Back in the early 80`s a mate of mine and I walked into a pub in Graymouth NZ . This was while a Test match between NZ and Australia was on the BIG screen as we walked in, NZ was losing. So we did the only thing two Aussies could do in the situation, I walked straight up to the bar and in my best kiwi accent I orded 2 beers.

The All Blacks are monsters! Please check out, Jonah Lomu, Lord of the wings. This GOD of a player is worshipped worldwide. When he passed, the whole world was in tears. The town I grew up in (in the UK) had a wake for him in all 7 pubs of the town. I won't give you the time here as that is a nice surprise. But when you do see how fast Jonah could run 100 metres. HE DID THAT SPEED BAREFOOTED!!! (please can no one spoil that time for J)

As a Kiwi when I was a kid we lived and breathed rugby union, back then 95% of the male population played rugby at some point in their lives. That stat is not so high now but it is still our number 1 sport. It was like we were bred for rugby, we have a wonderful understanding of the game and are most times leagues ahead of the rest of the world. We play in the world cup final tomorrow oh and we don't wear padding or helmets so those hits you really feel 🤙🏽

New Zealand has an estimated population of 5 million people and rugby union is our bational sport, every young boy has dreams of being an All Black. All Blacks have been the best team in rubgy history most of the time and winning 3 World Cups along the way, and hopefully a 4th World Cup on Sunday.
The All Black teams have always been dynamic in their way of trying new ways to improve the game and are usually fitter than the opposition around the world. The Haka is a war dance/challenge they perform before each match , and every New Zealander is passionate when they perform this act. They're a touch less violent than British but a touch more resilient. Respect and honour is huge over there. So those who do like to bang do it well.
Their food is ridiculous. Can't do a proper curry to save their lives but their pies (meat) are extremely high quality. Fish and chips insanely high quality. Kebabs that are legit better than German kebabs (not commonplace). They've got a lot of Asian (East, South East) food as well. Their entire food is just better than Britain.

What makes the All Blacks great is the same thing that makes the Springboks and France great. The melding of cultures. The flair and express pace of the Native Africans and Coloureds combined with the big powerful Afrikaans Dutch specimen. That's the ultimate mix. Like the rugged farming stock Pakeha and the flair merchant brutal Polynesians.
In the rest of the world Rugby is a sport. In NZ Rugby is a religion. That is why they are always on or near the top.

They are often the try scorers as the teams battle in the centre, drawing players into the battle, then spin the ball wide so the other team has to scrabble to try mark all the players, at pace they just steam roll!😂

Why are they considered great the stats may tell the story but you have to live here to understand what the game means. My son played until he was 38 he then helped coach and manage the teams his two sons played in ( Two. sons still playing ) He now referees children’s games and runs line he can no more not be involved in some way with the game than give it up. Rugby is just part of our culture
Yep, that black jersey is very hard to earn. If you're good enough to get one, you'll put your body on the line to keep it. So much history, pride and commitment.
Rugby isn't a sport in New Zealand Aotearoa, it's our national religion! When the All Blacks do the haka at the start of the game they're saying, "We haven't come here to play a game, we're here to do battle!"
You should also check out the Black Ferns, the NZ Women's rugby team.
Their breakdown play (in tackles is top level); their forward pack is one of the best; their midfield is top class; their backs is top class; most kids play Rugby from a young age and Rugby Union is the most played sports and New Zealand also poach best talents from their surrounding Pacific Nations (thru residency or scholarship offers)
Your so wrong, The majority of the players who represent the ABs are born in NZ. Similar to Africans being born in America. They are not African but rather American. But their are those who aren't born in NZ got scholarships and gain citizenship thru it. Get your facts in order.
The all blacks are the best. However they are going into this world cup under the radar a bit because they had a bad year last in 2022. But they are undefeated in 2023 so far and are playing very well so I think they will beat france in the world cup and shock the world.

I said it before and I say it again.....I challenge any FNL player that play or ever played American football to come and try play with these players for 40 minutes CONTINUOUSLY, have 10 minutes rest, and play another 40 minutes WITHOUT any padding.....none of them will last 10 minutes, and the sad part is that these guys get payed a fraction of what the NFL players are getting payed.

Rugby players do not have/own a number. The number belongs to the position. #11 belongs to the left wing.
A guy wearing #11 one week might wear #14, #15 or #12 the next week.
