I like the concept and it looks nice, but it is more a showpiece than a functional camper. I have been a camper for the last 30 years. I have done tent camping, owned popups, travel trailers, and now a motorhome. I did trade my GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 for a Ford F-150 hybrid (for a better use of fuel). When I go camping, I am driving 500 to 600 miles before stopping. The Ford Lightning didn’t have enough range (especially if I was pulling a trailer to use in addition to the motorhome). The Ford dealer even talked me out of getting the Lightning. Most typically, we like to camp in State campgrounds or a KOA. As I have seen in the few videos on this unit, the common theme was to be able to go off-grid for a week. There isn’t enough “pantry” space for a week’s worth of food, especially if you are going as a family of 4. Realistically, there isn’t enough space for clothing for a week for 4 people (let alone 6 for the sleeping capacity). If you are off-grid, you don’t have access to a laundry. Overall, the windows are ok if you are off-grid without neighbors. It may not be functional in a campground if the windows are either clear to let in light or completely dark. The windows that open don’t have screens. Anyone that has gone camping has to deal with bugs. Many people don’t use A/C and rely on ventilation from MaxAir fans and open windows. Open the entire bathroom wall may be a bit much. Not only being able to see nature, but to smell and feel it. Camping is dirty. Is there an outside shower? Is there a 30 Amp hook up for shore power? A 30A connection can be used to run the trailer while camping or switch over if the batteries drain while camping and get recharged. Not every campsite has full sun or even partial sun. I didn’t see where the black and gray water connections were. They should be opposite to camp side of the trailer (if they aren’t already). Is the water connection for city water or just to fill the tank? Is there an outside shower to rinse off some of the “gunk” from the day in nature? What is it like to setup camp? I saw in one video that the stabilizer jacks were manual. For the cost of the trailer, there really should be an auto leveling system. I like that fact that it doesn’t come with a TV. You are right that you are there for nature. Having a mount for an optional projector is the better option. While the trailer does appeal to me, it looks too sterile to be used to for a biking, fishing, kayaking, or nature hiking camping trip. These are dirty trips and the unit would get exceptionally dirty. Lightship should be at the Chicago RV show in February.

So it sounds to me like this is not the camper for you if you’re planning to stay longer than a week, and you’re a family of 4. I think it’s too soon to know, what is the utility/usefulness of this particular type of travel camper.
So I will reserve judgment until I see some real world use of the of this travel camper before I would even think about buying one. Cheers 🥂
