I'm jealous of you guys with Chev/Ford/Dodge trucks. The aftermarket is crazy abundant with parts for you. I have a 67 International pickup. I shop for parts at Rohners and Windy Hills junk yards. New engine or body parts are pretty hard to come by. Don't get me wrong, I like being the unique truck at a car show.
Not sure why people even bother with these kits to modify their old frames. By the time you buy your brakes and rear end separately, you can just go out and buy a completed frame that’s welded and not held together with a bunch of bolts. And when all is said and done you will be into it for about the same amount of money.
After adding it all up that's the decision I've made. Between replacing the entirety of front and rear suspension, boxing the frame, etc etc it was a break even.
For a builder who takes the time to build things right-that sense of security is priceless. When a vehicle breaks-everybody will take your money to “repair” it, but who will put the effort to do the job thoroughly, (to spec, & checked twice)? If money bought the difference between experience, understanding, & trust issues…
Did great informative I stall !! Looks good Thanks😊
