I appreciate it when VST Companies try to come up with New and Innovative Tools rather than making slight variations/updates to their existing products - in order to Grab a Buck. Bravo Cable Guys
Doooope plugin! Make's layering way faster! But what would be the best approach for Mixing stage? Is there a way to just get the layer as audio on a seperate track? Copy the track with insert would make sense but only if you can mute the Main sample, but i think it's not possible in the plugin. I'd like to have control about the Main sample and the layer(s) for processing
You can use the sidechain input. Activate external sidechain from the trigger menu, then you would just place 2 Snapback inserts on different channels, then feed the input sample into both through their sidechain.
You can also just solo the Snapback and Transient with the headphone buttons on each controller. Just create a duplicate track or send the audio to a second channel with Snapback on it🤙
Are samples being layered to some degree? I could swear the guy from Cable Guys that does vid shorts for production tips said NOT to layer drums. Admittedly, the drums in your demos sound great, and I really like the plugins I have from cable guys, but this one is giving me doubts for some reason.
...and it's not just for snare samples. You'll want to try Snapback on KICKS and other percussion as well 👌

Bravo Cable Guys
Agreed. Cableguys has always been one of the most forward thinking plugin companies, imo.
I like cableguys wonder how this measures up to slap by Mr bill
Those are some interesting features! There are surprisingly new concepts included in this plugin.
I always need Seans take on new plugins before I decide to buy it or not

Joe Cableguys here. I’ve never said to not layer drums :)
Yes, it’s designed FOR layering drums.
