A special band from a special decade. Great musicians and vocals. So pro and together. Fab.
Such a great performance, great voices - all perfect!!!
During the "World Games" 1989, I had the great experience to watch them live in my hometown in Karlsruhe/Germany on the marketplace !! it was a free entry openair concert, the place was packed with 1000tds of people+the guys were just great !! The Searchers played all their hits+more and the crowd was singing+dancing !! As life-long fan of them,I will never forget this+I`m very thankful, that I could be there on this concert !! Will never forget, that for the last encore, the guys played again a very special medley of their "greatest hits+best known songs" !! Must admit that this was a very special moment of my life+youth !!
Thanx for this, the songs, the performances+that uve been just the way ure !!!
Saw these guys last year it was amazing shame I was born in wrong era lol 60s I love the music, style.
So they're doing one last tour in the Spring of 2023, they just couldn't stay away could they!!!
I wish they'd do it properly one last time with Mike Pender, Frank Allen, John McNally and John Blunt! Won't happen though.
@@peterchecksfield9958 never say never, stranger things have happened. You'd think at the age of 80 they would realise whats important and to let go of the past.
@@peterchecksfield9958what happens to Spencer then ?
I saw the Searchers in Worcester Massachusetts in 1964. What a rush for a 14 year old impressionable young lady. Such a wonderful experience. Especially loved the tune Needles and Pins.
I have been so in love with band since I was 13!
I wish I could have seen them more than one time..that was in 1986
You’ve still got a chance! On their farewell tour next year
They play very well and love the audience, I love their music
Watching this now in 2022...They've been retired for a couple of years now, yes Cliff was right they were one of the best of the 60's British bands still going at the time...the Hollies are still doing it as are some of the old 60's singers like Steve Ellis.....this is a great performance. I was lucky enough to asee them here in Doncaster at The Dome on a Solid Silver 60's tour with Steve, Vanity Fayre, Gerry & The Pacemakers,The Tremeloes ...John McNally wasn't well that night (as was one of The Tremeloes) so one of The Pacemakers took his place. Fabulous night ....so glad I got to see them! They need to return....yes they do.....c'mon guys you've had a rest....lol
They're touring again in 2023: www.the-searchers.co.uk/home/dates/
I wish they were on Twitter, or Instagram. Saw them in the 60s in Worcester Ma. *When you walk in the room* is song i love by anyone who sings, it, like Jackie, but i LOVE the Searchers doing it, love it!
Absolutely fantastic, Reunion please for Gerry's memorial concert👍
Preferably with Mike Pender! : )
I think the lads would prefer Spencer's voice to Mike's nowadays 😯plus the big fallout with John and Mike that's never been resolved...
@@peterchecksfield9958 Spencer is superb his vocal range is much better than Mike's but as one who followed them from early 60's what a night that could be if only, both sharing those songs.
A pitty they speeded up many of their songs losing impact, and making them sound too hurried and alike.
Very good, Spencer does great job here , nice job beach baby too
With out doubt one of the best bands from the 60s 👍
Superb, Christmas allways started after we had been to The Searchers Christmas show at Hull, I saw 29 out of the 31 shows they did, won't be the same without it.
You so lucky to see them that many times I love them n I'm a 80s child but I love these guys n 60s music
Saw them several times at the Star Club in Hamburg, super band!! Sweets for my Sweet! After their hit they came back to the Star Club and opened up with that song, mayhem!!!! What glorious times!!
Excellent.
well worth watching, one of the very best groups
Another 30 years later :)
Seventy now. Still best live band John phenomenal
Very good Group of the 60's....also The Tremeloes...Dave Dee & Co..and many others.
Saw them early 60sin Everton Park called Grant Gardens they decided to play by park little did they know kids were off school thousands of kids decended on park brilliant
Love this so much. Was a teenager back in the 60's.Spencer is just great.John and Frank are amazing
Living in Miami in the early '90s, I was was thrilled (and amazed) that we got to book them for a concert (with this line-up) in Miami Beach. I got to meet them and suggested they make a dvd of performing their hits. They said "no... it would be too expensive to produce." BTW "Love Potion # 9"... which was their biggest chart hit in the U.S. (#3 Billboard) never charted at all in UK. Their concert was great... 3 hours worth!!
MIKE PENDER WAS THE BEST, PERIOD!!!
How can I ever forget the fabulous searchers. I just love them.
Going to see their final tour in April. I had seen them in the 60's, so nostalgia, here I come. 👏👏👏
This is pretty special stuff as I am a search as fan as seen in more times and concert that I can remember it's great to see some early 90s stuff will Spencer. This should be released on DVD and it's Searchers at their very best.
I love this lovely good band
Brilliant as ever,,shame they ruined it with the last song. (from Everton supporter). only a joke from football
Wow..hot band with the young blonde singer...
Wonderful
OH MY SWEET LORD - the young boy at 1:11:50 and after is FANTASTIC ! What a special time for him, and for the audience !
Half the Searchers. Need Mike Pender and Chris Curtis.👍
Some would say Tony Jackson too.
👍💙💙🌹🌟🌟
Love those Searchers. My brother was in the original Classics, around 1961 in Jacksonville, Florida.
😮Hey,the Searchers! I''m your fan club since I was young. At that time Tony and mike sang " don't throw your love away" and Tony sang "love potion no.9" they were beautuful, they two sang smootly didn't hurry .
Now ,if you,the Searchers will be popular for long, please sing slowly,Okay! I know Frank Allen didn't sing " love potion no.9,but Tony Jackson.
らら、ら、
Wish they wouldn’t speed things up for the sake of it (i.e. Sweets for my sweet). Good performance though 👍
Thanks you for the show again
I have Nice evening today 10/06/2022
I miss the original searchers
Well done guys.
Albert Einstein in the drums?
Love Potion No 9, in other words Viagra lol!
Very good but without Pender/Jackson not the same.
The greatest covers band ever
Wait, did he say the beatles played in black leather "and stuff" ?
They did...before Brian Epstein got them to change their image.
una de mis bandas favoritas ..saludos desde PERU
