Dr Idriss I would love to see you do a review on the Hungarian brand Geek and Gorgeous. They do a near perfect dupe for Skinceutical's Vitamin C, BUT they make theirs fresh weekly!
You're so right about layering. I have mature dry skin and live in Alaska. My skin was a disaster until I started layering products. What a difference it has made!
BTW Embryolisse makes a FF free version of that same product! I have it

Agree on G&G! I'm from Singapore, found their Vitamin C and fell in love with the brand. I've used their cleanser, cleansing balm, moisturiser, niacinamide, beta-glucan, retinal 0.05% (which I can even put on my eyelids, undereye and around my mouth. I've combination mature skin) etc. Absolutely adoring them. It's like they've no bad products!

Whenever you feel comfortable applying your next product. If you look at the research for varies products, retinol for example, none of the studies look at or specify any wait time. They still all displayed positive results, so waiting a set amount of time doesn’t seem to matter much.

Thank you for saying that SC CE Ferulic is NOT good for sensitive skin! I have communicated my sensitive skin issues to a derm, and that is what she prescribed me. I had red burned away patches all over my face!
I feel like every time I go to a derm, they make it even worse for me. Like when another derm prescribed me tretinoin with zero instructions and it permanently ruined my skin.
I feel that some professionals do not take enough responsibility for their role and the trust patients place into their judgment.

Good morning, Dr. Idriss. I have learned so much from your videos. I recently purchased the Major Fade Hyper Serum. Just wait for it to arrive. When I was in my youth I had a cute smattering of freckles, that now sadly, look like old lady sun spots. I'm hoping this will help.
I would love to see a video or short on using homemade essential oil cocktails. I know they are used in some skin care brands. But wondering about their effectiveness when used in a carrier oil. Thank you for educating us nerds 😊
Update! Major Fade Hyper Serum arrived yesterday afternoon 😊.
I took a photo yesterday, day one. I will take another in a month or so to check the progress. Thank you for all you do!! It's much appreciated! Next payday, flash mask.

This was very helpful! Thank you! Sunbum's tinted mineral sunscreen is the best daily spf I've found for sensitive skin that has a genuinely undetectable effect -- it's more like a BB cream and is very slightly mattifying! And Bloomeffects has a great one too but it leaves your skin super shiny if you use it in humid environments. :)

Little skin nerd here! I wanted to get an Led mask for the Black Friday sales. I watched your past video on led masks and it was extremely helpful! I reached out to higher dose and their red wave was at 630nm but the irradiance they confirmed was approximately 50mW/cm2 which leads me to believe it’s delivering a stronger dose than the Omnilux that uses ~35mW/cm2 for the red wave at 633nm. Using your formula I got 30j for Higher dose and 21j for Omnilux. I ordered both but I think I am going to keep higher dose one although Omnilux spares no expense on their marketing. I also like that higher dose offers a 20min treatment option. Anyways I just wanted you to know I put all that info to work to make the best decision! I look forward to the benefits!
I would love if you gave your thoughts on the Beverly Hills MD products. The dermal repair supplement, and cream in particular.

I use different strengths of retinol several times a week, this method works! I did try Neocutis eye cream this year, and I’m not sure if it helped with lines and wrinkles, I’m going to try less expensive eye creams with retinol and see if they work better. To those wanting to try Neocutis, using just a small amount lasted 6 months for me.

Everybody & their dog recommends the La Roche-Posay Toleraine Double Repair Moisturizer, and it just sits on top of my skin. When it dries down - & doesn't matter if it has sunscreen or not - it becomes a film that I can literally rub off my face. Which makes me sad, because I have dry & sensitive skin, & I really want to like & use it.

I tried the BeautyStat vitamin C serum and as a dry skinned gal with occasionally sensitive skin I experienced an unbearable tingly burning sensation each time I used it. I resorted to applying it to my shoulders to help with sun spots there so I wouldn’t waste the bottle and even that stung. Not to mention the silicone-y weird texture. It feels like a silicone makeup primer. Word to the wise…

Hi! I've only recently found your videos and love how you deliver information. Would it be possible to figure out (+/-) the percentage of actives in products by looking at the ingredients list? I was using Maelove for my A, B, Cs but they no longer deliver to Canada (story of my life). I started looking at possible replacements but got caught up in how much of the active is in each product. I heard there is a drop off after the first 5 ingredients, which means everything is mostly water, glycerin, niacinimide, and in some cases aloe. I also heard anything that comes after a preservative is basically not doing anything. I've become obsessed with figuring this out. There's a Canadian brand -IDC Dermo - that looks interesting, but the ingredient decks on their products are massive! I find it impossible that their one product would fight the "16 signs of aging" (when did it go up from 5 or 7?). Anyway, any clarification about the amount of ingredients within a product would be awesome. Thank you!

Thank you Dr. Idriss! I was considering the retinol from skinceuticals but noticed they test on animals and not cruelty free. I been using the Paulas choice 1% retinol for the past year and like it but I think I like to go higher straight. is there an over the counter that you can recommend? thank you!

LEARN: Two hacks you’ve mentioned and would like more in depth. 1. You’re glycerin face spray hack. How many parts water to glycerine. Love the little spray bottles you use:-) 2. The UV “ woods lamp”? hack to see if a UV item really works. Is there a cheaper blue light type device that would work? You are so great to watch. Major presence and likability. Not to mention your intelligence and teaching heart. Thanks Dr!

What do you think about “Mica” that is added to most skincare products? One brand that adds Mica in their retinol is the “Olay Regenerist Retinol24”. Does Mica do good or bad for the skin?

Thank you for all the good info. I have a question concerning milia. I’m 60 and i find the milia getting worse and more numerous in the last 3 years. Should i be trying to remove them myself? At the dermatologist office? Or at the spa with an esthetician? Thanks again.

Dr Idriss, J'adore you! I'm 54 and wish I'd found you earlier! I've been binge-watching you this week! I'm feeling a little overwhelmed and have a few questions. I'm currently cleansing with Cerave hydrating cleanser, misting with Maya chia essence, using the maya chia vitamin c during the day and maya chia straight a retinol at night with the maya chia advanced response moisturizer. I want to add a growth peptide - probably the allies of skin you recommend in this video. The biggest issue I have is the dreaded sagging which has gotten very noticeable very quickly. The reviews I've read on TNS are a little mixed as some people have had problems with the pump working and it's so expensive. Is there anything else I should add? My skin still feels dry. I'm excited to try your hyper serum! Will that replace just the maya chia vitamin c? My plan was to add a tret after using the straight a which seemed like the gentler option to start with. Sorry for so many questions at once but it's so refreshing to find someone I believe I can trust! Sending you heaps of gratitude. #fanforlife #newnerd

I forget which recent video I saw that you mentioned and recommended Aveeno Eczema Therapy Balm so I'll just leave this comment here. I hope you read this, Dr. Idriss. I just finished my last tub of the former mentioned product and opened a new tub that has a top/lid that is the same color as the rest of the product which is sort of beige. They must have changed their formulation. It used to feel like more of a creamy and thick balm. Now it feels like they added a lot more petrolatum. It feels a little greasy like a thick ointment almost. I really prefer the old balm but at least it's still 1% colloidal oatmeal. That's the important part I guess.

So for the pigmentation products, can we use both the la Posh rosay and one of the vitamin c serums together? Like cleanse, one serum, another serum, moisturize, sunscreen (every day)? Pigmentation is all I need to focus on.
