Thank you for this. I’m almost done gathering all the parts needed to lower my 77 and I decided to replace most of the front end pieces while also lowering. Thank you and keep them coming!
I think with the rubber bushings, you should wait until the truck is sitting on the ground at ride height before torqueing the nuts down. I think it would also make it easier to connect the spindle.
If you're going to be doing much suspension work on the floor, look for some chain pots that go in the floor. They're mostly used in body shops for frame work, but work great for chaining down frames for suspension work as well. I've probably used them for suspension more than I ever did for pulling. Keep up the great work
Might have my LS swapped 82 Gmc shortbed sold. Guys suppose to let me know Thursday. If it sells I plan to buy a 88or89 OBS 2wd shortbed stick shift truck to 6.0 swap.
Man it’s looking awesome! It’s going to look and drive like a new one! It’s almost like you’ve done that once or twice before! Message me If you want to get rid of that old gear box. I need one for my ‘51.
Man Aaron great job on that frame ole shorty starting to look like a show truck even tho it's just a frame can't wait to see what all u have in store for this build and hey yep I was at the truck gathering it was for sure awesome and I got to meet u n person and that's also when I started following u on here but also very sorry bout Rum Runner but till next time 👍👍👍👍👍
Great video, I was thinking, when you were putting the spring in and trying to compress it, I told my Aunt B "he needs to set his big butt on it" and sure enough, you did Hope you're feeling better brother
What are those ears with threaded studs for on the upper control arms? Mine had those and had to cut them off. Rubbed on wheels. Mine also came from NAPA
If you think they are rusty and might give you problems just keep soaking them in penetrating lube for about a week. Then try to break them loose by hand
Do they sell the replacement bolts for the steering box? I can't seem to find them. Last guy to do my front end really screwed me and cross threaded every bolt.
My little girl is 21 years old... her Honda civic needs a cam position sensor replaced... so Friday, daddy is driving an hour and half each way with a handful of tools to fix my little girls car for her.
@@HarmonGarage Thanks Arron! I have the engine out getting everything detailed for Cruisin the Coast car show on the Mississippi gulf coast Oct 1st- 8th, Its a big show hope to see you there buddy. Last year we had 9618 registered cars/trucks. for the 7 day event.

You are welcome, thanks for watching
I agree, thank you!
Just bought a few parts from Jeff - and instead of installing them, I watched a 5 hour playlist of his truck on your channel. Epic.
That’s awesome. Thank you
Thanks so much!
You can hook a strap top of the arm to the bottom of the jack, then jack to jack up and it will compress
Makes sense
👍🏼

Thank you!
I've never had such a nice and clean truck as your putting together now! Nice job!
Thank you
Thank you!
great video when you install those leaf springs i always think of loading those old bear traps
That’s about it. Lol it’s not very fun without spring compressors when there is no weight on them
👍🏼
Great video, I was thinking, when you were putting the spring in and trying to compress it, I told my Aunt B "he needs to set his big butt on it" and sure enough, you did
Hope you're feeling better brother
Thanks Fred
I have a soft spot for 79 Squarebodies. I own one that my father-in-law bought new. Now has a 89 tbi engine waiting to upgrade to a ls engine.
That’s cool
Gotta love a ‘79
Hope your weather is cooling off! Finally got some rain here in Georgia!
It’s cooled a little. Still got that humidity and heat index
It’s cooled off here a bit in Dallas
Keep up the good work would like to see more like this
There will definitely be more
I agree, it looks great!
Thanks everybody for all the comments. I really appreciate it.
You are welcome!
Getting closer to 300!
Yes sir
Nicely done Sir
Thank you
I agree, it looks great!
That will be cool seeing shorty being towed by the Dually! Did you figure out the 292?
I haven’t yet. I haven’t even worked on it. But it will be coming back on the channel very soon
👍🏼
I bought an 86 4 door chevy dually over 2 years ago in Tacoma wa. Finally brought home last week. Can't figure what I want to do with her yet.
There’s definitely lots of options
Could be a great build!
Previous owners used a beer can as a dust cover for the wheel bearing in my 56 lol
Hey if it works is it really a dumb idea? Lol
That’s great!
Your getting it done great job
I’m trying. Thank you
I agree, thank you!
It’s turning out great
I agree, thank you!
Thank you
Nice! Thats a lot of work
Thank you
I agree, it looks great!
What are those ears with threaded studs for on the upper control arms? Mine had those and had to cut them off. Rubbed on wheels. Mine also came from NAPA
They are extra brake line mounts. Not needed and I don’t really understand why they put them on
Those upper control arms fit 73-87. The bracket probably isn’t applicable in all of those years and options
It's going to be better than factory asome
I agree!
I sure hope so. Will be a really nice truck
I am gonna build another square body after we get settled in AL
Awesome
👍🏼
Very nice project
Thank you
Thank you so much!
I would tear mine down to frame but I don’t no about fighting cab bolts
If you think they are rusty and might give you problems just keep soaking them in penetrating lube for about a week. Then try to break them loose by hand
Corrosion X is a great penetrant
👍
🤟
👍🏼
Keep up the good work
👍🏼
Thank you
Agreed!
Do they sell the replacement bolts for the steering box? I can't seem to find them. Last guy to do my front end really screwed me and cross threaded every bolt.
I would go look for some from a junk yard
LMC shows them, I believe they are standard typical bolts. I’m not sure what size they are, maybe 7/16 or 1/2 coarse 4-5 inches long I think
Your at 71 commits hope u get to 300 I really want one of your shirts.
I hope we get there as well
Good luck!
Looking great 👍
Thank you
Thank you so much
Sheryl and I will be watching tonight
Thank you
It looks fantastic! My dad would think this is so cool!
Looking good 👍
Thank you
Thank you so much!
I really like that frame paint... it's gloss but not. And it's not really satain neither
It becomes extremely durable when it cures
It looks great
Hey Aaron do you have t-shirts for sale?
Yes
My little girl is 21 years old... her Honda civic needs a cam position sensor replaced... so Friday, daddy is driving an hour and half each way with a handful of tools to fix my little girls car for her.
👍

what size drop flip kit did you go with? Did the drop shackles come with it?
It’s a no name flip kit off of eBay. The shackles did not come with it
How many inch drop shackles is it?
2”
Looking good it's nice working on clean parts lol
Thank you!
Welcome
Thanks bud. I appreciate it
@@HarmonGarage welcome
Are you out of your STBF wipes? Keep them closer when you are doing the bearing packing! 😂
I’m all out. They’ve been gone for awhile
We will bring some with the engine
@jeffdillard5742 lol, that’s great. Nothing cleans the crap like the STBF wipes. 😂🤣
Why, must you
Lol
Hello buddy
Hello
👍🏼
Are you going to put a sway bar on it?
Yes , just haven’t decided which one yet

@@HarmonGarage where about I live at the state line of Tennessee

What kind of paint are you using on the frame Arron?
VHT roll bar and chassis. Satin black
👍🏼
@@HarmonGarage thanks Arron headed to O'Reillys to grab a few cans.
To do a whole frame and most of the suspension it takes about 16 cans.
