Last MOT in 2021 it had advisory for corroded front arches so definitely had new wings. Being an Edition 30 must add a bit of value. Only 2300 Edition 30's produced apparently.

Let us know what happens. It seems in good condition for its age. You need to know its value before you do anything as cost to pass MOT could be expensive. You need to put it on your ramp before doing anything to check it out properly before you consider the repairs necessary to pass an MOT. The tyres may need changing then there is the possible spring issue and rust. Just thoughts .

Really love a ‘car down on its luck and getting a reprieve’ videos. It’s got the basis of a really nice motor. Yes it’s a bit leggy but the history is there. It’ll need a full service, discs, pads and tyres plus a spring or two. Maybe a wheel refurb and a Kev makeover. Depends what you’ve given for it really, it’ll make UA-cam money if not big sale money, but it will sell to someone. Or try a classic car auction as an alternative🤷♂️ I’ll watch whatever.

Its one for your own personal collection. Stick it away for 10 years which will bring the average mileage down below 7k per year, and it will be worth a fortune. Because in 10 years, you will not find an original, unmodified Edition 30 anywhere. You cant retail that and provide warranty cover for 6 months..........unless there is a really healthy margin in it.
To be fair, you do clean them well. Maybe get it cleaned, MOT then would be a good car for a petrol head?

Sadly its not worth much really as any VW person wants a new car with ultra low mileage on it. I just bought a 1 owner 65k VW GOLF GTI TSI DSG Fully loaded from Ipswich vw (I am a dealer) and i am struggling to get £5k for it and its like new VW golfs and polo gti are the hardest cars to sell,because you instantly get the VW POLICE on you has cam belt been done has dsg been done has it has extra oil changes you know the score......
The "VW Police" 🤪🤪🤪Totally get that........The Golf you bought sounds awesome.....and you cant get £5k for that?? Ill buy it 👍👍👍👍👍👍🤪🤪🤪
