As a fucking person deadly afraid of heights it was kinda awesome how they portrayed the drop. Planet drawing closer, the speed, real helljumper shit. The ONLY thing wrong with it was that they didnt' show any other pods landing. Kinda liked the feeling of him dropping in with others, that he wasn't alone.

It would be profitable. Highly, in fact. But as 343 said, they aren't interested in a movie at the moment as they want to make the games everything they can for the fans
I just can't see a fully CG film being as profitable as people think. The budget would be huge, yes it is highly popular among gamers but it just wouldn't transition well onto the big screen. It would have to appeal to average movie goers too and full CGI as shown in the past don't fare too well among them. A live action film would do much better than full CGI.
As great and faithful as this game is, I really wish they would've had Miranda's Halo 3 actress come in and voice her lines. Halo 2 Miranda is such a Barbie.
