Jane's Story - sexual exploitation

Sam becomes Jane's first love. He's older, funny, interested in her and takes her into an exciting world of parties and new experiences. For the first time, she is really in love.
Then things change. Jane finds herself trapped in a relationship where Sam and his friends show that their motives are much darker than it first appeared.
This short version is intended to be an introduction to the grooming process and is just one example of how abusers can operate. In reality, anyone, male or female, regardless of background, can be a victim of sexual exploitation.

Rape is touching someone up either male or female, without their consent and permission, inappropriately, its disrespectful, shows no respect to men or women, and its just the idiot, using your body for his own sakes, does not care about the victim, only themselves. Never take naked photos of your body and sahre them online its illegal and child porn, can get the police involved if your a young or older person,. Never let any body treat you like dirt its your body and commonsense use it.

Yeah I'm sure the types doing this are called "Sam" and not "Ahmed" or "Mohamed"... This exploitation is disproportionately Pakistanis, Bangladeshi, Somalis, etc, targeting vulnerable British girls. But the truth is not politically correct I guess.

This film is based on real-life cases and is intelligence-led, this is an example of one type/one case of grooming and exploitation.
Not all groomers are of Asian ethnicity and by only speaking about them as danger sources we are not adequately protecting young people from the risks posed by others. Not all cases of grooming and exploitation are reported to the police or are featured in the news.
We produce a range of stories and videos that aim to highlight different types of grooming, perpetrators and victims, and do welcome discussion on this issue, it is something we talk about and have a film addressing this in the works to be released later this year.
