Yeah, so have a lot of a lot of games...fact of the matter is, if you rip people off and treat them like shit by delivering a half baked or flawed game it's a lot to ask for them to come back to a title or franchise.
Ryan Liddle No, I agree with you. You have to make a statement by boycott if you want developers to change their greedy antics. To be fair though, I didn’t wanna play the new battlefronts because they tossed Galactic Conquest and Campaign.
My 4 questions Will i be able to turn lightsaber off and on? Will Cal have different outfits to choose from? What sort of replayability and things to do after the story? Any post game exploration or new game plus etc? Will enemies respawn in levels to offer more combat options? Would love a sort of horde mode or combat arena to replay.
I'd like to see a linear version of KOTOR that starts during the Mandalorian Wars. Then continues with a sequel with KOTOR 1 missions like the opening Battle, rescue mission at Taris, fight with Bendeck Starkiller, fight at the Taris Sith base, escape from Taris, fighting Mandalorians and local animals on Dantoonie and converting Julhani, Tatooine holdout against tuskens with Czerka forces, fighting Calo Nord on Tatooine, fighting Mandos on Kashyyyk, Kashyyyk Liberation mission, Manaan Sith base, Manaan underwater mission, mission in Malak's ship with Carth and Bastilla (plus play as Julhani first), dueling Uthar with Yuthara's help and then defeating Yuthura, taking down the Sith forces on Korriban with Julhani and Jolee's help, fighting with HK-47 and Candernous against Trandoshans in the Yavin space station, taking down the One and his forces, taking down the Elders, fighting in the Temple with Jolee and Julhani, battle at the Star Forge, facing Malak. There will also be a ton of missions for a KOTOR 2 version of that and a KOTOR 3 version. Each game has 30-50 missions plus dueling mode where you can play as characters from the Old Republic (not just KOTOR but, beyond it with legends like Exar Kun, Naga Shadow, young Jolee, Bane, Malgus, etc.).
Wolfshadow Morningstar deffo! Was possibly one of the best games I’ve played on till this date still! So much involvement in to a game and so much to do on there
It's strange. Mark Hamill started out as Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight. Then became the Joker in the Animated series. Now we get Cameron Monaghan starting as the Joker and then becoming a Jedi Knight named Cal Kestis... I'm starting to think Joker might be a Jedi?
Did you saw Battlefront, the sheer pay to win in its purest form (at launch, now its a pretty good game, thanks to the historical shitstorm!)? But yeah, sportgames manage to be even a little bit worse, it is fascinating that there are people yet dumb enough for those monetization models in fifa and others.
Totally! Shadows of the Empire was a good game back then, but I've played it recently and it's pretty rough. That said, this sorta does look like a sequel. Nice observation!
Personally, I like the idea that there are/were some surviving Jedi that actively chose not to get involved (so heavily, at least) with the Rebellion in order to try and preserve their traditions and culture while relying on playing the long term game to come back and make things right in the fullness of time. Too many Jedi in the current canon are shown to be idealists to a fault rather than reasonably pragmatic and this would balance that out a bit.
"..Inquisitor, a specialized and powerful class of Imperial Soldier groomed specifically to hunt and kill Jedi.." Sorry to be an asshat but they are definately not soldiers but more exactly ex-jedi, turned or manipulated to turn to the dark side and join Emperor Palpatine: "The Inquisitorius, also known as the Inquisitorius Program, the Order of Inquisitors, and the Imperial Inquisition, was an organization of Force-sensitive agents who worked for the Galactic Empire. Members of the Inquisitorius were known as Imperial Inquisitors, Inquisitors, Red Blades, and Mystics by Imperial officers, and sometimes even Jedi hunters. They were tasked with hunting down the remaining Jedi who had survived Order 66 at the end of the Clone Wars as part of the Jedi Purge [...] When the Clone Wars ended, Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine formed the Galactic Empire and declared the Jedi Order its enemy. Using Jedi Master Mace Windu's attempt to have him arrested as justification, the new Emperor activated Order 66 which had been hardwired into every single one of the Republic's clone troopers and instructed them to kill the Jedi. The majority of the Jedi were killed by the clones but several managed to escape, especially after Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi sent out a distress signal from the Jedi Temple, warning the survivors off. As such, several Jedi had survived the initial purge and gone into hiding. Fearing the threat the surviving Jedi posed to his rule, Palpatine created the Inquisitors to track down and eliminate the last remaining Jedi.[3][17] [...] The Inquisitors were all former Jedi that had turned to the dark side in someway or another,[18] with the Grand Inquisitor having served as a Jedi Temple Guard[19] and the Tenth Brother being the former Jedi Master Prosset Dibs.[20] The Emperor's apprentice Darth Vader soon discovered the program and was put in charge of them. Vader trained the Inquisitors in the ways of the dark side of the Force." This could/can be more elaborated to give players a more personal connection towards defeating these guys. Otherwise grande video! My 2 cents. Cheers
Sierra 82 I have a feeling the Second Sister Inquisitor is going to be revealed as someone the Jedi training him knows and was friends with in the past.
Honestly I have been waiting for this game for 6 months now. I don’t want to watch this review but you have drawn me in even more now. Goodness me it’s only October. Great review.
I really enjoy your content and indept approach with your previews. Your analysis and crisp dialog tone and high quality edits will sure make you become a mil+ channel some day. I hope you can find the time in the future to become an ultimate reviewer of games being released. Would like to see how you rate new games. Like your ultimate preview games getting ultimate reviews.
I hope they at least make the games little challenging. The whole point of that style of save system is because finding next one is a relief. If they are there only to be arbitrary save points then it's not even going to be a system worth noticing and the game will be so easy and forgettable.
@Justin Green Lantern Golf @Justin Green Lantern Golf like in Zelda, items are used for certain purposes. I get what you're elaborating on. The force is multi-purpose. You can use it to charm padme by moving fruit, choke your favorite good guy or even walk on walls. But according to respawn, we can only walk on certain walls. Lol "Those walls there, they are anti-force walls, not even naruto can walk on them.''
Lord Helmet says the Farce was used in this extensive and well done presentation. This is the best choice for a Star Wars game setting yet and I might play a Star Wars game for once, but I do want to be able to put on a Trooper helmet! Given all that we see, it is good they waited for this story. I am sure many will pick this up in the table top game (FFG might $$$$ again too).
I feel like it is going to be worth it for me but I definitely know it won’t be for many people. Though it will probably be on sale just a few months after release so you can just buy it then!
1 thing that stood out to me in this is during the gameplay the jedi was climbing some vines or plant life on the giant mech. Looked good but one thing broke the immersion. The vines weren't moving they were like stuck there without any signs of life in them. That was weird
A majority of star wars games look good before they get released. Wait for the release & everybody will hate it & make videos about what went wrong with it. You're welcome
FINALLY ... a single person Star Wars game I can play again ... ALONE ! As a long time Star Wars & Tomb Raider fan this appears as the best of both worlds 'play wise' for me - a mix of casual exploration & fighting and not just a shoot-em up or money grabber. The last 3rd person SW game I played was that Phantom Menace back in the day (very average). I have not been enticed by any of the SW games for the past 15 years but will definitely be playing "Fallen Order". A very good in depth preview, thanks !
I know this is very late but THANK YOU. You have made me more excited about it and this is coming from someone who bought the game before gameplay came out. I'm hoping for 15 ish planets its probably to much to ask for but I want to play it as long as I can
So the peak of Star Wars games is still KOTOR and Jedi Academy... They just had to the make force jump a front flip every time? Jedi Outcast/Academy at least mixed up the animations more... Looks like an average 3rd person action platformer with star wars tacked on
A truly amazing Preview,no unnecessary hate or fanboy talk.Just facts and informations. The only thing i don't like about this game for now is that you can't dismember human enemys(but we couln't do that in TFU 1 and it is a good game imo). But the fighting in Fallen Order looks still awesome.
@@Snowman79 The only 'brave new creative addition' to the entire SW universe that Disney seem capable of doing is making an entirely new model or droid with every game, movie, tv show , etc. What a bloody waste of a universe. Even the aliens are mostly gone -- have you noticed that too ? Yes, there are diverse humanoids, but where the heck are the aliens in this massive universe ?? So bizarre. Let's hope one of the missions isn't a 3 hours long starship chase sequence where you are running out of gas or something equally riveting. Please don't 'subvert expectations'.. Just take force unleashed, GTA5, KOTOR and Shadow of the Colossus gameplay styles, mash them together, slap Star Wars on the front and rake in the truckloads worth of money we throw at you. Right ?
I hope that there is more to this story, I want the game play to overshadow the story and cut screen etc. But I am hoping that just this once a Storyboard Formula and Trilogy Formula is used in this game. The story arch has more then enough room to pull this off, and I hope that the combat is not too overused. Cal should always have objectives to achieve yes, but as those objective are accomplished and Cal grows as a Jedi, so too should the overall development of the game.
Hopefully they’ll add in the ability to choose dismemberment or not. As much as I understand why they’d remove it due to it not being “family friendly”, lightsabers are meant to cut through people like butter.
@@theoutlander2873 I agree. I stopped playing it years ago. But even so, I still rate it a better star wars experience than the 2 battlefront games and the new movies, especially to someone who cares about the universe and the story
I love the worldbuilding of TOR but hate how Revan and the Jedi Exile (she was easily killed off in the Revan prequel novel) were treated and giving them canon genders. Plus how you can't choose to join Darth Malgus's New Empire.
DarksaberForce Um, I’m pretty sure you can. The last expansion teaser legit asks you to choose between helping the two factions or sabotaging them. Frankly it all seems pretty boring, I was expecting to *actually* switch factions
It’s gonna be pretty hard to top Kotor and Kotor 2, as the best Star Wars Games in my Opinion, but this game looks like it has pretty great potential! Pretty excited and can’t wait to learn more about the game!
I might pick the game up but it's going to be at least a year after launch and this assumes that the game has zero anti-consumer practices throughout that year. I simply cannot trust EA nor Respawn to give them my money without the game being universally acclaimed as a must play by both gamers and critics alike. EA, I don't need to explain. Microtransactions, loot boxes, pay to win, they've done it all. They've earned nothing to justify people giving them the benefit of the doubt. I've seen people say "Titanfall 2 was good so I'm gonna get this." From where I stand, Respawn are just as bad as EA. I haven't played Titanfall at all but I was hearing how good 2 was and was on board. This was until the Apex Legends Iron Crown event happened which proved that Respawn is just as greedy. Locking the ability to PAY for digital item behind over a hundred dollars worth of loot boxes is just a greedy move. Then they add an option to remove the randomized element of it... for 2.5 times the price. This alone is enough for me to question whether or not buying the new Star Wars game is a good idea, then Drew Mccoy ran his mouth calling the players "asshats and freeloaders." The fact that he insulted players and still has a job at Respawn tells me that Respawn has a lot of people with anti-consumer sentiments. I sincerely hope Jedi: Fallen Order is good. I want a good Star Wars game to be on my shelf. I want to be able to pick it up and know that I am playing a game. My concern is that the publisher has proven themselves greedy and the developers are burning the little good will I have towards them.
About the "reward system" they want to implement for storing the archives when your droid scans something? Maybe, in a later update, force powers. Because if you think abt it, jedi and sith were always trying to collect knowledge.
@@CharlesVanexX Those two at least, if we don't I'll be disappointed. I'm not overly fussed if we get the flashier abilities or not, though that would be a nice addition but to at least incorporate the main iconic abilities associated with their respective side of The Force is important imo.
Doubtful but if this gets the sales and popularity they will make another game. This game is more action/adventure similar to Uncharted. The second will probably be more rpgish
I sincerely doubt it as they've stayed openly that there isn't going to be any swaying between dark and light ala kotor. I'm 99% sure that we won't see any dark side abilities because I doubt cal will suddenly succumb to the Darkside at the end of the story, but your right maybe if this does well enough we will see more variety in a sequel
@@Skyhunter826 I hope so, of course, not including such in Jedi Fallen Order wouldn't by itself be enough for me to dismiss it, it could still be a good game regardless.

Didn't notice some of this stuff, thanks. I'm pretty excited for this game and I hope it does well. I never noticed the fighting was kind of like Sekiro with the blocking, though I would have guessed it.
It'll sound dismissive which is not my intent but the combat is Sekiro : Star Wars Edition. Not a bad game to borrow combat concepts from. I'm very excited for this game. If it gets good reviews, it'll be the first EA game I've bought in 9 years.
There's no microtransactions, no loot boxing and Lucas Arts participated in the creating. I think we should let Respawn have us giving it a try. Especially since they started on the game in 2014. www.theguardian.com/games/2019/jul/05/star-wars-jedi-fallen-order-feel-the-force-respawn-entertainment
I still would like to see how microtransaction can affect "single player" game ... although thats not blue lightsaber color but some electric or maya shade
Electronic Arts is just the publisher of this game. Developer is Respawn Entertainment, known for the Titanfall games. The second installment of Titanfall featured a high quality campaign with awesome gameplay. I'm convinced they'll do it right.

Yet folks keep tossing them money hand over fist and there a Never said give them a pass. Yet folks like you act like this is a thing that EA started when in all actuality it started with MMORPG games and Mobile games. Blizzard, Gran Turismo, COD, Microsoft (to buy clothes and change the look of your avatar) and NBA2k were some of the first games to implement this on console for AAA games on a large scale where folks actually we're spending crazy money. I said people continue to complain years later about something that didn't exist in the finished BF2 game when it launched: unfair Microtransactions. Never said anything about forgiving EA but simply move on or spread the hate evenly. The microtransactions and loot boxes were only in the beta/Demo and early access (EA Access) versions of the game. On the official release date all that shit was removed. The whole point of the beta/demo is to hear what consumers like and dislike....so that the company can appease their consumers to keep demand for their product high. Why haven't we gotten any recent news or gameplay footage since E3? Kinda weird its been this long and the game is about to come out soon
Good question. They are being a bit stingy with new gameplay footage.
Realm Of Chaos there’s a new trailer on Thursday 😃
@@pascal__vhs where did you hear that?
Realm Of Chaos it’s being shown in the Merchandise reveal stream. Cameron Monaghan is there and he will reveal the new trailer
It’s a Star Wars story driven game so I think that’s why they’re so cagey with footage
We just want a better, less linear, more complex " force unleashed".why is that so hard to understand?
And maybe make starkiller cannon???plz?
Battlefront 2 has evolved quite drastically and is a far better game than when it launched. No microtransactions!
Yeah, so have a lot of a lot of games...fact of the matter is, if you rip people off and treat them like shit by delivering a half baked or flawed game it's a lot to ask for them to come back to a title or franchise.
@@ryanliddle9511 oh who gives a rats ass
Agreed, I've been thoroughly enjoying Battlefront 2 since they got rid of microtransactions.
Ryan Liddle No, I agree with you. You have to make a statement by boycott if you want developers to change their greedy antics.
To be fair though, I didn’t wanna play the new battlefronts because they tossed Galactic Conquest and Campaign.
This is incredibly well, written, produced and narrated. Nice job! Why don't you have over a million subscribers?
I hope we can go to coruscant
Dude, that’s a must! Imagine trying to escape Coruscant while Order 66 gets executed 😱
Lazy yoooo
Or like a cut scene where u battle your way through all clone troopers in coruscant
How would you like to escape coruscant while Order 66 is executed, when this game plays after Order 66 has been executed?
My 4 questions
Will i be able to turn lightsaber off and on?
Will Cal have different outfits to choose from?
What sort of replayability and things to do after the story? Any post game exploration or new game plus etc?
Will enemies respawn in levels to offer more combat options? Would love a sort of horde mode or combat arena to replay.
They need to remake KOTOR best Star Wars game ever made! So many different things to do
People, listen to this man! He speaks wise words...
A remake of KOTOR on the new generation of consoles would literally make me cry tears of the force.

"[Battlefront 2] had one of the worst monetization scheme this generation had ever seen."
How long has it been since you played a sports game?
Did you saw Battlefront, the sheer pay to win in its purest form (at launch, now its a pretty good game, thanks to the historical shitstorm!)? I hope Vader kills me at the end of this game
Why do you want to make die the protagonist⁉
Whatever but not on my watch‼😏
Personally, I like the idea that there are/were some surviving Jedi that actively chose not to get involved (so heavily, at least) with the Rebellion in order to try and preserve their traditions and culture while relying on playing the long term game to come back and make things right in the fullness of time. Too many Jedi in the current canon are shown to be idealists to a fault rather than reasonably pragmatic and this would balance that out a bit.

Embrace the Dark Side!!!!
"..Inquisitor, a specialized and powerful class of Imperial Soldier groomed specifically to hunt and kill Jedi.."
Sorry to be an asshat but they are definately not soldiers but more exactly ex-jedi, turned or manipulated to turn to the dark side and join Emperor Palpatine:
"The Inquisitorius, also known as the Inquisitorius Program, the Order of Inquisitors, and the Imperial Inquisition, was an organization of Force-sensitive agents who worked for the Galactic Empire. Members of the Inquisitorius were known as Imperial Inquisitors, Inquisitors, Red Blades, and Mystics by Imperial officers, and sometimes even Jedi hunters. They were tasked with hunting down the remaining Jedi who had survived Order 66 at the end of the Clone Wars as part of the Jedi Purge
[...]
When the Clone Wars ended, Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine formed the Galactic Empire and declared the Jedi Order its enemy. Fearing the threat the surviving Jedi posed to his rule, Palpatine created the Inquisitors to track down and eliminate the last remaining Jedi.[3][17]
[...]
The Inquisitors were all former Jedi that had turned to the dark side in someway or another,[18] with the Grand Inquisitor having served as a Jedi Temple Guard[19] and the Tenth Brother being the former Jedi Master Prosset Dibs.[20] The Emperor's apprentice Darth Vader soon discovered the program and was put in charge of them. Vader trained the Inquisitors in the ways of the dark side of the Force."
This could/can be more elaborated to give players a more personal connection towards defeating these guys. Otherwise grande video!
My 2 cents. Cheers
Sierra 82 I have a feeling the Second Sister Inquisitor is going to be revealed as someone the Jedi training him knows and was friends with in the past.

Meh, Shadow of War was terribly repetitive after a couple hours.

Doubtful but if this gets the sales and popularity they will make another game. This game is more action/adventure similar to Uncharted. The second will probably be more rpgish
I sincerely doubt it as they've stayed openly that there isn't going to be any swaying between dark and light ala kotor.
