Relaxed my hair last year it was the best decision! Girl it takes me less than 5 minutes to do my hair when it's not in a protective style. My 'washday' is 20 minutes (shampoo, deep conditioner everything!!) And I retain length like crazy because my hair doesn't tangle anymore I can go a week with a bun or ponytail only brushing the top to smooth flyaways and by weekend for washday no tangles. I don't get the people who say relaxed hair is just as much maintenance as natural hair but I get that everyone is different, personally though it's been smooth sailing.
You’re the most chaotic person on the internet😂🤌🏾…First you try relaxing your hair by yourself, then went to get more relaxer with half relaxed hair😂,finally ended up using two different brands of relaxer on your hair at the same time😂🤌🏾. Ima what is it? Haven’t you done enough?🎶😂
Ohh baby, I threw in the towel in April 2024, one of the best decisions ! I texturized my hair, thugged out the natural hair for 9 years, that's enough, I would be near to tears whenever I combed my hair, my scalp would always be hot and feel like I'm on fire.
The timing of this video is crazy. I’ve also been natural for just over ten years after transitioning for a year but I’ve had enough. Been battling for months on what to do- straight natural, keratine treatment or relaxer. Literally was looking up relaxers to get on Amazon yesterday. It’s nice to see I’m not alone and we’re all going through similar experiences. The guilt has been eating me up.
Giirlllllll it’s your hair! You do whatever you want to it… and ur hair looks good. However, here are some solutions to the problems she mentioned… if you have cornrows for a month, moisturize at least once or twice a week and be gentle when taking down… use a satin bonnet also your hair won’t break… if your hair gets rough easily in hairstyles, straighten it before you make your hair, it has the exact effect as a relaxer, your hair will literally be straight… I know it’s not easy and takes dedication but so does diet, skincare, exercise 😂 it’s literally part of life…
Handling wool the same way you handle polyester makes no sense so why would you handle coils the same way you handle Caucasian straight hair. It make no sense to pull at your hair and expect a comb to go through it easily. It’s so unfortunate that we struggle so much to simply accept our hair for what it is.
@@MissimaaaPlease sister, I wasn’t trying to come at you. I know you can’t hear my tone so my words might come off that way. I really do feel like the problem is that most of us don’t understand our natural hair and not that the hair is itself inherently difficult.

Just use a blow dryer and stretch your hair. It will be easier. Don’t relax your hair 😢

Your hair looks very dry and damaged, you would really benefit from a big chop
