My wife and I love your videos…we’ve been waiting for this one for weeks! Thanks for sharing your racing season and we look forward to more running and cycling content!
Great effort to all of you, and another fulfilling video! Thanks for the shout out. You've put so much time and care into crafting these entertaining, fun and informative videos, and I hope more folks lend support. Perhaps most of all, you don't take yourself too seriously. I'm stepping up to a longer distance race this weekend and this video will provide me a little extra fuel. Cheers, and looking fwd to your adventures next year!
Hey Brendan! Just jumping in to say hi. I'm tossing around the idea of running a "casual" 50ish miles near Indian Summer/Devil's Backbone/Bobcat Ridge. Want to join? Simon, you're welcome to join too. Not sure when and may be snow dependent.
@@SeeChadRun I assume that's somewhere in CO? I'd love to but we're back in San Diego at least until next summer sadly (where snow is not a problem...)
Congrats to you and Nora. It was great meeting you both and as mentioned in the comments from others, my husband and I really enjoy watching your videos, sense of humor and learnings from your adventures. Keep it up and looking forward to your next videos 🙌
@@runningwithsimon we finished but it came with all kinds of challenges and learnings. Looking forward to next year's for a do over so we may see you and Nora there again :)
Excellent Excellent video Simon 😃👍🏃♂️. Huge Congratulations on your finish…. !!! The fact that you showed so much of the course ( day / night ), was great ! Javelina Jundred 100 is my desire to do some day in the future. Still have my first 50k to do yet though…. Been plagued with ailments and surgeries 🙄🙄😖 that throw me off , and I have to heal before I can train again…. Frustrating ! But I’m determined ! Anyway, excited for you and your friends for completing the entire race……! And thank you for another great video 🙂👍
Thanks - I always try to show the course a lot because I know it can be really helpful when preparing for a race (particularly for mountain or technical ones like Ouray - then you know what to expect). Sorry to hear about issues - but love the attitude! Like you say, training for an ultra isn't a sprint - it takes dedication, perseverance and focus. It's never a straightforward process, but in the end, it's all worth it! Good luck :)
Congratulations on an incredible race, to all of you!! This race looks like such a blast, it's definitely on my bucket list! I'm so glad you're channel is growing. There's a huge pool of people who are just waiting to discover and love your videos for the awesome content and editing. I've dropped you name into a couple comment sections, to help get your name out. You've had an amazing year, and I can't wait to see what next year brings! Hopefully you'll put out a few informational videos on what you do to recover/stay/ increase fitness in your off season?
Thanks for spreading the word/love! Yeah, more how to coming for sure, especially with the down time from racing until Jan. But I've been and will continue to be unreasonably busy with work for a little bit. Still, that's high on my to do list! May not all have the nice "polish" on those, but the info will be well researched!
It's my last one to complete the Vacation Race 3x 100 milers! And I love Zion, so really want Bryce. It'll depend on which I run between Sedona 125 vs. Cocodona 250.
I will! Prepare for the heat (I have a video about that). Not sure what your time goals are, but the course is relatively flat so it's easy to go a little too fast. Especially that the first half of the loop isn't exactly flat (seems like it but it's not). Finally lap too is probably not the time to push too hard given it's typically middle of the day and can get real hot. Use ice, use water, pace yourself.
@@runningwithsimon thanks for the reply! if you recall, I met you at Cocodona at Crown King aid. I live in Scottsdale so am used to the heat and have run on the course for training. I'm shooting for sub 18
Glad I could add another shrimp to the list, PIRATE SHRIMP. 😂🎉
And that's about it
Great video! I appreciate the effort. I'm running my 1st 100-mile JJ this October and this video helped put the challenge in perspective.
If all goes well at Diagonal des Fous, I'll be a JJ too :) Good luck!
All great, intro was brilliant! Haha
Thanks!!! And honestly, it felt soooooo good to shave for this scene! Oh boy...

Thanks! More running for sure next year - we'll see about cycling haha
Such a great way to end this year of racing!
Following your journey was indeed interesting, inspiring, funny, and a whole lot of fun. Thank you Simon and congratulations to Nora!
Thanks from both of us! And glad you enjoyed following :)
Really putting Nora to work for this intro.
I think she was just glad that I finally shaved!

That intro was awesome love the editing crushed it

Way to get it done - John from Yuma🎉
Thanks :)
