This whole album is killer! Filled with excellent guitar work by Page. Coverdale's most mature work. Some Page fans overlook this album, but it's not to be missed!
The Coverdale / Page project would revitalize the spirits of both musicians. Though the album was mostly overlooked by the grunge buying public at large, for those fans longing for the good ol' rock and roll days of the '70s, this album was an instant classic. Jimmy Page rediscovered his inner Led Zeppelin, and was musically brilliant. Coverdale wrote some of the smartest lyrics of his career. Unfortunately, the one thing that would have the won public over - a world tour - would never see the light of day, (outside of a handful of select dates in Japan). Coverdale -- "Jimmy will be the first one to tell you that the Coverdale / Page record was the first time he'd played consistently in over 12 years ... He told me that he was really sad about the way things turned out. I looked at him and said we had produced an album together I was eternally proud of. I told him, "Jimmy, I don't hold anything against you whatsoever. The person that I hold responsible for the debacle that it turned into is your ex-manager. I couldn't be happier that you dumped him." Page -- "There was no BS in any respect or in how we executed. I wanted to show that I was still alive and kicking, and in that regard it was a total success."- Excerpts from JAM Magazine
Love ya brother, so cool youre doing projects with Page. You have to tey Page with the singer from Bad Comapany Paul Rogers. Good stuff. Until next time stay weel, amd popping for fresh
Since you liked this there is another blues rock "supergroup" you should check out....Badlands which is made up of Jake E Lee, Ray Gillen, Greg Chaisson, and Eric Singer. Check out High Wire, Jades Song or Winters Call.
David Coverdale and Robert Plant have been compared for years. David Coverdale has been referred to as a “Plant Want to Be”- sounding like Plant quite a bit. I don’t care what people say I LOVE Plant!❤. David Coverdale has his own set of pipes that is incredible!❤ (And he’s Hot!) Whitesnake really did become big in the 80’s with MTV videos helping out there notoriety! I really love David’s acoustic album Starkers in Tokyo!❤

You should re-listen to this with your daughter, I think she'd love this! Thanks so much for the video. As others noted the whole album is great.
That proves that Coverdale and Page's album aged very well.

Coverdale’s voice is halfway between early Robert Plant and early Brian Johnson. Not a bad place to be.
Early Brian Johnson as in Geordie?
