And you still went through with commenting it lol. Props. We all thought it, and then all thought every comment is already that, and still pulled the trigger 😂
My favorite team did need a quarterback, and I didn’t want Aaron Rodgers in the first place. When they did get them, I was hoping it would work out, but I’m surprised it went this poorly. Packers fans warned us and they were right.
Mahomes has considerably more wins, a great head coach and GM, and an actual path to yet another super bowl appearance. Stats can absolutely mean nothing, other than the win/loss one
He should have been fired. The guy has been phoning it in for over a year. He's had one good draft where he made obvious decisions that turned out well. The rest of his tenure has been a DISASTER. Bad drafts, horrible FA signings, bad coaching, gutted the defensive line this year, didn't get rid of Greg after the first loss due to bad kicking. Like Joe wasn't even there.
i thought he did his job well. i'm sure he was heavily involved in getting rodgers in, and getting the pieces to support him like adams and the other packers alum and also mike williams. fashanu breece garrett sauce are standout draftees. are they blaming him for reddick and zach? i'd think zach would've been an organizational decision rather than just the gm's.
Why tf is Douglas getting fired?? Their problem isn’t talent!! It’s focus, dedication, execution. All of it. The players have been swallowed up and inebriated by the media, Rodgers included. Woody is so dysfunctional and all dysfunctional teams do is continue what they’re doing (firing people) and making it worse
2:10 hey Mike why do you think he fired the GM now… so the search can start as soon as possible so he can make a decision on the hiring of GM+HC. Those kind of people love power and dont give it away… He will decide because he is the owner and than he’ll leave for DC or London…
How does someone who works in the NFL not know they fired him so they can start the search for his replacement? GM candidates aren't going to be excited about you trying to replace a GM who's still in the organization.
At this point, obviously coaches will change spot but the Titans seem the only one that makes sense outside the Jets for Rodgers if he plays in 2025. Teams like Cleveland, LV, etc are very unlikely unless coaches and things change.
Jets still have a nucleus alot of good players are still locked up for next year. Williams bros, wilson, breece, most of the secondary. New Gm does have pieces.
Didnt the owner say this was the most talented team hes ever had?......isnt assembling a team the GMs job..... Wouldnt that then mean this GM has done better than any previous GMs the owner has had........?
Most teams would kill to draft the likes of Williams/Gardner/Wilson and Hall. I think teams can see that Johnson hired Rodgers and Douglas is good at his job. I'm guessing a team like the Titans will move to get him.
All those guys were really highly thought of players and drafted very early in the draft lol. Doesn’t take a genius to take these players. But he’s not good in the later rounds like a Brandon beane for example.
Johnson is one of the more incompetent owners in professional sports. Douglas made any number of mistakes, but fundamentally he’s a good evaluator and has had a number of real nice drafts. Overreached multiple times in free agency, yes, but a lot of that is an owner chirping in people’s ears about “we gotta win now” I suspect. Johnson should fire himself for incompetence. And by fire himself I mean he should admit to himself that his tenure as an owner has been a complete and utter failure and then he should sell the team to someone who is competent. The Johnson regime has been a disaster on every single level.
JDs drafts are so overrated it’s painful and cringe to hear fans give him praise for drafting. 2020 draft - disaster 2021 draft - disaster 2022 draft - good but wayyyy overrated 2023 draft - tbd but not looking good 2024 draft - tbd but not looking good
No he didn’t. Look at his draft classes. Most of his picks are trash. Ya’ll way overhype the 2022 draft class and have no perspective on how others GMs draft. Every crap GM has made a couple of good picks
he was terrible as a GM with a 30-64 record with zero playoff appearances. it's getting boring with people pretending that the Jets are firing good people just to make them look like a worse organization. The truth is the Jets are a bad organization, and Douglas was a bad GM, and he deserved his firing.
When you miss on the Qb twice over (Wilson, Rodgers). , your days are numbered and should be. Accountability is everything and should be. Woody gave them 3.5 years and before that gave Bowles 4years with darnold who seems to do well in Minn.
Please You wanted Rodger’s , you got Rodgers, you wanted Adam’s, you got Adam’s. Williams get $96.0 and then what? Gardner overrated. Took Wilson 5 games to catch the ball You all loved the O line in the beginning! And it’s on the owner?!!
Well it could be because they came out and said they didn't know if they wanted Aaron Rodgers back next year or not, I may be Aaron Rodgers holds all the cards
The owner is in full control now, he should go down to a sideline and oversee the play calling. No team will allow coaches or back office to move on during the season, maybe he couldn't fake the fact he wasn't going to fire the guy and didn't want to interact with that guy down the hall. He has ambassador already on his record and see no point in doing it again, it has to be downright boring compared to football, if he is a big donor he could be ambassador under any Republican, it basically a payoff to a large donor.
This is a good litmus test to see if a sports analyst does research or just pushes narratives. When you actually sit down to look at what Joe Douglas has done, it's shocking he wasn't fired years ago. He has accomplished absolutely nothing while botching 3 QBs, 2 head coaches, multiple top 15 draft picks, made multiple bad trades and has mismanaged the Jets salary cap so badly they won't get out cap trouble until 2027/28 at the earliest (the worst of it won't even start until 2026!). This guy was quietly the worst GM in the league and had been for years. But sure it is an overreaction or all Aaron Rodgers fault. Whatever narrative helps you out the most I guess.
It's the Jets, unless the headline reads "Jets are moving, joining the ACC in 2025", then no one cares. They aren't making the playoffs yet people still talk about them, why? 😅😂
Same reason they always talk about the Cowboys: everyone loves a trainwreck! Both of these teams have been a mess for years in large part thanks to their owners although I'd say Jerry is waaaay worse than Woody but some may think different.
I believe it’s fair to say the packers pivoted out of Rodgers beautifully.
Finessed tf out of us 😂😂
They probably should've done it a year earlier but yes, they dodged the iceberg and Titanic arrived safely in New York and unloaded Rodgers :D
Yeah...Y'all desreve a victory lap...(sighs).
Not to mention picking the Jets' pocket - one over the hill legend in his own mind for some nice draft picks.
Naaaah, Aaron dragged it out like 2 or 3 yrs. Lol. But still kudos to them for putting it in action n waiting. Headache free.
The difference in the Packers organization and the Jets is truly staggering
How is it that everyone except Aaron Rogers is getting fired?
Because he is an extension of Woody J. in the locker room and you can't fire the owner.
Woody doesn't really have a plan for the Jets going forward, but he does have concepts of a plan. He's making the Jets great again! LOL
Maybe TRUMP should run the Jets too😂
@@anthonykology1728Maybe he should.
@@17thN.O has an NFL team declared bankruptcy before?
FOUR, MORE, YEARS!!😂
Back to the olive garden background 💪🏻
It was the owner’s idea to bring in Rodgers AND Davante Adams.
I thought Rogers was the GM? Yes I’m aware I am the 50,000 person to make that joke.
Crazy that you were aware but still felt it necessary to make the joke
It's an olde but a goodie.
@@petercofrancesco9812It is.
And you still went through with commenting it lol. Props. We all thought it, and then all thought every comment is already that, and still pulled the trigger 😂
Hire stupid QBs, win stupid prizes.
My favorite team did need a quarterback, and I didn’t want Aaron Rodgers in the first place. When they did get them, I was hoping it would work out, but I’m surprised it went this poorly. Packers fans warned us and they were right.
and your welcome.. but I do feel sorry for you all.
Just watch Woody hire Rodgers as the GM.
I thought he already was 😂
Rogers is already the owner, so na, not taking the pay cut.
There is a void now and Rodgers will gobble up more power - not less. He will pick the next G.M. He's a con man.
They should make this a weekly event -- every loss, someone with a big fancy title within the Jets gets fired
i lyke that idea.😅😅😅
the new york jests 😂
Say what you will about Florio- he’s ALWAYS right about Aaron Rodgers. Always.
Oh please a blind person could see what was going to happen.
A good Viking fan will always throw shade at ARod
30-64, would get you fired anywhere. Amazing he lasted 94 games tbh...
This one is really simple, the Jets refuse to be outdone by the giants. What was Woodie supposed to do when the Giants benched their qb?
The jets play in GIANTS stadium..need i say more😂
lol that's an angle you have to consider being in the biggest media market
Makes sense, you don’t need 2 GM’s, Roger’s has been making personnel decisions for sometime now
If AR's still there, who takes EITHER of these jobs? We KNOW who's running the show and it AIN'T the HC or the GM.
Someone who has never had the job OR someone that has failed at the job multiple times
In the words of BB: READY, FIRE, AIM
o9ooulu😅
Beat me to it 😂
What is he getting fired for? Look at his record.
I know the main issue with the Jets. You need to re evaluate your janitorial team, apparently they aren’t good at taking the trash out.
This is what happens when you can't fire the owner
He was there 6 years never had a winning record or playoff appearance and wasted the 2nd pick on Wilson
the Jets fired Joe Douglas and their GM Aaron Rogers ?
Florio hated Rodgers even when he won a superbowl.
Rogers did not win a sb,, HC Mike McCarthy stripped Rogers of all of his bs, at the line - no audibles, and boom won the sb
He’s had 6 years, 30-64 record. He whiffed on HC, QB and LT.
Oddly at this point A_Aron has more passing yards, TDs and 4 fewer interceptions than Patrick Mahomes.
Mahomes has considerably more wins, a great head coach and GM, and an actual path to yet another super bowl appearance. Stats can absolutely mean nothing, other than the win/loss one
Brian Gutenkunst for the win...
Dude I swear everything Rodgers touches becomes a nightmare
Love it … can’t stand him
He should have been fired.
Agree his best draft you could have used a magazine 😂😂

Woody is fed up with Rogers as Joe D pitched Rogers to him and spent a ton of money on him and has produced nothing!!
Reactionary? You mean expected, like it was going to happen. What else did you want them to do, keep him until week 18?
It makes zero sense to fire a coach or a GM mid season. Just shows this owner has no idea how to run a NFL team.
Given the shortage of QBs and this being a bad QB draft, do not be surprised if Rogers does return next year.
The Aaron Rodgers effect has reached to GM level. Impressive Aaron, head coach is one thing, but getting the GM fired is on a whole nother level.
Woody Johnson cant fire himself it must be everyone else!
How does someone who works in the NFL not know they fired him so they can start the search for his replacement? GM candidates aren't going to be excited about you trying to replace a GM who's still in the organization.
Woody and Jerry out here competing for the Snyder Cup
I think Aaron Rodgers should be GM now .😅
If they dont dump Rodgers after the season and after dumping the guy who brought him there, they look even more cowardly and stupid.
Woody brought him there though lol
Woody Johnson actually makes me thankful I'm a Giants fan 😅 might as well have Woody Allen running the team, the guy overthinks everything!
You guys paid more for Eli lite and let Saquon go. Giants are far worse.
On Apple Podcasts I think they put in the Robert saleh fire reaction video
I don't see how they fix this for a while.
At this point, obviously coaches will change spot but the Titans seem the only one that makes sense outside the Jets for Rodgers if he plays in 2025. Teams like Cleveland, LV, etc are very unlikely unless coaches and things change.
You think I can get that job!!???? LOL I’m used to getting canned! 😅
Call it like it is. Not a clean sweep. It's a Jets sweep.
Nice wine glasses!😂
If your going to fire the GM at the end of the season why not now. Dont let him make anymore moves.
Browns should be all over this to hire Douglas
Rogers the Codger, he's thrown some good balls in NY, and completed some passes, too!
30-64 record over 5 years. See you later
He still has 2500 yards 17 and 7 we would be thrilled if this was Zachary
Justice for Zach Wilson! It wasn’t his fault.
Justice for Sam Darnold.
It's time for Rodgers to join the Minnesota Vikings, just to see Florio's face
They knew in Green Bay that Rodgers sucked as a personnel director and he was terrible at having more input on the way the offence is run.
Jets still have a nucleus alot of good players are still locked up for next year. Williams bros, wilson, breece, most of the secondary. New Gm does have pieces.

Let RODGERS run the whole team. LOSERS!!!!

Hire Gruden as the GM.
Is there supposed to be a post GM bounce? They won the bi-week?
Joe Douglas had more hits than misses. That’s a solid Jets roster, except Rodgers. He’ll get a GM job next season.
No he didn’t. Look at his draft classes. Most of his picks are trash. Ya’ll way overhype the 2022 draft class and have no perspective on how others GMs draft. Every crap GM has made a couple of good picks

The truth is the Jets are a bad organization, and Douglas was a bad GM, and he deserved his firing.
A general manager is also in charge of hiring the right coaches. Most of these coaches Douglas hired have been bad.
When you miss on the Qb twice over (Wilson, Rodgers). , your days are numbered and should be. Accountability is everything and should be. Woody gave them 3.5 years and before that gave Bowles 4years with darnold who seems to do well in Minn.
Clean sweep. Start over. Im ok with it. Mistakes have been made. The jets are not good.
Jets owner wondering what other jet thing he can do next.
Hopefully woody has influence with Jim haslem
Belichick and Rogers team up next year in… ?
Wait why won’t they have woody Johnson?
Saleh and Douglas. Free at last. Thank god , free at last!
All of the Jets decisions this year have been reactionary why would this be any different 😂
Woody is going to make Rodgers an ownership partner of the franchise.
Sound like tall men got all the power to me😂😂🤷🏽♂️
I love when rich people can’t buy everything. Like a Super Bowl
Please
You wanted Rodger’s , you got Rodgers, you wanted Adam’s, you got Adam’s. Williams get $96.0 and then what?
Gardner overrated.
Took Wilson 5 games to catch the ball
You all loved the O line in the beginning!
And it’s on the owner?!!
All we need, more Rogers/Jets bashing
Oh come on! You've got to admit, it's EARNED!
@craigpridemore7566 Oh yes, all the "pundits" have made us all aware, many, many times. To their delight I've noticed.
Giants too.
and I've got 1000 suitcase's full just waiting.
Dude couldn’t keep his house in order, got ran over by Rodgers and he’s gonna serve on the administration! 😂🤣
I won't put it past Schoen. LOL
Mike thinks DT can get Bill Belichick to coach the Jets 😂😂😂
One good draft … and guess what folks .. if you don’t get the QB right … you’re going to get fired
I don't think Aaron will come back after '25.
I do not envy the jets fans. They just got out of a rebuild now they’re about to go right into another one wow
Well it could be because they came out and said they didn't know if they wanted Aaron Rodgers back next year or not, I may be Aaron Rodgers holds all the cards
Reactionary? Dude is 30-64 he’s lucky if he gets another shot at being a GM 😂
Go ahead and make the jets owner, the White House chief of staff, why not😂😂
Dashawn Watson trade straight up for Aaron Rodgers. 🏈
It was worse with Christopher Johnson
The dolphins should do the same thing.. believe me
the giants and jets should trade qbs for next season
The owner is in full control now, he should go down to a sideline and oversee the play calling. No team will allow coaches or back office to move on during the season, maybe he couldn't fake the fact he wasn't going to fire the guy and didn't want to interact with that guy down the hall. the new GM better support Ukraine and not Lebanon
Who fires a head coach and GM with 7 games to go ' jets are a joke ' hey woody sell the team save us the misery
This is a good litmus test to see if a sports analyst does research or just pushes narratives. SELL THE TEAM WOODY!!!
Rodgers for GM. 😂😂😂
The Jets fired Alex Jones
It's just the King of Jet Land throwing a body in the court yard to try to appease the angry peasants...
Bill would want the head coach and GM position for personnel reason.
No more chance of Biden working for Trump.
