Just for they record the make stove jack kits for about $25 that have a silicone collar that fits snugly around the stove pipe and will prevent 95% of that leaking . They also make aluminized squares with a velcro border , you could attach the silicone stove jack to that instead of directly to your tent so it would be completely removable when folding , just a thought .
I think that stove is too small for that tent. Is that stove jack pre cut when you get it or did you need to cut it yourself ? Because it should be a much more snug fit than what I can see.
just buy a _hot tent silicone flue cover_ and slide it over the end of the flue until it reaches the tent below. no need to bolt or glue it just make sure it covers the slits and hole
Pretty good vid. Never tried compressed wood, its interesting. You might need a bigger stove for that tent. If it's sized right you should get at least 1.5 to 2 hrs with soft wood. I get 2.5-3hrs with oak. Feeding the stove is part of the experience. Battery string lights are a nice addition for ambient light.
No, we haven't explored Japanese or Korean hot tents yet. If you have any specific models in mind or recommendations, we'd love to hear about them! 🏕️🔥
Carbon dioxide is not poisonous but it can suffocate you by being heaviee than air and forcing that air into the top of the tent or out of the tent altogether.

I've found that the compressed sawdust bricks burn cooler, but a good bit longer as a result. Good for loading up the stove before bed

Yes, the stove jacket was pre-cut.

Thanks for the feedback! ️ Feeding the fire is definitely the best part of hot tenting.
I’ve been thinking about buying a stove and hot tent. Have you seen any of the Japanese or Korean tents?

Where did you purchase the reflective heat pad?
Whoops. Looks like we forgot it! We have updated the video description. Here is our affiliate link for the Fire Mat - amzn.to/3LhToKj (Amazon).

heavier not heaviee
Use a buddy heater with a 20 lb tank 😉
That is a good option as well but we do enjoy having the fire. 🔥😁
