It depends what you want to do, there's many ways to do all of this that work. If you're using Vortex install that first, then install Script Hook and LML with Vortex. That would be my recommendation for best option. If you want to do as the mod author instructions say then you don't need Vortex. If a mod is enabled and it's not working that means you installed it incorrectly. If you're 100% sure and have double checked that you installed correctly and still have the problem you can try a few things: Try the install process again but do not right click and unpack as is before installing, do everything else the same. Unpack script hook download file before dropping it into Vortex. Sometimes this works. (Be sure to unpack as is for this) If nothing works try installing it the way the readme.txt says to install, if that doesn't work then either you didn't follow read me instructions or your download is corrupted. Very unlikely download is corrupted, rare but possible.
Usually that means the mod was not installed correctly, or the mod is for a different game version. Make sure to only have the mod you are testing and its dependencies when you are testing. Other mods can sometimes conflict. Make sure to try all methods of installing the mod, usually if one method works the others will if you do everything correctly. Make sure to read the installation instructions on the mod page.
I might've screwed up by trying to figure this out myself but nothing i'm doing is working even when I follow this tutorial which should work because my friend used this same tutorial.
It is likely you installed incorrectly, or have conflicting files. Start with no mods installed except for the dependencies (script hook). There is two ways of installing rampage, if the way in the video does not work you can instead try download the rampage NUI file from Nexus and press the Mod Manager Download button with Vortex already installed. Let Vortex install it the normal way no need to do anything except install, enable, and deploy. If that does not work then try and install the mod the way the readme.txt says to. If that does not work make sure your game folder is not in a sub folder of the Program (x86) folder. Also there could be conflicting files in your game folder if you have files left over from mods so if you are not sure you might need to do a fresh install of the game. If none of that works delete mod files and re-download, It is possible download was corrupted however very unlikely.
New to modding and have been following your steps, but I can't get rampage to work? I don't have a whole lot of other mods installed and haven't gotten far enough to test if they work either, but the only thing I can confirm to work is a reshader that I manually installed.
When modding a game for the first it is best to install and test 1 mod at a time that way there are no conflicts or other unforeseen issues. You can do multiple at a time if you want but sometimes that can cause problems and you can wast many hours trying to trouble shoot something that could have been avoided. To troubleshoot rampage I would recommend removing every mod except the dependencies of Rampage (Script Hook). Your reshade shouldn't be messing with it but it's always something that needs to be tested if the problem persists with no other mods installed. After you have ruled out conflicts from other mods as the issue The next thing to check is that you installed the mod correctly. This includes making sure that you downloaded the correct version and installed it as the directions state. There are multiple different ways to install rampage. The easiest way is to already have Vortex installed and have RDR2 be managed by Vortex. Then when you download rampage make sure you download the "Rampage NUI" file and click the mod manager download button. This should open Vortex and it should begin downloading. after the download is complete all you need to do is install, deploy then launch the game and test. The other way to install Rampage with Vortex is what I show in the video and the file "Rampage" is the one that should be used for this install method. If none of those work then try to manually install the mod the way the read me text file directions say to. If that doesn't work then delete all rampage files and download again and install. Sometimes your download can become corrupted, however it is very rare. If it still doesn't work after that then you're just installing it wrong and need to follow the directions more closely. Or if you haven't moved your game folder out of the Program Files (x86) folder that can also be an issue. It works exactly the same, all you need to do is locate your game folder and after that everything else is the same. I know nothing about the Rockstar game launcher but my guess is that it would download your game files into a sub folder of the launcher.
So let’s say I wanna download a Glock mod I click open the file and it says (LML) (Deagle ASI) do I just drag drop into the directory or do I need to put the LML folder inside the LML folder because I already have one???
Good question! So easiest answer would be to read the instructions on the mod page, but there's other ways to figure it out. So if the mod files have the proper sub folder structure in the LML folder that is being added then you can add it through Vortex. This would mean (RDR2 Game Folder)\lml\downloader\(Mod name) fpr the folder format. However if this folder structure does not exist in the mod files then it is likely you need to add them with LML to be added correctly. Each mod is different so it's always best to read what the author says.

@@jaydentate7388 Yeah I think you have to link your Steam account with your Rockstar account. Then register the Steam purchase with your Rockstar account. Basically when the game launches it first checks with Steam then with Rockstar to make sure the game is listed as purchased on your account. If I remember correctly Rockstar did all this automatically when I made my Rockstar account.
I wouldn't be able to help even if I saw. Every single mod setup is unique and the only way to know for sure is to try it. Start with testing 1 mod at a time and make sure they all work before adding them all together. Then add 1 at a time until either they all work or you find out which one breaks the other one. Then you have to decide what mods you want to keep. Most mod pages will tell you what type of mods are compatible/incomparable.
@@shirdiy1665 So if it works that way then using Vortex shouldn't make a difference. My bad bro just saw this. That type of error looks like Steam didn't launch when your game launched for some reason. Try having Steam running in the background when you launch the game. If that doesn't work, then I'm not sure how to help. My best guess would be try looking on the Steam help forums or reddit to see if anyone else has the same problem and how they fixed it.
@@ModApocalypse like it kept saying I had to log in on rockstar and then says I don’t have it.because it’s on steam it’s like I have to own it on rockstar
That would most definitely be a Rockstar game Launcher issue.
@@ModApocalypse i have the same issue, have you found any fix? if i try to start it from steam it doesnt load in the rampage trainer
Does it matter if its the steam version or Rockstar launcher version?
Short answer No, just find wherever you’re game folder is, long answer you have to launch the game through the launcher either way I believe
@@BoringMan Ahh fair enough, cheers
@@BoringMan Yeah you are 100% correct!
Do you need the script extender?
Yes bro. Nothing will even work if you don't lol
My games is crashing, I installed some mods manually and some with vortex, if I can I would like to show you my files in discord
@@ModApocalypse I reinstalled and installed manually without vortex, it worked like that
@@shirdiy1665 So if it works that way then using Vortex shouldn't make a difference. It is likely Vortex was not installing the mod files correctly, and also remember Vortex can only add files to RDR2 that need to be added in the main game folder. Any mod that says it needs LML should not be installed with Vortex because it can not do it correctly. Even when using Vortex I always check the game folder after installing a mod to make sure it was installed correctly, Sometimes it doesn't add things the way you think it did.
in votex i dont have the profiles page💀
If you go into settings there’s something about turning on profiles
In vortext
How do i add rdr2 to vortex
17:02 - How To Manage RDR2 With Vortex. You need to be connected to the internet to do this for the first time because vortex downloads the scripts required to mod the game.
Bro you spoke WAY to much lol
