What a beautiful cabinet! So glad you are making videos again - I sure enjoy them!

This comment is for the video about the 1908 White treadle machine you fixed up. It just made me smile, you made it so pretty. I just bought a 1920s vintage Florence Rotary in a parlor cabinet (has White parts) and your video really encouraged me to make it useful again. Thanks so much!

I have a 1917 Lotus in the No. 21 Parlour cabinet and it is my dream machine. I will have to try and see if I can start and stop sewing without touching the hand wheel. I didn't know you could. Thank you

I’m so happy to see you posting again!! I still have the machine you sold me. It’s my favorite. At first I thought this was that machine. I’m tell people my machine is a movie star.

Hi Gail! So great to hear that you still have that beautiful machine/cabinet I sold to you and that it's your favorite. I still have the cabinet I got from you, which now has my treadle-converted black 319W Singer machine in it. I'll probably be using it next for this 365 Challenge project, so you'll be able to see that cabinet again in an upcoming video. These drawing-room cabinets are my greatest weakness...I just can't let them go. They are so amazing. Yours is the only one I haven't kept and I have quite a few. Took me a long time to get over selling the one you have, but so wonderful to know it's appreciated, loved and in a good home. :-)

Gorgeous! I can start and stop my 1906 Singer 27 without touching the handwheel, too.

I have one of those. The machine comes up when you push the button. 1919 I believe is the serial # lookup. I restored the cabinet, it is almost perfect. The machine works like new, and has a puzzle box filled with attachments. I did not put the factory wheels back on it, as they had flat spots from being slid over the years. I do still have them, as well as a key to lock the sliding drawers.
    It is for sale.

I think you can adjust the spring on the right hand side, under the arm the belt passes through, to provide lift assistance. Yours is drooping a bit.

My Free lifts the machine when you open that top. Also unlocks the drawers. (There's a bar that can be released when the machine is down). The downside is that it's not easy to remove the machine.

Nice! I've never owned, or even seen in person, a Free machine. Hope to see on someday.

Love this, The cabinet is beautiful, i have the 66-1 it was my grandmothers and I sew on her frequently. Do they make a zigzag attachment for the back clamp machine

You are SO LUCKY to have your grandmother's machine! I love to hear about past-down family machines. I can't answer your question about a back-clamping zigzag attachment--I don't have one, nor do I remember ever seeing one. There is an adapter you can get that allows you to use side-clamp attachments, though. Just run a search and you'll see what's available. Enjoy your wonderful machine and cabinet!!
