+FierceFlame9001 I expected weird stuff from something trying to translate the drums machines sound into English but I was surprised with actual information.
The nice thing with the claps on the Tanzbär is, that you can turn the data knob and it changes the sound from one clap to many fast wild single claps - excellent for weird effects.
Any time I'm looking to add to my studio, I swear to god, the only things I end up liking are ALWAYS over a grand. The Machinedrum and MFB were amazing
9 drum machines, ranging from a couple hundred dollars to thousands, some analogue, some modelling, and they are all basically doing the *way* overdone 808 and 909 sounds. I wish manufacturers would branch out a bit from that stereotypical sound and offer machines with the thick, woody tones of older machines like the CR-78, MiniPops, Rhythm Kings etc. I love my early 70s Maestro!
they all sound so basic and primitive. I never got the whole 808 / 909 buzz either. Why do people pay so much money to get such an old and outdated set of sounds? I think its time to move on from the past and make new machines that are capable of doing more than just sinewave kick drums and noise claps and hi hats.
@@rohamtavakkoli7562 I used to believe this, until I started playing with Roland's 808 software drum machine. There's a lot of tricks the machine does you can't so easily do with just sampling. Besides, even if you're making new sounds, you'd be surprised how many new sounds usually end up with an 808 kick layered underneath.
I have played „Drums“ in the sink of my kitchen, just record it for fun an have some „fresh“ Sounds. Load this sounds in NI Mashine and have fun of that. I love the old drummcomputer. Thank you for the update. L G M 🎧🎼👍
Great collection. My favourite drum machine has to be the Alesis SR16. In an age where a lot of things are quickly outdated it has been on sale for over 20 years. I find that amazing.
absolutely loving how high quality the beats are! in most demos people just make shitty loops and don't even bother (or maybe don't possess the skill) thanks for putting in the extra effort :)
Really good video at all.. interesting informations, nice effects and i really enjoyed your explanations and especially the sound you made with this ! awesome !
Great video! I would now add the Korg Volca Drum to this list. A fine instrument with plenty of sound sculpting methods that can make things from straightforward drums to weird clicks and glitches and even melodic parts.
Thanks ! Unfortunatelly the tr-8 pattern dont reflect so well its sonic range, what would be great is to try to create almost same pattern with all these toys ! Thank you for the experience although !
MFB is building great machines, I also have the Dominion 1 besides the Tanzbär, and it´s sounding great. Only thing is the many functions are mostly accessible via Shift buttons, not so intuitive or quick like a Sub37 for example... but the sound makes it worth it. I also like the dimensions of the Tanzbär.
Guess it all depends what you already own. I have an Octatrack and an Analog Four, so I think the TR-8 fits in nicely with them if I dont wanna spend on the Tanzbar.
tanzbär all day all night, every day! 522 also fun. Vermona also very interesting, seems to be little bit more different, user interface. Same as elektron. Aira ABC or ACB can throw out of the window.
must admit...that looks like endless fun. i got rid of the tr8 after 2 months because it couldn't compete with the volca (just on enjoyment of use alone =) but...the vermona won this 'round' for me. *edit: or maybe the 'elektron' ! lol call it a tie.
Nice comparison video!!! I was hoping there will be even the Metasonix D1000 included, it's a beast. The TR8 doesn't sound bad either though. I would take the Vermona, would be matching pair with my Perfourmer mk2
Really useful as a "remplacement" for the TR8 imo. One should spend money on a full quality beat machine or save some dollars and get a volca wher ehe will have a lot more fun and flexibility with samples.
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GUYS TURN ON SUBTITLES IT'S AMAZING
+FierceFlame9001 I expected weird stuff from something trying to translate the drums machines sound into English but I was surprised with actual information.
dude, thanks for that!
Watched over 3times during past month. Happy to find your suggestion. Let me watch again
So much thanks for you
Thanks for the heads up :)
The Elektron Machinedrum is in a category of it’s own. Easily one of the best drum machines ever created
Agree. I have had mine since the first model came out, and it's still fantastic. I do think it needs to be paired with an analog drum machine, though.
The Machinedrum is a classic!
i come to. say. that. i want to change. my sps1 with a tanzbar, but now i dont know 😵😵💫
Machinedrum rocks
00:07 Roland AIRA TR-8
01:58 Korg Volca Beats
03:29 MFB Tanzbar
05:11 MFB 522
06:22 Vermona DRM1 mkIII

09:40 Elektron Machinedrum
12:31 TipTop Audio BD808,BD909,SD808,,Hats808,Hats909,909CP

Rough price guide would also be helpful ?
Thanks
+slobomitic god bless you
PAWELDUN Music m
slobomitic thank you
Volca Sample basically kills the Beats from what I've seen and heard. I love my Sample, it's an excellent drum machine :)
The Vermona DRM1 mkIII has an interesting and inspiring sound to me...
the clap on the tanzbar is killer!
Yes it is. I downloaded a tanzbar samplepack (for free) from wave alchemy because of this clapsound.
Thanks for the tip! Gonna use these in my volca sample :)
Hydra machine if sequences
The nice thing with the claps on the Tanzbär is, that you can turn the data knob and it changes the sound from one clap to many fast wild single claps - excellent for weird effects.
9859734 paul yeah....hard to understand why no one has all the great sounds in one machine
The Vermona machine sounds fucking amazing
I'm feeling dat shit too - never seen one before - they look and sound sweet!
***** TANZBAR sounds great too imo
***** agree, but for 200$ more than a TR8 you have a pure analog drum machin Monster
I'm a proud owner and let me tell you.. it is. Many days i'm convinced it's better than 909
Best demonstration ive seen of almost all of these machines!
Any time I'm looking to add to my studio, I swear to god, the only things I end up liking are ALWAYS over a grand. The Machinedrum and MFB were amazing
Don't count that Nord out.
That tanzbar is sick. Loved the sounds.
The Vermona has impressive low end. My favourite of them all.
good little film here I enjoyed it...for drum machines
The DRM1 sounds absolutely massive
Whew, that Elektron Machine Drum is a MONSTER!
Tanzbar got the strong arm on everyone though.
king shaman If the Rytm was in there, the Tanzbar would have been toast.
Really great video, thanks for presentation of the various drum machines.
Brilliant video, superb programming. Thanks guys.
seriously!

you will find the nord drum 2 can do what you're looking for and infinitely more.
Old comment, but check out moog DFAM.

I bought Elektron Digitakt and put in it samples of all classic drum machines. Tadaaa
I have played „Drums“ in the sink of my kitchen, just record it for fun an have some „fresh“ Sounds. Load this sounds in NI Mashine and have fun of that. I love the old drummcomputer. Thank you for the update. L G M 🎧🎼👍
MFB-Tanzbar and Elektron Machine Drum UW are the most unique IMO.
ty for taking the time to make this!
Great Show of different drum machines
Elektron 😱😍👌🏽
Nice grooves on every machine.
very nice demo i really love how that mfb Tanzbar Sounds
me too but wish it had drum pads that is only down side
Sold TR8 for a mfb
too bad for it's shitty interface though
that's by far one of the best demos of the tanzbar i've seen
Thank you for these demos ! Vermona sounds like a monster !
One of the best demos ever!! good job!
people bash the TR8 a lot but that thing sounded very analog and interesting for a digital machine. I am impressed.
your werkspace is so clean...BEAUTIFUL!
THANKS, best drum vid out there...sounds not chatter and some great beats
Very cool demo. Thanks man. My favs were MFB Tanzbar, Vermona DRM1 MKIII & Elektron Machinedrum. I wish I could afford one
Best demo. The Vermona looks like the most fun to play. The TR-8 looks like the most fun to buy (& play).
Thanks for a great demo... and cool watch during the Tanzbär part! ;-)
Tr-8 drop is awesome props for the guy skills ...... MFB Tanzbar damn what a sound
To my ears the tr8 and Tanzbar sound best of the bunch.
Nice programming on all the machines.
mine is: Roland TR-8, great video demo!!!
how didn't anyone notice the killer patterns of the TR 8, I mean that raw energy is unmatched. damn!
Incredibly well done video, with drum patterns that are actually interesting. Thanks.
The Tanzbar's clap is a winner! Great comparison, nice beats 🤘
The great thing is that you can change the sound/lenght of the claps with the select button, it gives some crazy delay-like effects.
Thats the nicest ive heard the Volca sound yet, might get one
Always liked this video, how about a new installment? 8 - D
Great collection. My favourite drum machine has to be the Alesis SR16. In an age where a lot of things are quickly outdated it has been on sale for over 20 years. I find that amazing.
Some of those were phat, Thx for the demo
absolutely incredibly useful demo of these drum units!! helps me so much!! *turns subtitles on* :)
Very Good Demonstration! THX!!!
Excellent ! Thanks !
absolutely loving how high quality the beats are! in most demos people just make shitty loops and don't even bother (or maybe don't possess the skill) thanks for putting in the extra effort :)
Great sound!
you make the vermona sound very nice here, tasteful sounds!
the more i hear the tanzbar the more i want!
Really good video at all.. interesting informations, nice effects and i really enjoyed your explanations and especially the sound you made with this ! awesome !
thanks a ton for this! we're shopping analog drum machines right now and this is incredibly helpful. there are even a couple here we weren't aware of.
Volca sounds good and gritty.
thanks for showing us that kind of quick demo!
very well done!
That's a proper nice watch you've got on
Oh great video by the way! I forgot to mention that.... Now a TR-8 or a Tanzbar... Hmmmm
The bests are : Roland TR8, Vermona DRM1, Elektron Machinedrum SPS-1 UW and MFB Tanzbär
I got the nord,,,,, love it so far
yep.. love the nord (but not for kicks or hats), but for everything else it has so much detail in the mids. the modelling is amazing.
Nice demo man
TipTop Audio was great in my opinion
fuck yeah it was
Listening to " beat thang " after Tip Top and Machinedrum : D
That is a perfect perfect comparison
Thank you
Good Job :)!
Tanzbar is the one to buy! :)
Gawd I love drum machines. I don't even care about sequencers. Just electronics drums, period. Thanks OP! (ps, MFB holy f'n hell!)
Elektron Machinedrum and MFB Tanzbär are the best of the bunch.
Goddammit... I was just getting into that TR-8 when you switched. 😁
Great video! I would now add the Korg Volca Drum to this list. A fine instrument with plenty of sound sculpting methods that can make things from straightforward drums to weird clicks and glitches and even melodic parts.
Amazing⚡️
Dude. really nice patterns!
This is one of the best video!
Protips: turn on subtitles (they have tons of commentary) and use quality headphones.
i have a vermona mk2 really nice
The machinedrum def has best sequencer. That is the only reason I would want one. The seq and trigger outs
Thanks ! Unfortunatelly the tr-8 pattern dont reflect so well its sonic range, what would be great is to try to create almost same pattern with all these toys ! Thank you for the experience although !
Please add Jomox 999 and Analog Rytm you have almost covered all of the ones I'm considering!
Than ks
Tip top Audio is awesome...oO
Machinedrum.... I love it.
this is good, thanks. you guys should include drumbrute for the next one!
The huge Elektron AR is missing :D The Vermona and the Tanzbar sounds good too !
MFB is building great machines, I also have the Dominion 1 besides the Tanzbär, and it´s sounding great. Only thing is the many functions are mostly accessible via Shift buttons, not so intuitive or quick like a Sub37 for example... but the sound makes it worth it. The tanbear is pretty slammin
13:12 what is this sound????
4:33 oh yeeeeah.. this is my groove
Aira ABC or ACB can throw out of the window.
awesome,i have roland tr-8 but tanzman and machinedrum are the best
thanks for this!
winner is ........ Tanzbar !!!
must admit...that looks like endless fun.
i got rid of the tr8 after 2 months because it couldn't compete with the volca (just on enjoyment of use alone =)
but...the vermona won this 'round' for me.
*edit: or maybe the 'elektron' ! lol call it a tie.
I lived the same ... ended with Volca :D
AWESOME
love MFB Tanzbar...... Sounds great!!!!
Nice comparison video!!! I was hoping there will be even the Metasonix D1000 included, it's a beast. The TR8 doesn't sound bad either though. I would take the Vermona, would be matching pair with my Perfourmer mk2
tip top audio module sounds very rich
Tanzbar sounds great !
Geoffrey DUMON
machine drum is sick
I'd take all of them!
BKE and Electron favorites. (MFB so good)
Got a Volca Sample! Just do it! Don't argue... Do it!
Really useful as a "remplacement" for the TR8 imo. One should spend money on a full quality beat machine or save some dollars and get a volca wher ehe will have a lot more fun and flexibility with samples.
oh how id kill for a machine drum
Dope!
