The Professional Interpreter

A masterpiece of unmeant comedy. This supposedly educative video shows us why we need professional translators and interpreters and why we should not trust "my brother who lived in overseas a couple months" to do the trick, especially in tricky situations.

THANKS FOR THE HEALTHY LAUGHS | In the U.S., the situation is worse; every body who went on holiday and spoke Spanglish with a waiter claims to be an interpreter or an interpretress . . . until either the judge or the doctor have their fill of pretence.
The most relevant example is the unpleasant child, whether adolescent or adult or daughter or son, that fake interpreter is determined to RUN THE LIFE of the patient, usually the mother or the father; the pitiful power games betwixt parent and child.
