They have pretty much became the new go to free standing tent for hot tent camping. So you definitely made a good choice! Well its Hot Tent weather for the next week or so, hope you get out in it. I am converting a tent into hot tent capability since I only go hammock camping now. I was wondering about putting a bit of those metal pan scrubbers in the top of the chimney as a spark arrester, because people say small sparks land on the nylon tent and burn a small hole in it, which then lets in rain. I dont think it would block the smoke at all, not the entire scrubber but a thinned out bit, with a couple of holes drilled in the top of the chimney so that a bit of metal wire can go through to secure the spark stopper.

Thanks Ben for this excellent video. Not many UK UA-camrs do hot tent camping so please keep doing these. I hope you will take this out in the depths of winter surrounded by snow. I was quite concerned at how hot that pipe got, and there was no spark arrestor at the top, and no way to guy line that pipe in case of heavy wind (from the elements, not Letter Beans) great video. Thank you

To turn the stove down you need to partially close the air slots beneath the door. You shouldn’t have it so hot that the chimney glows - that will melt one of those rubber stove jacks (now I wonder how I found that out?)!

The ones in your links seem to have a way of controlling the amount of air that goes inside the stove - from the front. That and the flue should control the temperature I guess. I couldn't see how it'd work on your model though.
Make sure if you ever burn wood in that stove that you put a spark arrestor on top of the pipe so embers don't shoot out and catch things on fire. Especially your tent while you're in it.
Obviously too much heat going up the pipe to make it glow like that, shows how much is being wasted. Though it doesn't help that the pipe material is thin so makes it look worse than it is.
Like the look of that tent 👍 defo get a spark arrestor mate and wouldn't really recommend heat log as they get too hot and warp the titanium. Also try to only burn dry well seasoned wood - minimize sparks and not pine - too much resin will block ur chimney 👍

Interesting stuff. However, I'll say the same to you that i've said to other youtubers. Too many adverts, 7 unskipable mid roll adverts and 2 at the end, TOO MANY
I don’t touch the ads. Others probably don’t either.
Watching you Brits doing camping videos is like watching the Special Olympics 😂😂😂
You’re welcome 🫡
Wait until you see Belgian camping videos🤣
Dont even know why they produce any tent with less than 3000HH. Pointless.
Because it doesn’t always rain 🤷♂️
Were you maybe a bean counter in a former life?
I was, and I frequently compare a can of Heinz beans versus the Sainsbury's own brand, counting the contents spread out on my kitchen table. You can also weigh the beans, and the tomato sauce, for a full value assessment.
On topic. I'm not doing hot tent camping until Lidl have one in their middle aisle. I'm betting their stove pipe won't, like yours, be made from bacofoil.
That tent looks different to the one on the naturehike website, where you have another door you can set up as an awning with poles, is yours a different model mate? Atb Paul 🙏 🏕 🏕🏕😁
Sounds like you’re looking at the 2 man version. Mine is the 1 man solo model. Link in description 🫡
