I found a pleater at Goodwill for $5. I couldn't leave it on the shelf. What if it got dropped or broken by someone who didn't know what a treasure if was? What if no one bought it and it went to the dump? So I rescued it, much like the mutt at the shelter that nobody wanted, but was in fact the smartest dog ever. Now I want to learn to use it. Thank you so much.
So loving expanding my skills with all the cocovids. I was watching you while knitting a sontag and when you mentioned "frog" I almost spit out my coffee, LOL. to "frog" in knitting (and crochet) is to undo stitches. the reason it is called that is because you are ripping it out, rippit, ribbit and ribbit is what a frog says.
Thank you so much. You are a gift to us beginners!!!!!
I LOVE your footnotes!

Fantastic video! I’ve been looking at those pleaters for a while now...
Great video 😊
Thank you. I haven’t smocked in 25 years, but this makes me want to get my pleater back out. Next rabbit hole lol.
Great tip on the threading at 26min mark.
For linen, a good thickness in one thread would be 40/2 normandy linen. It comes in various colors and can be gotten in various places including Etsy.
smocking always confused me
