If Ezra saw Sabine get injured and assumed she had died, holy crap he would have levelled an army
Kind of reminds me of a younger (and less powerful) Starkiller
@@evansbat You referring to the force unleashed 2? Excellent game. Force fury was so fun to use.
@@evansbat which now thinking about it like that, is a perfect way to have a star killer character in cannon. By pacing the powers out way more and the character development taking full seasons, he plays way better with cannon and legends. Normal star killer is fun, but he was just kinda op and not well written, especially the romance was kinda rushed.
@@shadowsnake5133 wow you are late lol
Ezra is pretty much Star kaller if he wasn't trained buy Vader
Have you seen how powerful that dude is
No he would not level an army, kid was a subpar jedi at best even Kanan was average compared to all Jedi
With those Cristal Clear Blue Eyes,
He could never be deceived.
Anakin Skywalker.
@@albertoandrew6149 that was my thought as well
@@porkins4108 his eyes grew less blue the more he was deceived, at lest in clone wars
You mean OVERSATURATED BLUE EYES
Sparkling deep sea blue eyes?
Mind controlling the walker pilot was probably his most messed up move.
Hell, I loved that, I wished we saw more of that, it was so damned cool, expanding upon all the crazy things you can do with the force, not even with the dark side specifically.
Honestly, it's less messed up than jedi mind tricks.
@giovannidelarosa4543 its a darkside version of mind control, only other people I've seen do it was dooku and kylo ren, force people to doing something they don't want to do, while they're aware of it, unlike mind trick which is more of a strong persuasion over weak minded people.
@@the11382 tricking someone to do something simple like walk away or open a door is far less messed up than hijacking someones mind so you can make them kill their friends and commit suicide.
@@janoslambert-cannon7146not really. He didn’t influence the pilots free will, he just controlled his body. Mind tricks invade the brain and manipulate weak willed individuals
What he did to the AT-ST and making it kill it's friends then walked it off with a grin. Yeah bad ass dark jedi shit right there.
"I've seen what attachments can do to a fully trained Jedi knight"
To the best of us.
Tbf, the Jedi Order is idiotic to think suppressing of emotions is the logical way to go.
Luke did it right in Legends.
It's more like what happens with a Kedi knight getting fed up buy bullying and had enough of the BS to the council
@@TheMandaloreFett Yes and no. The problem wasn't with idea, but with execution of it. Jedi order as we've seen it was already far cry from what it was supposed to be. Hell, Jedi using midichlorian scanners instead of trying to sense force sensitive creatures was one of, if not the best proof of that.
Jedi order was supposed to be serving the force first and foremost. That kind of duty would be too much for someone who also had to take care of family. It was a rule that was supposed to help.
But like everything, overtime some things evolved or started being treated too seriously, and eventually it all culminated in emotionless Jedi order.
@@TheMandaloreFett The Jedi had good intentions with that rule but, their own code destroys humanity.
I’m just realizing this but Ezra is very similar to Anakin/Vader in terms of background info. Both have dead parents, wishes to save their loved ones, tries to find solutions through darker paths, their master was killed in front of them, and sacrificed themselves towards the end. Only difference Ezra stayed in the light while Vader became a Sith Lord. And by sacrifice by the end I mean to when it was the end of the series finale for rebels and Return of the Jedi for Vader the finale movie of the original trilogy.
Yup he was actually designed to be an anakin but what if. He is very strong and skilled and leaned into the darkside a bit, but unlike anakin was not fooled into the tricks of palpitine, and he had someone to guide him out of darkness many times at the perfect timing.
What master of anakin was killed infront of him? Qui gon wasnt, and neither was obi wan
@@Thebiggestbird1923 His own Master Obi wan who he killed in the original trilogy.
@@thunder_games_18_81 ah i see
But there's a difference. With Anakin, they killed him in the movie by letting him die because of his injuries, while Ezra was missing, could be dead but unsure. If Thrawn lived, why can't Ezra?
Honestly, the danger of falling to the Dark Side is with EVERYONE. Even the greatest of masters have to wrestle with the idea that the Dark Side is always there and can easily creep up on them when they least expect it.
In rebels, Yoda basically said his fear of the dark side blinded his judgment during the clone wars.
"Most Jedi have felt the temptation of the dark side. It is only natural. But we resist it. It is a deliberate path to the dark, not a series of bad days. Being a Jedi is about choosing the light over and over again."
―Sskeer
It always starts out well doesn’t it? “I’m doing this to protect my friends”.
Pretty close, I'd say. He was never the same since Malachor. Even after he gave up the Sith Holocron, I'd say if anything happened to Sabine, Zeb, Hera, or even Chopper, he'd go off the deep end. The only reason he didn't when Kanan died was because he was too engulfed in his own grief to do anything other than fester in his squallar. I kinda wish they did more with his struggle in season 3, but I still like the direction they took.
he almost became ezra miller
💀💀💀💀💀
The dark side is not as evil as it appears. It's use should be embraced, but it must be tempered with logic, as allowing your emotions to get out of control is what causes you to turn evil.
Kind of like what the order of Grey does.
Pre KOTOR Revan and Malak would certainly agree.. had they not been corrupted by Vitiate they never would’ve become Sith
Basically it's better to use both the light and dark sides of the force to maintain balance in one's self
@@dylanwhite3383 nah. That's fan fiction nonsense. Balance isn't quite what the Jedi Order preached during the clone wars era, but the dark side is corruption and abuse of the force for selfish purposes.
Lucas has *never* wavered on this front. The Bendu is the closest in canon we get, and even he is attacked by the Sith while getting along with Jedi.
@@Joesolo13 i know that's why i like the legends version of star wars history instead of Disney cannon
Cal kestis and Ezra doing the muscles hand clap in the future would be awesome!
I just wish we got more than 2 episodes of him dealing with dark side stuff. Could’ve become a whole season arc
I want ezra to be one of those jedi who isn't against using the darkside but won't let himself fall to it or use it for great personal gain
Ezra throwing that AT-ST into a chasm to its death was 🥶🥶🥶
Ezra needs a purple lightsaver
or an yellow one
@@nippon19 yellow is for temple guards or Jedi who only use violence as a last resort
Purple is for Jedi who master the light side but also use a controlled amount of the dark side
Cos blue + red = purple

i know for the purple one.
@@nippon19 ohhh I get what u mean sorry bahaha
@@nippon19orange is for the guys who are mostly on the dark side, yet rather individualistic than following it strictly. I mean it's almost red
I think his wonderful farewell speech showed us that he is putting the past behind him and sees a clear path in front of him. He will become an official Jedi Knight! I know not everyone will make it out alive, so I am currently not thinking about how the Ahsoka series/ Filoniverse will end.
Edit: If Luke and Ezra meet or train together, that will make me super happy. And Ahsoka come on… the old Jedi ways are gone, go make a better one with Luke or actually find Ezra🤦♂️. I’m worried he won’t even show up this season and the epilogue to Rebels with Sabine and Ashoka will be the end of this first season…
He is the dark thing ahsoka is referring to in her trailer.
He won't be a jedi he will be the new living embodiment of the dark side. Such is his role
The Ahsoka trailer literally shows who she’s talking about Grand Admiral Thrawn.
@@matthewrosenthal753 no. It shows thawne but it says something dark is coming. He's left hyperspace and the unknown region but ezra isn't shown. Ezra is the darkness she's referring to.
@@CaughtSlackin_ she literally refers Thawn. You very stupid desire doesn’t make it so. Also take a look again, Ezra is seen in a hologram that Sabine is looking at. And every story about this show has said Thrawn is the Villain. Ezra literally was unswayed even by Palpatine himself. You think that taken Thrawn away would suddenly change that. Nope. Frankly Thrawn is shown right after her comment about something is coming the Heir to the Empire. Please stop.
"There is no life.
There is no control.
There is no fate.
There is no power.
There is no emotion.
There is only Force."
I feel like Ezra had a very viable reason for nearly falling to the Darkside. Fear of losing his friends, who were the only family he had left after losing his parents, and he doesn’t want that pain again. So while he’s learning to become more and more powerful as a Jedi, he’s experiencing that fear more and more. It’s a potent combo, but he resists the darkness. Shows how strong he is.
God Ezra and Maul as a master and apprentice duo would be the coolest thing ever. (i know ezra was temporarily mauls apprentice but he never actually fell to the dark side)
I swear Vader is that one bully everyone warns you about just for you not to take it serious
I really feel like Disney basically turned Ezra into Luke Skywalker while throwing like to the wayside. He’s everything Luke was supposed to be. Blue lightsaber at first before changing to green, heavily influenced by his attachments, almost falling to the dark side but using those attachments to keep himself on the right path. And becoming the best of the old Jedi without maintaining the strict rigidity that was their downfall.
Nope when we get ezra he will be evil
@@CaughtSlackin_ not a chance
well, like apparently caised the downfall of the jedi by misinterpreting a vision and trying to off kylo, then agian that's the same lule who died to astral projection of all things -_-
@@Leostar-Regalius because they have Luke’s characterization to Ezra and desecrated what Luke was meant to be
@@WizardJace yep
I loved that scene with Ezra controlling the guy in the walker. Serious throwback to when you cheated max force powers in Jedi Knight games.
i wanted ezra to actually learned how to control the dark side and the light side like Mace Windu did
Common misconception, Mace doesn't do that, he mastered using techniques that make him border the dark side without actually falling to it. He doesn't use the dark side at all, he's just highly susceptible to it and risks falling
Ezra is such an underrated character I think that he had the power to rival and maybe defeat cal kestis god forbid anything happened to Sabine he would be a force to be reckoned with I can’t wait to see more of them in the new show
I think falling to the dark is always so ironic. Those who are desperate for power (even for something as altruistic as saving their friends) take what they see in front of them, but in the long run they’re robbed of the true potential of the light.
Had Ezra used the dark side to protect his friends, he’d have pushed them away in the process.
Palpatine’s goal was immortality and power. Had he researched the light as much as the dark he’d have discovered the training Yoda, Qui-gon, and Obi-Wan took to become force ghosts.
Anakin wanted to save Padme, and it killed her. Had he waited for Windu (who’s trust he’d finally earned) to return he’d have likely been granted the rank of master that day, and given access to the skills that could save Padme.
The list goes on.
That force dominance scene with the Walker was amazing imo. Just to see them use the ability was very fun
I’m glad Ezra learned his lesson but he did force a trooper to kill his friends and then take his own life. I really thought it was gonna get worse before it got better. Maybe something in the unknown regions could still mess with his mind and bring out that darkness again. We need them to find him fast before it’s too late.
It will get worse. He's turned to the dark aide in ahsoka
Dark side light side feels like politics the right answers somewhere in between but only the extremests have control
That in of itself is a political answer, the belief that everything has a healthy middle ground. But it's not the case with force, the light side is balance, the dark side is a perversion of that balance
Ezra's got this....helps that Yodi helped guide him, and Kanan is a better teacher than he realizes.
He needs a purple lightsaber. It would be perfect for him to have gone through both blue and green lightsabers for him to end up with a purple one.
He will have a red one
Or at least his own unique colour
“The road to hell is paved with good intentions”
I believe that he actually falled to the dark said in that point, but thanks to kanan and the experience in the temple he return to the ligth side before completely accepting the dark side
Rebels got good when they matured and developed these characters I was bored w season 1 but man when they brought maul in I was hooked
Palpatine: "As I was saying, Ezra-"
🤚 imma stop you right there, I'm not doing this again
So really freaking close. Thank god for Kanin pulling him back and helping him find the right path again. I feel like Ezrah will always be a bit more susceptable than the average jedi to dark side tendencies. Kinda like Cal or Vos. But I feel like his experiences later Rebels make him much less susceptable than he was in s3. Also he’s had several years in the unknown regions to grow and mature and hopefully learn more about being a jedi and finding balance. I feel like if he was put in a position where he feared losing his friends now, he’d be able to handle it better. Sure he’d still face temptation and might need some help to pull himself back, it wouldn’t be as bad as last time.
All good points
Rebels was soooo good!
Got the Meme in, i am proud of you
So if holocrons can talk, could a jedi and a sith holocron have a verbal argument with each other without combining them? Because that would be hilarious 😂
He walk the path of his great grandmaster Windu.
Ezra the perfect master for grogu considering he embraces his feelings unlike luke.. and ahsoka doent wanna train another who embraces their feelings since she kinda does as well
I feel the perfect balance between light and dark, is the key for any true warrior. You get the power needed to protect from the dark while keeping your humanity from the light
The AT-AT move he did was amazing!
He was close to falling to it every single day
He just needed two more sith holocrons to unlock the darth maul glider
I want to see Ezra return as a dark sider.
Imagine if Survivor Cal Kestis and Ezra Bridger teamed up.
😮 Watching Ezra was like watching a moth to a flame bro was playing a super dangerous game 😂
Rip that last guy
You also have to look at the situation from his eyes as Kanan was blinded and retreated away from Ezra at the time. It was when Kanan met Bendu that they reconciled
“His lunch handed to him by Vader “😂😂😂😂❤
seeing this after finishing Jedi: Survior I can see Cal in the corner like "Honestly? Same"
"Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny"
Wise man once said "Attachment leads to jealousy."
"Jealousy leads to anger"
RIP the phantom 1 : kills by ezras emotions
Keep up the grind my brother🍷🗿
Lets just undermine his entire character arch 😂
If anything he reminds me of the temple guards for the clone wars
We need Ezra and Cal to meet up at some point.
I dont think Ezra was close at all. His heart was always pure
He said the thing...
I think Ezra is too pure or heart to turn. He just has tendencies due to his life that lead him to sometimes lose focus in the way you’ve described. We see this even before Maul, or Ezra’s quest for more power, when Ezra was first tapping into his abilities and communicating with the Darkness living creatures that attacked Hera & Sabine.
Ezra follows a very similar path to Anakin, so in a way we see what would happen if Anakin didn't turn to the dark side.
I remember back in the day when people thought Snoke was Ezra lol
He was as close as his plot armor allowed
Ezra talked a lot of shit to Kanan considering he needed to cry and be hugged after almost every mission
Seperating himself from his family removed all temptation but now Sabine is in the hands of 2 dark jedi and a nightsister, he may find himself stepping back into the shadows.
I really wish they can bring the show back but the show seems like it's going to get a live action show and I believe Ezra is still alive it in the animated series
Ahsoka series : "Hello there"
Him taking control of the at at pilot is possibly one of the most insane feats for a 17 year old in Star Wars ever. Even anakin wasn’t doing that shit. What a strong force user. All these guys saying ezra is weak. Did you not just watch the video I did… NOBODY ELSE HAS EVER DONE THAT in cinematic starwars. What a feat
Sounds like Anakin and his fear of losing the one he loved.
It is true that if there was situation where Ezra would feel hopeless, desperate or pushed to it by for example Maul or even Inquisitor....he would have real problem and most likely at least half fall to the Dark Side and from that moment on, it would follow him, tempting him in next actions in his life
Luckily he got pulled back before such things happened...imagine tho if Kanan died during those times when he was valnurable..oh boy
That's the problem with the dark side, it lures you in with promises of granting the strength to save those you love, and when you fall to it fully, they become the last things on your mind, lost to a see of lust and greed
I may need to rewatch Rebels because I hardly remember this
Again was never even an option!
I will quote the great and knowledgeable Revan!!!! "There is only the force!!" Good or bad is purely on the person!!! That's the problem with the Jedi ways!!! They miss this grasp!!! He should definitely have learned ALL that he could
Ezra deserves to have a purple lightsaber bc he can use the dark side and not fall into it like mace windu
Well, his master was Kanan Jarrus, and his master was Depa Billaba, and her master was Mace Windu, so it makes sense
It would have to be a threat beyond the lives of just Ezra's loved ones. He's like Ahsoka and Kanan in a lot of ways. There will be payback if someone killed Sabine but he's not going to go all Darth Vader over it. Boundaries. Ezra has a well established set of boundaries.
Man, I actually liked the "dark Ezra" he was more confident and reckless as Anikan was, but each problem caused, was not from his mistakes, but a member of the team screwing or questioning him, His unatiral abilites the jedi used before, I liked him better this way and was disappointed they ditched it, I wish he had kept it and understood himself better to end up like Windu or Skywalker
I believe ezra can become something like a grey jedi
Fingers crossed!
Everyone is in danger of falling to the Darkside, Ezra was more in between light and dark.
Hope he does in the Ahsoka series with Trawn
Are we still pretending we don't know the masked apprentice on ashoka is Ezra😂
Give my Boi a purple lightsaber
There's nothing wrong with wanting to save your friends and Ezra did the right thing when he decided to help Maul. The only other options was basically to let them die or to try and pull a rescue attempt that would put them at a much higher risk of dying.
I feel like they could’ve dragged this out a bit longer. Maybe have him follow maul for a bit: attacking the empire, gaining new powers, giving into the power for a bit until Kanan brings him back to the light.
It was necessary that he understood the nature of the dark side in order to fight against it
He quoted Sidious! Haha
I don't think so. When he saves his homeworld from Thrawne, he knew there was a definite possibility he was sacrificing himself. I think Ezra has become more Zen....
I wonder what they will say about him in Ashoka? In Rebels he actually remain Jedi and gave up on his parents, which was the toughest task. But what if he decided to become grey Jedi after his travel????
The force isn't good or bad, no more than a hammer. Those who wield the force can choose. It's the Why you wield it and how, that matters. The force itself is no more evil than mother nature is.
“Abilities some consider to be unnatural”
…
…
Have you ever heard the tragedy of Darth pleagus the wise?
You obviously stopped watching at that point and didn’t see the series finale.
What doesn’t make sense to me about his new lightsaber, is that he started tampering with the holocron BEFORE he built his new lightsaber. Shouldn’t his crystal be red?
Ezra genuinely believed that he was tampering with the Holocron for noble reasons, and still considered himself as a Jedi. While the dark side influence was beginning to corrupt him, he was still far from the point of intentionally making his kyber crystal bleed or anything like that
It probably turned green because he was pursuing knowledge of the force.
Hmmm both very good points
A red crystal in the current canon comes from physically making the crystal bleed, a ritual Ezra likely wouldn't know or want to pursue.
Ezra is the coolest Jedi my personal favorite
He’s like annkin but with a stronger will power
I just think it was uncharacteristically generous of Vader to bring him something to eat like that 💁♂️
Unnatural...Good one.
His Saber blaster was not exactly the Jedi way.
Great tourney
I want to see this go full circle - Anakin the father, Ashoka the daughter, and Ezra the son.
