Sir, i used to stay and work in Mayavaram Lodge during 1994-2000 ( they used to call it Reps lodge. Because all the sales representatives from Tamil Nadu used to come and stay here for their business purpose). My favourite city till now though i hail from from Chennai. Evening time i used to walk around teppakulam, have lunch in Mathura Hotel. Attended service in st. Joseph's Church and Christ Church. My recent visit to this city was in December 2023 and attended the New Year Service in st. John's Cathedral. Sweet Memories with this city.

Clive's hostel was horse stable. Main guard gate is the fort front gate of east indian company. My father, his brothers stayed in the hostel. My father photo is there he was student warden. He was having a tuft. I stayed with father vattakanal in the hostel in 1965-67.

Many historical events have been inadvertently omitted in your descriptions. Rani Mangammal ruled Trichy as head quarters and moved to Madurai and ruled. As Shri Chockanathar died in war and his pregnant wife as per the Custom "SATI" then prevailed, 😢she offered herself to self immolation. But Rani Mangammal requested and adviced her to post pone and issue the child. After delivering the child, according to the Sati she immolated and died. Thereafter Rani Mangammal brought up Vijaya Raghunathan the prince and ruled both Madurai and Trichy. When the prince grew up, the relatives etc. ill adviced the prince that she would not allow him to rule. So he put Rani Mangammal in a 12 acre prison with garden and Kali temple near Madurai Meenakshi Amman temple which was hitherto as Central Vegetable Market which has been now moved to Maattu Thaavani and the remaining portions are still as PWD Office, BSNL, TNEB, Lodges, Corporation Schools and Tourist Vehicle enclave. After RaniMangammal, Thirumalai Naik ruled Madurai with Head quarters in Trichy. There are even now the resting mantapams in dilapidated state enroute from Trichy to Madurai on road side. In Trichy an inscription at the temple's Rajagopuram as built by Muthu Renga Naik can be found. Also the statues of temple's Maanyathaars Thondra Mallar Naik with his wife can be found inside the temple of Shri Renganathar. The 40 Veli land for Naagur Darqa was given by Achuthappa Naik of Tanjore, free of cost. Also the 5 acre palace and land at Tranqebar were given to Dutch company by Raghunatha Naik.

An additional information about RR sabha is that it was founded in 1914 by a retired railway officer FG natesa iyer,grandfather of famous singer vani jayaram
