Rodgers got the Gm who went 30-68 fired? Hes the best qb they have had in a decade not his fault hes coming off a potential career ending injury still gonna throw for close to 30 touchdowns.
There is no universe where a new GM and Head Coach are forced to accept 40 year old Aaron Rodgers as their QB. There is zero upside of having him as your QB in 2025. The team is not a playoff team, regardless of who is the QB, so you might as well get started rebuilding, with a new GM, Head Coach and QB, as one unit.
They could draft a qb and let him sit behind Rodgers for a year (or less than a full year if the team performs poorly). But yeah at this point Rodgers shouldn't have any power left it should be up to the coaching staff
@@thatchadbrad The Jets have an amazing defense, for example. It was so good, the let Jacoby Biscuit score on them, in 60 seconds, to lose to the Patriots. Only a Jets fan would be impressed by this roster of losers

The team is just bad because it is poorly coached and the ownership is toxic. Add the ego of Rodgers on top of it.. Firing him will not solve those things.
I'm old enough to remember when Nick & few others in the media used to push the "Aaron Rodgers is better than Tom Brady" rhetoric. It's been interesting to see him turn on Rodgers the last couple of years
To be fair, 5 years ago Brady hadn't won outside of New England and Rodgers was winning MVPs and was looking like he was close to making another Superbowl every year.
This is what I don't like about Brou or any other old head. They refuse to move on from a mistake and rather double down on a bad decision. It's clear the Jets should move on from Rodgers.
Aaron Rodgers legs are gone. His legs are what made him an outstanding QB by avoiding the rush, buying time and make throws down field. It's definitely time for the Jets to move on after this year. He is going to do things his way. No new coach is going to get him to change and any good coach worth his salt would turn down the job if they were told they had to keep him. Every year you hang on to him you just delay the rebuilding process.
An over-the-hill, egotistical diva fresh off recovery from a torn Achilles didn't save the Jets. No one guessed it. Oh wait, it was obvious to me as soon as the talk began. I can't be the only one.

Giants, Raiders, Panthers, and Browns are the only teams I can see being desparate and dysfunctional enough to spend a year on Rodgers. And maybe the Titans.
Can the Jets, Cowboys and the Bengals go away. Stop talking about these teams. They are done. I get it. Jets GM was fired but all I hear about from Fs1 , ESPN and podcasts are hosts talking about those 3 subpar teams.
this is such an easy fix compared to the giants, these clowns at the jets organization are so bad at their jobs. - get rid of aaron and his friends that contribute nothing to the team including the coordinators. - you keep the gm - you keep robert saleh - overhaul the offensive coordinators - start jordan travis, run the football with breece hall. but this can’t and didn’t happen because the owner is incompetent and is about to leave this place in flames
Brou is so naive when it comes to Rodgers. Why does he always make excuses for him? It usually sounds something like, "well, if only X happened then maybe it'll work".
I love the difference in how Aaron is portrayed vs how Russ is portrayed. The biggest issue the media could manufacture with Russ is that he had his own office and didn't hang out with his teammates after practice. Aaron has played just as bad as Russ during his first year with Denver while playing GM and being a distraction resulting in the coach and real GM being fired well before the end of the season. I just don't understand the Russ hate vs what Aaron is always allowed to get away with.
It’s called culture. Some franchises are just run differently. There are no Prima Donnas in Pittsburgh. Every player that acted up in Pittsburgh got shipped out the following year. Nothing is above the team. Denver has a prima Donna coach. The jets are just a historically bad franchise.
How did Rodgers get the GM fired tho? He got himself fired with his terrible drafting and player personal decisions, Saleh wasn’t great either and only survived another year bc Rodgers got hurt.
No the main reason Russ is criticized is because the cool black guys from the Seahawks defense have pegged him as the corny black guy and everyone can pick on him.
The team played harder for Zach Wilson then they do for Rodgers!!! If im the Jets im doing whats best for my team and Rodgers can either get with the program or go

Rodgers has 7 TDs 0 INTs and three games with a QB rating over 100 in the last four games. And the media has blamed Rodgers after every week. And look at the comment section; it's clear that propaganda works on the lemmings who can't think for themselves.
Watch the game and not the stats. He was 22/29, 184 yards 114 QB rating. But didn't move the ball. 3 and out for nearly the entire half. The Jets defense played almost the entire half of football. No wonder they didn't have much in the 2nd half. Rodgers completed 1 pass beyond 10 yards. Most of passes were within 3 yards of the line of scrimmage or behind the line, and his receivers made most of that 184 yards from run after the catch. And at the end of the game, Rodgers had 46 seconds to go 35 yards to have a chance for the winning field goal. He went backwards and made decisions and throws that a rookie wouldn't even think about. 46 seconds, Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Stafford would go for the TD, nevermind a field goal. In fact a 45 year Brady scored at TD with 52 seconds with no time outs against the Rams.
