I'm 4 months post relaxer, (something I've never done) and following the hair routines of women who show you how to maintain relaxed hair works!!! Hot oil treatments, weekly washing and conditioning has done wonders for me and causes the hair to be extremely manageable!! No need for relaxing often!!!! I don't use any heat ❤ Its been two years and about 7 inches of new growth 🎉🎉 LOVE MY BRAID OUTS.....And for the record, I'M FULLY BLACK. SOME OF YOU CHICKS ARE BUGGIN AND IGNORANT AND POSSIBLY BALD 😂!! NATURAL AND RELAXED HAIR REQUIRES CARE...WHICH IS WHY THERE ARE WOMEN SHOWING YOU ITS POSSIBLE TO GROW LONG NATURAL OR RELAXED HAIR, FOR THOSE THAT ARE FULLY BLACK ⚫️ AND OTHERWISE

I grew up in the relaxer era so I'm sort of sad to see them growing in popularity again. There was so much damage! Buuut there hasn't been many solutions to making it easier to care for thicker/kinkier hair types unless its loc'd. It's literally a struggle even with advancements in products. You're doing a great job in caring for your hair and education might be the difference for DIY warriors. Your hair is gorgeous in all it's states. ❤

Very true and I agree !! People should do what they want I personally went back to relaxed about 7 years ago after being natural for sometimes and how quickly o remembered why I stopped relaxing. So for me I prefer non relaxed hair … but like u said the struggle is real either way.
Women should really look into healthy heat training if they want straight hair … like the Glam twinz and so many others.

Hey girl! I also have a relaxer/texuriser (coming up on a year now) and I loveeee it ! I was a natural my whole life and I loved my hair however despite growing it for 23 years it still would shrink to my ears. Which is fine, however im an expressive person and wanted to wear my hair down with different styles without my hair taking two days to dry, just to shrink up as soon as I walk outside lol. When I switched my natural routine to washing weekly, no raw oils or butters, and simplified and consistent use of products I got the same result as your relaxed routine.. I use the same products every wash day and don't need much product so I save so much $$, my wash detangle dry/set routine takes about 1.5hrs start to finish so I get to save time, and I have shake and go hair between resets.. I wash every 5-7days and wear a bonnet at night.. I noticed my learning better tecnique from a stylist made all the difference in the world.. I still have shrinkage, but even that's minimalized by my overall process of applying products to soaking wet hair using just water as a stretching tool.. I love seeing women find their way to a simpler life of their hair just getting to be hair.. Whether that's by way of natural or altered texture hair.. Long as it's brought ease to life its amazing in my book.. 🎉 Cheers to finding what works best for you and the health of your hair..

@@ObatalaOchun I suggest to EVERYONE to link with a "cut it kinky" alum stylist.. Best decision/investment I ever made.. My initial appointment wasn't cheap, I mean cheaper than a wig install, braids, or weave but for just a "wash and style" it seemed pricey.. It has been the best $$ I have ever spent when it pertains to anything beauty.. The amount of time and money I've saved in the last 1.5yrs has more than covered the costs of that appointment.. And my follow up cuts cost the same as any salon visit.. If you are thinking about it, do it.. I couldn't love my hair more and though I did big chop to get the result I wanted, you can opt to get corrective cuts and slowly get to the desired shape you're looking for.. But I was ready to go head 1st into a new routine.. Good luck to you..!!

In the side by side comparison of you rinsing your hair, you said that your relaxed hair is more porous then it was when natural. I believe it. But in the relaxed hair rinse video, you had the shower head directly over your head and close to your scalp while in the natural video, it looked like the shower head was far from your actual head. Just my observation.
