I have this soundbar and I completely agree that it definitely comes alive when listening to Atmos content. I hope they will release an update to optimize other formats.
Not in the market for a soundbar but watched anyway knowing I’d be entertained. Thanks for not disappointing like the soundbar did which I don’t care about and that you know already so bye.
Thanks for the review. It was ... mostly fair... I think. I have had the Core 200 for 4 months now and really like it, I knew I was not buying a 990D, I was only spending $450. So the folks starting to compare the Core 200 to soundbars that cost 2 or 3 times as much are not being real. I agree that ATMOS brings out the best here. I also agree it can do a nice job with some music. Did not buy the matching Sub, but hooked up a R-100SW-RCS I had gathering dust. Helps a lot. May get the Sub 200 when it's out. The Surr 100 are, well, not great, but the instructions that come with the bar pictured the Surr 200 so it must be coming soon. Again, FOR THE PRICE, not bad at all,and definately better that the last Klipsch offerings. Lastly, you did not mention Onkyo much - do you think this marriage has possibilities?
Have all these soundbars it obviously has some limitations relative to the D. But there are plenty of folks that are not fans of Samsung sound. I suspect a significant (not majority) would prefer the Klipsch profile - I think it speaks more to a successful reset - the true flagship contender is not out yet
can the soundbar be used on it's own or paired with a sub only? If so is it any good? I'm strongly waiting for the Sonos Arc replacement (I don't won't surround speakers)
Thank you so much for being the first REAL reviewer of the Flexus system, I’ve been waiting for this! And I like how you tested other Sub options. Since you’re familiar with both, would you be happier with the Polk Magnifi Max or this Flexus system? I want to upgrade to a system that I can enjoy for a few years.
I like the “hmm” at 7:39 I guess, for the Surround 200’s My absolute fav aspect to this soundbar is the option for being able to use a hardwired sub! I can upgrade the one from my main set up and use it for the soundbar 👌🏼
I know this system isn’t on the same level as the cinema 1200, but man I so badly wanted to like to Kilpsch Cinema 1200 and so badly want Klipsch to come out with something that checks the boxes for me... For me personally it’s a non starter if it lacks DTS. How do you still lack DTS when you’re a brand so close to the home theatre market?? Anyways great review!
Purely in terms of sound, it looks like a step backward from the Cinema 1200, which sounds great (when it works, of course...), regardless of input format, surrounds are the best from all I have tested (Sammy Q950A and Q990C, Heos Bar with Home 100 and even Home 350 surrounds, HK Bar + Surrounds). I hope there will be a Flexus 300 bar and Sub/Surr 200 to make new series comparable to Cinema 1200 set that I bought for 1/3 initial price. Until then, I'm sticking with the Cinema 1200 as long as it works ;D
The 1200 got significantly less annoying after the second big update but I never found it particularly impressive on the spatial front and I’ve gotten a disproportionate number of comments that it’s broken down on customers. I think the 300 will eclipse the 1200 (assuming all the updated peripherals )

@@neverenoughtech it's also the reason why I don't buy an LG tv. Most lg TVs don't do dts pass through via arc or earc and a good few of my blu rays and 4K blu rays have dts audio only. What I’m saying is that given the many comments about not liking Samsung sound profile that I think a sizable chunk (not majority) of soundbar buyers would prefer the Klipsch sound … especially considering the sound it produces kind of out performs its size. I also mentioned the same about the bar 9. I think all three bars would appeal to a significant % of the customer base maybe it’s 25% Klipsch, 35% Sony , 40% Samsung if hearing blind sound test. I don’t think 95% (completely lopsided) would prefer D sound over the Core 200 - my prediction
Uhhhh, I’d say it’s peaking in the door. The “300 revision” up along with upgraded surrounds and sub - would put it square in the conversation and a contender as a sub dragon soundbar leader. But I think there is a sizable chunk out there that (while it’s not as bombastic as the Q900 series) would prefer the sound of the Core 200

I gotta ask. Why do you include certain clips that were made in AI? It really sucks seeing people use crap like that and not realize that AI can take over our way of life. If we don't restrict it. It can help us! But we don't want it to take over our jobs and whatnot. I'm sorry for ranting. You have good content as usual. But please don't use AI videos or AI art.
I appreciate the feedback - thought, I’m not entirely sure why you’re against it, aside from the concern that it “could take over our way of life.” However, consider the advancements like electricity, running water, automobiles, and the internet-all of which you likely use. These innovations significantly altered lifestyles and displaced some jobs, yet they ultimately fueled growth and created new opportunities. While manual clothes washers are rare today, the overall number of jobs has increased. I understand that someone might find it unappealing if content creation were reduced to the mere push of a button, with videos appearing without any thought or effort - coming across as completely generic. But that’s not what’s happening here-I’ve invested maaaany hours into creating this video along with buying the equipment. You might not resonate with the aesthetic style, and that’s fair. But that is not your stated gripe For me, this is about making the visions in my head more tangible. I also recognize that this technology is completely inevitable, and I want to be prepared for its impact by understanding the tools. That’s why I’m experimenting with it in my content creation.
