
Yes… Jim’s number was 69.
