@@lcmiracle NMM is a technique, just like any other. It is neither superior or inferior. There is a time and place for it based entirely on the context of the rest of the piece, the artist, and the theme.
I've started doing similar where i wanted to try collecting custodes, rather than getting an army box and being overwhelmed, i ordered a single mini from ebay, built and painted to see if I liked it. Slowly working on a trio of Allarus Termies bought from another ebay seller too
Excellent painting, Casey!! I'm not a fan of the Stormcast blue/gold look, but this is a very nice rendition. Your work on shading the metals is something I really need to work on. Thanks!
i'm just waiting on wayland games for the price to drop to get another one for more skaven and using the the stormcast's armour and weapons as scavenged weapons for my skaven
I like the green-ish tint on everything, how the gold starts looking like antique brass, and how the blue is closer to a cyan shade. Makes everything look a bit like ceremonial weapons and regalia. :) There are plenty of two-player boxes where I would only want one of the factions inside, especially with Kill Team and Warcry. While I could wait for the various factions to get their own separate release, it does seem safer to use eBay, as GW has become a bit trigger-happy to make products disappear from the store.
It seems like most boxes that come out get split up pretty quickly, there's almost never a reason to buy a box new anymore. Pretty awesome when you are looking to pick up specific models or factions for sure.

Always love the touch of oil washes to add hours worth of progress in just minutes of effort. Quick question, what are the leaves you are using? I’ve been looking for a product like that for a while.
The oils always do so much heavy lifting! and super fun to use :) The leaves are from Amazon. I also put them in my affiliate link list, they should be at the top if you want to check them out. Thanks! For these guys, I didn't varnish at all. The metallic paint is pretty glossy so the panel liner works really well over the top. If you wanted to lock in the oils and give everything a more even finish then a matt varnish before the metallic touchups would look good and help those touchups really stand out even more once they went down. I've done that before and it works pretty well.
Hmm I like the paint job, not super sold on the verdigris, maybe a dark green or a purple would have worked better in my opinion, just to give the gold something to work with, the blue green seems to just melt into the color scheme sort of blurring the lines, or possibly making it look a little more sloppy Sorry Casey I don't mean to be negative, love the content, paint jobs and such
No worries man, it's ok to like different things. Dark green or purple would definitely be a cool option and an easy change with the same formula. Just a purple or green oil wash and you're there!

Craft stores usually sell very small tubes of oil paint in almost any color and small bottles of mineral spirits as well, so it can be quite easy to test out and only spend around $10. Just gotta psyche yourself up for a good time and go for it :)
Hey Casey, now that you are selling models on eBay, what would be your thoughts if the buyer decided to repaint them? (I don't know why you would, they look great. I'm just curious.)
Also lots of scalpers on ebay price compare if you are buying puece by piece because there are scumbags that absolutely will rip you off. Rule of thumb if the seller is based in Asia or Russia pass on them even if they ha e 100% positive feedback
That's a good rule of thumb, I try and save sellers that I've purchased from before, or more specifically, ones that have brick and mortar stores that I can support via the web.
As you know, I'm not a Warhammer fan. I got some really good painting tips from this video, as usual, and that's what matters most to me. They look great is what matters just as much, too.

You should try Custodes, this colour scheme would look amazing on them since Stormcast look closer to Custodes than space marines

I bought Skaventide because my two factions in AOS are Skaven and Stormcast, altough I lean more towards the dragons side of SCE.

Thanks! For these guys, I didn't varnish at all. The metallic paint is pretty glossy so the panel liner works really well over the top. If you wanted to lock in the oils and give everything a more even finish then a matt varnish before the metallic touchups would look good and help those touchups really stand out even more once they went down. I've done that before and it works pretty well.

I was wondering how you kept the flocking that you use on these models from falling off. I have a terrible time keeping it from “shedding”
