After beating Oregon for the 2nd year in a row, this was the one game left on the schedule that worried me. Although the Huskies were shut out in the 2nd half, they held on, with the defense holding a good Oregon State opponent to 20 points. I’m not worried about Wazzu next week, even though the game still has to be played. Hats off to a great Beavers team, and I hope they can upset the Ducks at Autzen Stadium next week.
Scary game, I knew it would be. I don't see Washington surviving playing like this against the very best. Even the rematch against Oregon, they just barely win most games. How will that work against Oregon, Michigan, Ohio St, Alabama, Georgia? I don't see how it can. I want it to but I don't see it.
The only team ranked above them that's looked more impressive against top opponents is Georgia. Michigan has barely played anybody of note (beat Penn St by 9), and they only beat an unranked but decent Maryland by 7 today. Ohio State has had close games against top opponents (Penn St by 8, ND by 3). FSU struggled against Boston College and Clemson, and their only claim to greatness is beating an overrated LSU by 21 in week one.
Wins a wins a win. We have enough talent to beat any of those teams. Not saying it’ll be easy but I feel much better about this team then our 2016 CFP team. I say bring on the challenge
I think dillon johnson has saved the husky season. What penix started the season looks good on the stat sheet but it doesnt win in nov/dec. The offense is balanced now and protects the defense. The defense while not amazing has shown up in the 4 quarter the past few weeks and gotten off the field. Its a good recipe for winning football …just not the type of pretty winning that the polls like.
Look say what you want, rain this rain that. We stopped a great running offense at home, after momentum swung. Oh and they’re the 10th ranked team in the nation. I don’t think any top 10 team would have won comfortably against the beavs tonight. This was their championship and they couldn’t get it done. GO DAWGS!
@@jasoncase9481 I do too. But anything can happen in the civil war. OSU has beaten Oregon with far lesser teams. They’re really good this year. 3 losses by a combined 8 points? That’s crazy. But I think the biggest difference will be, it’s being played in Eugene. That’s a tough ask when Oregon is playing this good.
Man what a game! With how good the Pac 12 is I would have them #2. Michigan #3 and OSU #4. Oregon #5 and FSU #6 with the injury and not looking the best. Washington can definitely win it all!! Let the Rivarly games begin next week!!
I never like the idea of going for 2 points when you’re ahead in the game. I say take the easy points when you’re ahead. Washington could have easily lost on a late field goal because of their missed 2 point conversion.
The most important game is the trap game against Washington State. The committee won't forgive a loss to an unranked team. Really you guys should put all your focus into WSU. (TCU proved that you can have a close loss in the CCG and still get into the CFP. But you cannot lose to an unranked team. That would kill your chances. Tell your fellow fans that WSU is your most important game.)
I hope the pats draft penix I think he’s way better then maye. I wan someone who can play in the rain and cold and throw when it’s not ideal just like Brady
They ain’t about to call a penalty against Washington are they. I’m not a fan of either just an observation but there’s been defensive pass interference, offensive pass interference, offsides on the defense and several defensive holding calls they just flat out didn’t call against Washington.
What are you talking about? We are the 2nd most penalized team in all of cfb. Half of OSU's drives you watched above was just UW converting for them on 3rd down with penalities
With Jordan Travis out for the season for FSU and the resume uw has with beating top 25 teams. They guaranteed to make top 4. If not this week then next week whoever loses the Michigan Ohio game
Not Dj fault completely it was raining we lost a ball on the punt made a safety and lost the game by those 2 points other than that it’s tied and we had multiple chances considering Washington was shut out in the second half 0 points
The amount of would of, could of, should of, and what ifs that I’ve seen this season surrounding the Huskies is just crazy. Ain’t seen nothing like it. Don’t you think the Huskies would have played a bit different on their last possession if it were a tied game? Weren’t they within field goal range even?
And Washington gave Oregon State those 2 points back on a stupid decision to go for 2 in the 2nd quarter after a TD (yes it would made it a 14-point game, but you don't chase extra points that early in the game, take the easy points). Washington also missed a 39-yard FG. Both sides gave points away because of poor calls and even poorer weather conditions.
The OSU defense played well enough to give their offense a chance, but D.J. Uiagalelei was off target on his throws and he’s not someone you can trust in big games. Washington has one more hill to climb to get to the PAC 12 championship game
The Huskies are already a lock for the PAC 12 championship game. They could lose to WSU and they’d still be the #1 in the conference. I’d much rather they win though.
Exactly That's why I stayed away from betting on this game, even though Oregon St was favored. I did not trust DJ whatsoever. With a nice, accurate pocket passer, the Beavers win by 10, and the lies about Washington being a great team are over with.
I would say the rain hurt Washington. They never got the passing game going because of it. McMillian had two drops and Polk dropped 4-5 passes that he usually brings down.

Number 1 for Washington is a dawg literally called a iso to seal the game man talk about trust 💯
Duck fan here. True freshman one on one with Odunze. That's a huge ask. Even tougher when a Heisman caliber QB is throwing to him.
This one solidified the Heisman discussion for me. To lead your team in that hostile environment in that weather....
This team is truly battle-tested on their journey to a National Championship. The belief they have in each other is all they have...all they need. Go Huskies!!!
That punter with the 1000iq play even if it was a penalty. He had no chance of picking that ball up
After beating Oregon for the 2nd year in a row, this was the one game left on the schedule that worried me.
Penix for Heisman
Not after this game, He’s behind Nix and Daniels after this week
nix won the trophy today
Can't control the weather...
@@CashMoneySpongebob34imma husky fan and I totally agree he soiled his chances tonight tbh
@@JamesWoodring-mu2izonly QBs of undefeated teams can win the Hiesman, better luck next year
That atmosphere looks dope love the chainsaws and orange hard hats
@@patrickrogers9689: FSU also struggled with Miami.
GO DAWGS!
As long as Texas contains #1 on Washington which I don’t think will be hard they’re winning. Texas has more talent and they play more physical.
😂😂😂😂 but yall cant contains Mcmillan, Polk or Johnson 🗑
It’s looking likely Washington could be in the 4 team playoff.
They should handle business against WSU. I’m curious to see whether they play Oregon or Arizona in the championship game.
@@NothingButSilicone
I expect Oregon because they’re a team that has played great after they lost to Washington.
4:44 We got a DAWG with Oladapo! Go Pack Go!
That one safety made the difference.
My head felt like i was watching a tennis match, back n forths, except with a bigger ball. Its a fight to the end!
Osu was the stronger team. W made smarter plays. Fair win.
This was a great game to watch!! Big respect to OSU that was an intense close game!
Penix taking his boys to the league with him
Man what a game!
14:32 Sneak dissing Coach Prime? 🤔
Pennix so exciting to watch!
That Oregon RB Martinez is pretty good
The rain actually favored Oregon state - but again UW finds a way to win like usual.
UW fan here, how did the rain favor OSU? Both teams had to play in the same game.
@luispv08 Rain affects the team that relies on the passing game more. That team is UW.
@@PorterJustPorter I see, that's a fair explanation.
Washington has a real shot @ National Title of they can Beat Oregon 2x in my opinion
Oregon 2.0 will be the hardest game all year, bar whoever knocks us out of the playoffs if we get there.
@@DrunkTalk I agree 100% they will Oregon is on 🔥 right now but Washington is Hella Football Team too
The most important game is the trap game against Washington State.
LMAO National title you guys are too funny😂
If WSU plays like how they did against the Buffs they can pull off an upset. Ward is the real deal when he is on.
First and Mizzou win was a INSPIRING WIN IM INSPIRED
Good game! Hopefully Beavers can do something with Ducks… Go Huskies!
Mp9 is really qb1 but Caleb will still go #1 that’ll add fuel to the flame for penix career hope atlanta gets him or Minnesota
That rain was unbelievable
This was an interesting game for sure. Huskies were ranked in the top 5 and beavers in the top 15 ; in the rain and wind.
So proud of the huskies they use to get dog out now they the top DAWGS GO UW
What a game!!! Tough loss beaver nation but respect to UW
Great GAME!!!!
Not a Washington fan but I really hope their hard work pays off. Their last few games have been tough and it'll get harder if they make it to playoff!
the fact that the punter got a bad snap is so sad. Beavers great job!!!
Heck of a game !
Great game!!!
I hope the pats draft penix I think he’s way better then maye. I wan someone who can play in the rain and cold and throw when it’s not ideal just like Brady
Penix Jr. = Heisman..
This was a very exciting entertaining College Football Game.🏈
They ain’t about to call a penalty against Washington are they. I’m not a fan of either just an observation but there’s been defensive pass interference, offensive pass interference, offsides on the defense and several defensive holding calls they just flat out didn’t call against Washington.
What are you talking about? We are the 2nd most penalized team in all of cfb. Half of OSU's drives you watched above was just UW converting for them on 3rd down with penalities
Agreed! Taking a kee is also in bad style!
Michigan should drop after barely beating Maryland. FSU and Wash as 3 and 4 in either order
Ohio State struggled with Rutgers last week and a few other mediocre teams
Michigan won't drop until after they lose to Ohio St. next weekend. They'll drop to #6 in the rankings
FSU is 100% behind UW. I’d honestly put them lower, especially after their QB got injured today
Ore vs OSU will be exciting
Muhammed had a heck of a game! respect from this O-Ducks fan
Can someone please explain to me if the pac12 championship game will effect the huskies cfp ranking? Who will we play in pac12 champ?
Huskies play Oregon if Oregon beat Oregon State or if Arizona loses to Arizona State.
If Oregon loses and Arizona wins, Huskies play Arizona
With Jordan Travis out for the season for FSU and the resume uw has with beating top 25 teams. They guaranteed to make top 4. If not this week then next week whoever loses the Michigan Ohio game
I was working at the car show today at Lumen field ima housekeeper ,Anyway, that's good we won
Washington Huskies deserves TOP 4!
Awesome game
Penix will be the best qb out of this class.
Not Dj fault completely it was raining we lost a ball on the punt made a safety and lost the game by those 2 points other than that it’s tied and we had multiple chances considering Washington was shut out in the second half 0 points
You lost Beavis take it
The amount of would of, could of, should of, and what ifs that I’ve seen this season surrounding the Huskies is just crazy.
Washington deserves to be in the playoffs
The OSU defense played well enough to give their offense a chance, but D.J. Uiagalelei was off target on his throws and he’s not someone you can trust in big games. Washington has one more hill to climb to get to the PAC 12 championship game
The Huskies are already a lock for the PAC 12 championship game. They could lose to WSU and they’d still be the #1 in the conference. I’d much rather they win though.
Exactly
That's why I stayed away from betting on this game, even though Oregon St was favored. I did not trust DJ whatsoever. With a nice, accurate pocket passer, the Beavers win by 10, and the lies about Washington being a great team are over with.
@@RobbieStacks90rain definitely saved Washington
how?@@RhettMueller864
I would say the rain hurt Washington. They never got the passing game going because of it. McMillian had two drops and Polk dropped 4-5 passes that he usually brings down.
Micheal penix jr should be ranked ahead of caleb Williams in the draft he been balling
😂
