Hello,does this process work on LG 32LJ520U-TA?
Hey, I have an LG 42PG3000. The firmware currently installed is V3.13.1 and I have found an update BIN file titled 42PG3000-ZA_IC303-IC304_V3.23.01_2010-04-09.bin which implies I can update to V3.23.1. When I insert the flash drive, I see nothing on display. When I switch to the Antenna input, the TV freezes and is only recoverable after mashing the MENU button on my remote. Is there any way I can even update this, do you know?

Great video, but I am having trouble with this. My TV had an OTA update after many years without connecting it to the internet, it installed that update but the firmware corrupted, now the display won't turn on and there is a high pitched noise coming from the speakers, is there a way to force it install a clean firmware?
what if the current firmware update corrupted while updating your tv and messed your tv up , is there anyway of reinstalling the same firmware?

Here when u open the usb it only shows you photolist and music but not videos (in any format) when i insert pendrive. So for that can i update just like you did. Will it work?

Is the Software update in the TV option screen the same thing as downloading the firmware and installing USB?
My lg tv 43uk6300pvb is running with software version 05.50.15. And WebOs version 4.4.2-11. Automatic update not available now. Shall i update manually with USB method with other higher version? I have a similar tv but it doesnt seem to recognize the optical connection to my soundbar. The only audio option i see is the tv speakers. Do you think the tv will recognize the optinal audio connection once i upgrade the software?

Great and informative video but the problem is that LG doesn't provide firmware .bin images for the vast majority of TVs, at best they'll provide an .epk, but you can't extract a .bin from it unless you obtain the cryptographic key from your TV... which you can't do, because it's bricked and you're trying to fix it.
I agree. I have an .epk file and I don't know what to do. I bought two LG657000PUD and one has airplay and the other doesn't. I tried everything and it isn't working.

A little advise. If your backlight went bad flashing the firmware is not the only thing you should do. You need to request that your technician break down the voltage going to the led backlights because all the companies sent higher voltage to the led than required causing the lights to blow out eventual. Example, If the backlight is maxed at 65v, they'll send 75v which is too high. Check it and get it broken down and you will never have that issue again. I know it because i did it..

On LG remote Try this: hold menu or settings button for 7 seconds then quickly press 1105 then ok/select to enter service mode, then turn off or select no to unlock any mode like hotel lock mode.

Check 5v standby volts it's labeled stby on power board. Can be bad Capacitors in power board or main board. Get tv board at shopjimmy.com or Electropartsonline.com

Max capacity of the usb drive must be 8GB for a reason and dont forget to format it as exFAT or FAT32.

Learning a lot from your videos! Question. I have a Vizio m550sv. And it wont turn on picture sometimes when something is hooked up through any HDMI port. With no other devices plugged in. It starts up and stays on, but when trying to bring up menu the response time is very slow. Like an old computer. Then will randomly work fine all day with devices hooked up like theres no issues. Any recommendations what could be the issues? Thank you
Forgot to mention, when device is hooked up and i turn tv on. If its acting up, itll shut down. Other times it will stay on. But no picture. Very random and different symptoms.

Thanks for the tutorial. What do you mean when you say "should help the backlight last longer (at 50%)"? Does this mean there is noticeable degradation over time? I have had untold problems with the LG 55" C2 and I only received it today. Couldn't even register my product or send a message to LG. It's a big fat joke. Can't select 120hz, use HDR, Select 4k deep colour, or select game optimiser. I get a black screen with Invalid format in white text. Tried resetting, changing the HDMI cable, and selecting PC for the HDMI input in dashboard. Changing the firmware is the only thing I can think of. Such a waste of time and energy!

but found if you change resolution to dynamic full - look way down below > Customize >> change from Limited to >> Full dynamic range ✌
