Harley Benton TE-20 HH gets a new set of HH...

A Finnish company named Uraltone sells these Korean made Alnico5 humbuckers, they are well worth the money IMO. Installed and set the pole height for optimum performance. The original idea was to use chrome cover pickups, but that would have been a whole lot more work. I would have had to enlarge the bridge pickup frame to make it fit, and since it is metal.... so I ditched that idea for now.

Congrats! I did the same on my TE-20 HH but with the Tonerider Birmingham set. How did you adjust the pole pieces on yours? Funny how the stock HB pickups have fake ones that can't be adjusted. On my replacement humbuckers I ended up measuring each string's signal strength using the free Audacity app and adjusted the pole pieces accordingly to balance them.

Hello Steve! I did not measure signal strength, just set the height of each of the pole pieces according to one chart I got from my guitarist friend. That has worked fine for me, I can hear the difference and to my taste the sound gets more like even between the strings. I have had some cases where the pole pieces don´t seem to move, no matter how much you turn and that is a bummer.

Hello Andy! I just painted over the tortoise with a rattle can. Has hold up well so far.
