- The LS 60d and 60x are the next evolution of the Aputure Light Storm point-source LED line up. The LS 60 series is the ultimate swiss army knife. Each unit is a focusing LED with built-in aspherical optics that can vary the beam angle of the LED between 15 to 45°, as well as the ability to be powered via AC, D-Tap, and Sony NP-F Batteries. The LS 60d is a daylight balanced focusing LED with the capability of reaching 54,300+ lux at 1 meter, while the LS 60x is an expanded bi-color fixture with a CCT range of 2700K to 6500K.

Is there anything cuter than a 60D with a Mini II Light Dome? Might be hard to resist picking up a couple of these! The V-mount bracket paired with the locking knob is dope.

Nice! Looking good. Will there be a new Fresnel as well, fitting the 60d/x? I saw the built-in spot/flood adjustment, but I was wondering if an accessory would amplifiy the output as the 2X does. Also it would be awsome to have a more spotted beam. Like 4-5 degrees almost parallel, so the 60d/x can be used with light reflectors. (Just checked dedolight and they have something called "intensifier. Increases the light output up to 300%.) Lastly a police light fx would be a nice addition too. Red/blue for US and blue only. Thx

Potentially a useful fitting; but is there any way to incorporate this into an existing DMX/RDM control system i.e. something to bridge from a DMX desk to Sidus Link?
Ordered two of them. They are going to be fun to play with! Quick question, The video made it seem like you could only use a few specially made bowen light adapters modifiers with this light. Is there any reason I could not use all of the other Aputure bowen modifiers that are out there?
You can use any Bowens Soft Light Modifier. The beam angle may not completely fill the soft light modifier due to the aspherical lenses and their focused beam angle, but it will work especially well with softboxes that have an internal baffle to help with that.
It will not work with the Fresnel 2X or full size Bowens Spotlight Mount, because of the way the optics focus the light of the 60d/x before shining through the other modifiers.
I just received mine and the barn doors/bowens mount adapter rotate quite easily once installed. I was wondering if I was doing something wrong... or if that is just the way they are designed and they are supposed to rate that easily once attached to the light....
@Aputure Hope there’s a way to introduce a lock mode on the fixture to prevent accidental changes if the knobs get bumped. Maybe rolled out to all current Amaran and Aputure lights

Does anybody have any tips to cover the v-mount/npf to keep it from the rain????

Today I went to use my Aputure LS 60 D for the second time. She was connected to the power and with less than 10 minutes of operation she turned off by herself. When the source is connected to the energy, the green light turns on, but when I connect it to the light's power plug, the light turns off and the light does not work. The same goes for the v-mount battery. It stays on but when I plug in the d-tap cord it turns off and the light doesn't work. I would like to know if there is any solution. Thanks.

Hi would one of these fit into a peli 1510
I received mine and love it but its shutting off after 8 seconds automatically and I cannot figure out why :( the fan is working fine, I don't see why it would shut itself off while on AC power, please help!

Can you recommend any v-mount batteries? I am new to this world. I plan to use this light for my weight loss journey videos and wedding company.
The Core SWX NEO batteries are what we use in the commercial with the light, and in our studio and they work great!

Could it be mounted upside-down? For studio style, just guessing if the v-lock would be safe enough in that position or it could even be mounted inverted
You can flip the yoke upside down, so the lamp head is underslung and not inverted. With the standard AC adapter, we see no problems with the V-Mount locking mechanism in this orientation.

60watts. Does that mean it's the same brightness at a 60watt (old school) incandescent light? I ask because I wonder if this light will be bright enough to fill in the shadows on someone's face in bright noon sun; filling in those raccoon eyes. Or is the 300d or 600d the only one powerful enough to do this?

Why the lock knob turn back like 120d I tho
It actually uses a Rosette-Style locking system. So there are more teeth, and they lock into each other instead of a rubber gasket in between. This also keeps the width and size down.

Don’t buy this lamp. It has a bug in the Bluetooth module which does not allow any connection or control of the lamp after 6 months. You can then basically throw it away. It’s also not fixable with a firmware update.
