I prefer single supplements now , it’s also easier to pin point which one /ones are working for you. Take eg magnesium oxide , it’s been said that is “ rubbish “, well I can say that the first time I took it I not only felt and slept better. Also no upset tummy if I take it with food/ meal times. Read about it not being so great , switch it up with a three mag combo “ nothing “. I decided to switch back , and yep it works. Therefore what suits one doesn’t suit all. My take on the matter.
Magnesium oxide has the absorption 4%, you might as well flush money down the drain. Sure it can help, if you manage to hold it in, but there are better options.
There are like 10 different forms of magnesium in supplement form. Each form treats different ailments, some have undesirable side effects. I have palpitations. Oxide doesnt not help this as its absorption rate is so low. They say the best form of mag for palps is mag glycinate (highly absorbable) That form alone does not work for me. It is when i take the combo forms such as glycinate/malate/citrate that it works. They are all highly absorbable. Do more research. Oxide is the worst for and theres a reason its in multis, because its cheap.
Funny you mention that. I took magnesium oxide for awhile and noticed good effects, but then switched to magnesium bisglycinate and the benefits stopped.
@@user-zr6pl6nb6z Maybe oxide targets whichever condition u take it for better than the others. They all target different conditions. Oxide still remains the least absorbable of all magnesiums.
Thank you for your information. In the end testing one's seems to be the best way. Still: If the Multi-Vitamin-Supplement balances itself and you balance it out by adding some Vitamins yourself, Multi-Vitamin can be a cheap and easy way for supplementation. I got a good one from Watson Nutrition and i guess i need to take Magnesium as well, so i am balanced. Thank you.
I agree that multi vitamins are too diluted. I need magnesium, zinc, k2, b6, folic , E and D. I don't have access or the time to create nutrient rich foods and I'm so confused by the supplements available. It seems the company's that promote heavily are very expensive like fruits and veggie pills. I want to eat and drink my supplements. Can you suggest anything?
Your better off to use a broad spectrum green vegetable powder than purchasing individual vitamins as the plants place them in the right ratio and balance. Add a pinch of Celtic or Himalayan natural salt for mineral to the green juice powder, make or purchase a fresh juice daily adding pinch of the above.
'Premium multi' by Natural elements is very good. You need to take two a day and they aren't small, but they contain most of the vitamins and minerals good quantity and quality. ignore their other multivitamins, they are incomplete or bio unavailable.
Cod liver oil is fantastic for its essential fatty acids but you will not absorb the vitamin D content if your urine pH is above 6.8. Generally this also means it’s not required. To test your pH just use pH paper, select a good brand with clear colour increments on the label and test urine 2 hours after eating.
I would say molybdenum and vit K2 are very hard to get mineral for most people from the diet.. Also chromium and silica is very important and low in most people. Do you take anything to increase your silica Felix? Like rich people drink Fiji water that is very high in silica.. I take Geosilica from Iceland..
If i am not mistaken 'stinging nettle' contains among other minerals and more, also silica. It has to be fresh. The young leaves are best. You forage them where no insecticides, pesticides and other chemicals are used. Make soup out of it and thea. Look up other herbs with silica...

You say Multi-vitamins are bad, but are you just referring to the ones that have a TON of vitamin stacked into a single pill, like 6-10 multi-vitamins? Recently, I've been considering whether or not to take Jarrow K-Right, since it have Vitamin D3, K1, K2, all rolled into one. I was considering InnovixLabs Vitamin D3 K2 Supplement, but it's Vit D3 dosage was too high for my standard. As a simple Yes/No question "In your opinion, would it be OK (SAFE) for me to take Jarrow K-Right supplement, even though it's not as optimal as taking seperate, single-vitamin supplements.?"
Wow thats some good information! I eat multivitamins everyday so this is good knowledge! I also do week in of Ditomasious earth (sp) that supposedly has magnesium in it. Thank you for this information and looks like i got some research to do🤷
I never take store bought vitamins as I use herbal and tea concoction usually in solution or from dried source. Simply soak the dried herbs like nettle, rosemary, kelp, alfalfa or if growing fresh, cut and soak in warm water for at least 30 minutes. Cover the container or cup while this is occurring to enhance the strength. Drink twice daily with meals. It’s very high in mineral and vitamins, is a fraction of the cost. Another excellent source of mineral and vitamins is organic molasses tea. One teaspoon of molasses in warm water and steep for 15 minutes and drink as a tea. Always add a pinch of Ascorbic acid or cinnamon while it’s brewing, this kills any mould.
Is it really white like a cotton layer or just somewhat whiter than surrounding tissue? If it looks like it's a thick cotton layer than it's thrush or Candida all over your tongue and you need an anti-fungal like Kolorex, an Australian herb. If it's not thrush but always looks somewhat whiter than your mouth, you might just have post nasal drip and you really can't get rid of it.
@@orsacchiottoscartato2974 caprylic acid works 90percent of time too. Fluconazile works great . Test for parasites as these can cause thrush. Also check A1C if prediabetic one is prone to yeast.
You just have to be smart about supplementation. I take a multi that requires 8 pills at a time to get the doses on the bottle. I just take two per day. The multi has no absurd amounts of B-vitamins or any other vitamin. Instead of getting 1000% of the RDA I end up with 30-60% which is enough to support function but not create imbalances. This gives me a bit over 1000iu of Vitamin D, 125mg of magnesium, 125 of Vitamin C.. etc.
Aye maybe so but bear in mind not everyone can get the necessary nutrients from food especially nowadays as a high percentage of the food is devoid of what essential nutrients they actually need on a daily basis. Most so called experts say you can get all you need from food I have never believed that fact, plus not everyone likes foodstuffs the like of fruits or vegetables or for that matter fish products, also overcooking can destroy essential vitamins, bottom line it's a no win situation! But you also have to realise that if you buy vitamin supplements from a reliable source a supplement without any excipients, fillers, binders and the likes you should get a vitamin that has only the required daily dose of each vitamin and minerals required, admittedly most don't have much Calcium or Magnesium in them that's up to you to consume foods that do contain these nutrients.🤔
There is flaws here. You say it's bad because multivitamins fill up all vitamins, but some are actually very well balanced with not high doses where it shouldn't and decent enough doses where you should or could without problems. Check out solaray spectro Norwegian version. I love that mulitvitamin as a base. But I always has breaks and don't even take it every single day. That's also ways to balance it.
The problem is that every person's nutrient levels are different, so you won't know which nutrient they need without testing. This means "well balanced" means something different for every person.
Also, no multivitamin pill can possibly fit enough magnesium in it or potassium in it to fulfill daily requirements.
Sometimes this is hilariously obvious! Weighing the capsule it can be less than half what is claimed to be contained!
wow the incompetence is oblivious @@glasslinger
I take a multivitamins, magnesium glycinate, iron complex, vitamin D3 and K2 and a good quality vitamin B complex. I feel amazing!
