- This is my cover of the song "Not Tomorrow" featured in Konami's hit survival horror title, Silent Hill. The song was originally composed by the ever talented, Akira Yamaoka, who was the series composer for majority of the games involved. This cover was recorded in 2008 and was performed as a part of my Progressive Death Jazz project, Skeletorium.
The cover is a part of a bigger project, a Silent Hill Tribute album titled "Halo of the Sun". The album is still in the works and you can follow it's progress and check out more music from the project here - skeletorium.ba...

Funny how there's an overlap between Buckethead and Akira Yamaoka in their emotional pieces. My favourite BH songs are Angel Monster and Ghost. They sound so much like Yamaoka's work.

I always felt bad for Lisa. She deserved to be saved. I hope one day they remake this game and Harry saves her.
She was already dead. Apparently when a ghost in silent hill realizes they're dead. They "die" as a ghost. So he really couldn't save her
She was a bad person. She cooperated in the torture of alessa and did not let the authorities know. She was hot tho
@@gnavarro957 but she was gotten addicted and bribed with drugs by Kauffman. If anything, she was manipulated into everything and her fate was sealed because of it. If anything, she's just as much a victim as Alessa.
@@gnavarro957 "a bad person" belies the complexity and emotional maturity of Silent Hill. She was... a troubled person in a terrible situation, making choices when the only choices she had were bad ones.

This is the best cover of this song that i found. Don't get me wrong, the other covers are also astonishingly good, but this one... This one is just mind blowing!

It always upset me that he just leaves her. I mean i get it, she was long gone before Harry ever came to Silent Hill. There's nothing he could have done for her but he just abandons her out of fear and condemns her to loneliness.

My life so far has been hell, to others I may seem okay but in reality I'm in my own mind , my own hell that I created because I lost so much and this pain is so great that it consumes me most of the time , been drinking almost everyday and night to forget the pain but I still can't get over how my girlfriend died in the car crash , it was raining one night and she and a few friends were out and a deer ran infront and she didn't wanna hit it , she ended up crashing into the ditch resulting into a terrible wreck, all those months, photos of our memories and of her , feels so haunting to me considering I went down this road
move on, friend. I bet she always want see you smile and fine, wherever she is. Like in Silent Hill, you have to face this hell, this pain and learn with it. I hope you are okay today.
same story for me. keep strengh. its been 14 years now for me. almost 15. still healing. 0,1 % per years, but healing .... the other commentary, we had hear this 1000000 times ... but .... impossible. i destroyed all women after, so i stoped women since 8 years now. no one. even no sex. even this its not interisting me. keep strengh. its hard.
if i may tell you, its hard i know but just go on with what youre doing, shes gone physically but she lives in your heart forever. You should carry on, for her, and for your people. As hard as it seems, where is darkness and shadow will be light and bright at some point. At the end of the tunnel is light again.

This is beautiful, truly amazing. I remember playing this and through my desperation frantically searching for some way to save her; in the end we learn that there was nothing we could do. Lisa was just a light in the darkness for us, her gentle voice and caring nature destined to be torn away from us over and over again. Thank you so much for this exquisite cover.

Simply amazing cover..... Every note is played very good and it creates an entirely different feel to the original soundtrack, while keeping the same melancholic/beautiful tone. The distortion and solo kicks in and makes the song feel much more epic and changes the mood, until it dies back down. Thank you for this cover, and keep up the guitar work!

Did you ever finish the Silent Hill Tribute Album? I think you're onto something here this is great.
Hey thanks a lot, I didn't finish the album for a number of reasons, the most important being that I conceptualized the album back in 2012 when I was just getting into home recording and composition so at the time I was still very much a novice. I didn't want that showing through on the album. Now back then I think I completed 5 songs including this cover and the song "Nowhere" which you can also find here on my channel. Now that I've moved into a house, I'm upgrading my home studio and once I'm back up and running I'm going to resume all projects including the SH tribute album.
@@thelonglakerockstar Based on how awesome this song is, I hope you DO finish that SH tribute album. I LOVE the music of Silent Hill (well, mostly just the music from the games made by Team Silent).

there's something about akira yamaoka's music, it's like the guitar sound is a moan in pain and there's lot's of reverb and i can hear lot's of slides in the playing, i mean it's pretty basic stuff but very cleverly done 👍
There's more to Lisas story, got to play SH Origins. It sheds a new light on her.

Not rude at all lol very glad you asked. I used a BC Rich Mockingbird Masterpiece. It's actually the guitar I'm holding in my channel profile picture and I have other videos on my channel of me playing it. I got it as a Christmas gift one year and I remember immediately recording this cover that same morning I was so excited.

When Harry met her for the final time in the other world hospital, she described how she found out she was "Like them" (referring to the nurses and medical staff who were dead and had that parasite creature, though She didn't have that thing on her back.
In fact it was probably Kaufmann who killed her as an a ttempt to silence her if she were to ever speak to the authorities.
She also was responsible for what happened to Alessa in the basement of the hospital along with Dhalia and the Cult.
Nonetheless a tragic character that was dead even before Harry came into Silent Hill to search for Cheryl.

I don't know about Konomi, I never got a copyright claim or strike from them when I uploaded this cover but anything's possible. I wouldn't copyright strike you for using this especially since its a cover of a song I didn't compose. You'd have to be a real piece of crap to copyright strike people when you're not the rights holder but I'm sure it happens.
