    I want to say thank you for the work you do. I found your channel researching for my first soundbar purchase, your Sonos Arc review I believe. Your detailed evaluations, discussion of features, comparisons to similar products, and actual test clips really set you apart and above some other popular reviewers. Your humor is the icing on the cake. I was considering much pricier options like the Sonos Arc plus sub, Samsung Q990B and Klipsch Cinema 1200, but ultimately I decided to gamble on the value the Cinema 600 seemed to present, especially at Prime Day pricing of $399. Thus far I am very impressed. Thank you again. I look forward to your future content.

      Both of you are fans of Sonos and I got the Arc, Sub and 2 SL Ones based on your reviews. I’m curious if you would do a comparison between the Sony HT A9 system with the upgraded Sub against the Sonos system? Several reviews are pretty hot on the HT A9 right now.

    Hi Daniel, been watching your videos for a while and thought I’d finally comment. Thank you for putting out such humorously informative reviews. Something about your delivery is comedic gold but you also seem far more honest and believable than some of the other more pretentious sound bar reviews (I won’t name names but you can probably guess who I’m talking about…). Keep up the brilliant content and I hope you get a Sony HT-A7000 in for review at some point as it’s gotten some great written reviews/seems to be the fit for gamers with its hdmi 2.1 functions. Stay safe and I look forward to seeing more of your excellent work.

      @@neverenoughtech Hi Daniel I have been following your reviews for a very long time and consider them one of the best. Yesterday finally I received my JBL 9.1 sound bar wich I bought from Amazon for a very good price since it was a open box item. I am just waiting for the arrival of my new center cabinet to install everything at once’s. The size of the room I am going to install this sound bar is 15ft wide, the ceiling has 9ft height and it’s 21ft long and has a rectangular shape with no openings. Now comes the one million dollar question. Do you think its should be a good idea to sell my JBL sound bar to buy the Sonos arc with the gen 3 subwoofer and a pair of SL ones rear speakers in order to try to achieve what most sound bars experts consider the best overall sound bar system of the market? The Sonos its going to cost me twice the money compared to what I already paid for my JBL., do you think the difference in overall sound quality between this two sound bars justified the investment? For personal preferrence I am much more interested in the quality of the sound of the music rather than their atmos special movies effects. Thanks in advance for your honest answer to this question.

    I had Klipsch Cinema 800 - amazing bass and sound (I love techno/trance/hip hop). The whole floor vibrates. I returned it due to constant software issues and Bluetooth not working. I got Samsung samsung hw-q990b. Nice sound and more immersive/surround but compared to Klipsch - no bass at all and doesn't have that punch/oomph which really gets me. I returned Samsung Q990B as well and now I have no speakers :)
    I prefer Klipsch Cinema 800 over Samsung and will go back to Klipsch when I'm sure they fixed their software and Bluetooth issues.
    Does anyone if other speakers would be similar to Klipsch in terms of sound? I'm not confident that Sonos or Boss can reproduce the sound Klipsch cinema has either. JBL seems like they would have comparable bass, but I'm not sure if it can reproduce vocals and other sound just as well. I'm not sure if Sony or Sennheiser would be good options?

      I had the Q990B as it was cheaper than the Cinema 800 at the time and sounded amazing. After many listening tests in stores it's the only Samsung model that has a subwoofer I'd consider adequate.
      Four months later the constant sub and surround dropout issues with the Q990B became too much to bear. I returned it and got the Cinema 800 which is now slightly cheaper so got a small refund as well. It's on the latest firmware (MCU 119, DSP 5.6 , WiFi 1.0.219) and it's very stable - I've been running it for hours on end for several weeks now with no drop-outs, HDMI issues or problems with Cast, Airplay or Spotify support. Bluetooth range is bad when using WiFi but I have Ethernet available and connecting that fixes it. The remote can also be a bit laggy at times but it's not that bad an issue.
      The Samsung had a slightly more immersive surround, but the Cinema 800 still very good and in fact has clearer surrounds in my opinion. It's certainly close enough and the bass is absolutely thunderous.

  • @rafars2246
    @rafars2246 Рік тому

    I experienced those many extra channels from Samsung vs the 5.1.4. While definitely more immersive, I thought it wasn't a huge deal vs 5.1.4, since 5.1.4 already offers amazing immersion. The thing that bothers me about this soundbar is not the bugs. On sale now for 1k I wish it had dtsx support. I don't care much about dts sound, but dtsx was pretty cool on the q990b.

    I've been scouring soundbar reviews since the beginning of the lockdown. Alas, I wound up realizing I wanted a music focused AVR system with HDMI switching and auto mic-based calibration, so I bit the bullet and bought audio separates. I somehow kept the cost below a top of the line soundbar system by reusing my subwoofer and sourcing used center and surround speakers. I'd tell most people to do the same if space and complexity wasn't an issue.

    Hey Daniel I decided to go back-and-forth between Soundchecks on this review for the Klipsch 1200 and the soundcheck of the Q950A Samsung and I am keep wondering if I’m hearing a warm deep rich type sound Tones really not the bass) with the Klipsch, where on the Samsung I get a bit higher tingly words and sounds flying all around the room - seems more sub-mursive. Can you let me know if you found this?
    Because when I heard it in your videos on the Madmax clips, (going back and forth over and over between the Sammy and Klipsch) there was a very metallic deep steel type thuds surrounding you with the Klipsch versus tinny twinkly type sound all around your ears on the Samsung?
    This may not make sense…..I swear it’s just a few warm tones which are just barely covering you in Atmos effect that surround you, (Klipsch) vs sparkles tingle type Atmos sprinkling all around you in the other. (Samsung)
    Classic vs new age feel?
    Your feedback sounds would be invaluable to me. Thx.

      So … I have three floors saturated with audio. The first and second I have Sonos everywhere. Not because I think they sound the best but because of the ecosystem and elegance. It’s a new house but in the basement where I have a projector set up I’m rolling with the Klipsch 1200 - I preferred the sound I’ve r the Q950A and it supports dual subs. I’ll convert it to something proper over time. My point is that it’s a big deal for me to permanently set up something other than Sonos. That being said the 1200 is an unfinished bar from a features and bug ridding perspective. I use it for a very narrow purpose of cinema in the basement. The Q950A is much more technologically advanced and complete. My recording room was different when recording the A and 1200. I’m gonna be more consistent from now on. The 1200 was recorded is a much bigger space allowing the sound to breath. The A in a room that might be more conducive for Atmos. I’m recording in the new place a room that is fairly large and regular with 4 regular walls so that should assist in comparisons moving forward. Hope this helps

I frequently have the Klipsch at 70 or so for movies so yes I think it’s fair that a 30 on Klipsch is not the same as Samsung … but I do think ilKliosch can get plenty loud in the 80+ range. I don’t see that being a volume in a normal kind of space that would not be sufficient … consider it as you get more incrikents of sound volume on Klipsch which I find to be a benefit

      Funny you ask. I had a little section at the end addressing this but I cut it. Sonos is the most elegant and reliable solution - and I think sounds really refined. I only have Sonos in my family spaces. If you are talking big quality cinematic sound as the #1 priority - probably don’t go Sonos - even though it’s more than good enough for that purpose.

    Hi Daniel!
    Can I do this? This is what I plan to do next week once I buy my new 85" LG or Samsung Television.
    Can I connect 2 corded subs and 2 cordless subs for a Quadrophonic woofer settings?!? Is it possible
    to connect 4 pieces of Surround 3 Speakers?!? 2 at my sides and 2 at my rear.................
    Surround 3 Speakers

    I am expecting an answer from you!

    • @neverenoughtech
      @neverenoughtech  2 роки тому

      As far as I am aware you can keep adding subs as long as there is a sub out port - you can get wireless subs but would still need to plug the wireless module in the sub out. The only way to get 4 subs would be to buy at least one other sub with a sub out. One sub would plug into the 1200’s offered sub and then one would be plugged into the bar sub out and another plugged into the sub that’s the plugged in the bar. There is no option for pairing additional surrounds

      Maybe an update of the software or firmware in the future for additional side speakers of the Surround 3 do you think?
      Connecting the 4 subwoofers got me confused. So you mean One of the wireless woofers should have a sub out? One of the corded woofer will be connected to the woofer out of the sound bar, then the other corded woofer to the sub out of another woofer and from that woofer the cable goes to the sub out of the woofer connected to the sound bar. DID I UNDERSTOOD IT RIGHT?

      If you took the Samsung back due to flaws, I would consider the Arc. Sonos is my home audio system - primarily because all aspects of it are well refined sound->experience and leads to the fewest headaches. If you are looking to use a soundbar for HDMI inputs the Arc is not the bar for you. All the other soundbars are gonna give you some kind of a headache due to bugs and usability flaws but I would consider the Bose 900 if looking for a decent bar similar in price. Though can’t promise you won’t get any fewer headaches than the Q950T … find my Bose 700 trouble shooting video (the number of views is not a good look for Bose) - sounds nice though

    FYI your using the word passthrough kinda wrong. When people refer to passthrough with eARC/soundbars that means you have the TV set to pass the audio through it to the soundbar via eARC. So you would have ATV4K > TV > soundbar via eARC, I think you are using it to mean ATV4K > soundbar > TV.

    • @neverenoughtech
      @neverenoughtech  2 роки тому

      Uhhh … I think I’m using it right. Passthrough means you can get the audio source straight to the bar (avoiding the TVs funny business) and the video gets passed through via ARC/eARC so you can watch the video. Saying something like 8K passthrough makes little sense if 8k video is passed to the bar and not the other way around

    • @andykillsu
      @andykillsu 2 роки тому

      @@neverenoughtech what your saying makes sense in terms of the soundbar itself, but that’s not what people think when you say ‘passthrough’. If you look in a bunch of TVs sound settings that have eARC, you will see settings called enable ‘Passthrough’ and that’s so you can bitstream lossless codecs to the bar via eARC. Your just referring to the fact the bar has like an HDMI hub/switcher like you find AVRs.

    • @neverenoughtech
      @neverenoughtech  2 роки тому

      Fair enough. I can adopt HDMI inputs as clearer language. The inputs leverage ARCs ability to pass -through video to the TV.
