the issues with water is one reason people say beer saved the human race because it was a lot of times safer to drink beer than water
also some believe that Ergot poisoning is what led to the Salem witch trials

Just to begin with , in Medieval Europe they built the architectural marvels of the Gothic cathedrals. At that same time , in sub-Saharan Africa they lived in little huts , ran around naked , and engaged in cannibalism !!

When we get hit with another Carrington Event we will be in the Stoneage. It happened in 1859, those come every 200 years or so. Good Luck everyone.

24 hours? Yeah, that's easy. Boil water in the forest until the local folk assume you're evil for speaking in weird tongues and hunt you down

What If I've been going to renfaire's my entire life. In addition to studying and practicing swordfighting, esoterrorism and alchemy. I'm pretty sure I'd be one of the rare people that would actually stand a chance.

@@Wouldntyouliketoknow2 If I was born in that time statistically speaking more than likely yes. But he said what if you were taken there. So think of it more of like an Iseki situation. Which on that note. Yeah I would be one of the very few people to actually live. For the following reasons. I have been practicing swordsmanship, esotericism, and alchemy. For over the past 15 years. I have been going to Renaissance faire's. And sword reenactment battles for the past over 15 years. My whole entire life's hobby. Completely revolves around me living. Like a peasant sometimes knight from the Dark ages. So yeah I know I'd survive.

@@13illyxmaze I don't think I'd survive. I know I'd survive there's a big difference. You're thinking will never outpace or trump my experience, or intellect. On this spasific time period. I am a pagan who has lived his entire life. Recreating what it's like to live in the dark ages. So Yes I would survive. Maybe that's hard for you to hear. Because you don't believe there's people like me still out there. But unfortunately for you there are people like me still out there. And there's lots of us.

@@mikeyrambo2742 never said I think that no one from this century could survive. I’m saying that the amount of confidence you have is a true sign of delusion. Shows me you lack the ability to critically think or even inward reflect so you probably lack self awareness. You have watched to many movies. Those times would have been brutal and violent. How often at your renfairs are you confronted with true aggression? Your telling me everytime you “sword fight”, you’ve never lost? Never had an opponent get you with a “critical” hit?
Man I could go on and on with reason why you are beyond delusional. How are you built? Like are you genetically strong? More athletic than the average man or less? Your coordination? Did you ever play and excel in any sports? The wars were mandatory, they also were not coordinated 1v1 fights, it’s a battle field with people in every direction trying to kill you…not to mention a little invention called the bow? You gonna deflect arrows with your sword?

A friend of mine named Rick might last, but that's because he's A. In Shape, B. Was an Eagle Scout and knows every damn plant and animal in the American and European regions, C. Is good with a gun and a bow and D. Is friendly enough that he could probably last long enough to at least learn middle english before dying.
But no matter how long he would last, he would hate every minute of it because he is a huge Steelers fan.

I dig what you said about the education level back then but at the same time we can't front on them for that...
    Why do I say that?
We currently live in an area where we've never been more educated but we still don't know s***..
As a matter of fact over the last 10 years there's been kind of been a great regressing as it pertains to common Sense and common knowledge..

The dark ages weren't dark for everyone. The noblity had so many children because they weren't being oppressed by a federal empire. It was also their blessing. The pale man of today was the green man of old. He was a subservient class. The akee and the gentile were in rulership after the fall of imperial (barbaric) rome.
