How to sharpen a hoof knife

In this video I show you how to sharpen either a left or right handed hoof knife and a loop hoof knife. A sharp hoof knife is key when trimming horse hooves and will make trimming your horses' frogs and bars much easier.

How about showing nippers as well from dull to sharp?

Thank you for watching! Personally, I don't sharpen my nippers because I use the G.E. Nippers which stay sharp for a very long time. I use mine for about two years trimming about 30 horses a week and when they start to seem dull I buy a new one. You can send nippers off to professional sharpeners but the cost of that combined with shipping heavy nippers may not be worth it. I also don't think they ever get quite back to new sharpness. I hope this helps!
