Excellent review. I've been studying for months to make sure I can buy my first one and not be disappointed so this was an excellent video. Especially enjoyed the tip on determining my yard using Google!
Thank you for this review and for the how-to set up! My Navimo arrives tomorrow. I have already fashioned a little garage for it beneath my back deck, though there is an incline I paved with concrete stepping stones for it to reach the charger. I hope it won't have problems going up that incline or any incline for that matter, as my yard is sloped. I cannot wait to get it all set up and going!
Don’t have one (yet) but I have seen videos of them getting stuck in sandy grass or lawns with deep holes. Depends how swampy or deep your lawn is really! Otherwise you’re looking at the 4WD options which are very expensive. Mammotion have brought out a little brother to the Luba 2 called the Yuka. Same 2 wheel and coaster drive like this Navimow but I think it handles slopes better, so in theory a better chance of not getting stuck maybe?!
Been trying to decide about this or wait for the Ecovac Goat. Did you guys try the Navimow where there's heavy tree coverage? I'm in Florida as-well and have a few Large Oaks in the front an back yards. Thanks for the video
I see you commented here a few months ago and am curious if you found an answer? I'm in Florida too with a yard with a bunch of oak trees and wondering how this works in that environment.
Torn between both as well! Saw one video of the Goat where trees and bushes were sticking out maybe 12 inches above the lawn and the goat will go around them rather than cut underneath if that’s any help. For normal high up trees though you have the 4G module with the navimow with the vision fence to help with trees, but I imagine both would handle that similarly since goat has the ai camera and RTK too, but no 4G but bollards instead I think?!
Yuka 1500/200. They will even dump the leaves/grass at a designated area. However, w/ the bad attachment it goes from $1400 to 2k, but they actually navigate and do not randomly path like most robo lawn mowers that rely on guide wires. I am thinking about getting one since the random pathing triggers my OCD when paying $800+ or so for a roomba.
@@denlog1177 this Yuka one you mentioned cuts. It would cut my artifical turf I think lol. I just got so many big trees with lots of leaves. I blocked all neighbors in AZ with the trees lol.
@@bigj-yn3tf I didn't realize that you had astro turf, but It would depend on how high you set the deck height. If not mowing/cutting then there has to be better/cheaper options.
No, if you have it marked as a channel (pathway), the blades will stop spinning before entering. If you want them to spin, then just include the path as a zone.
I have one, support is awful. Ive opened 3 support tickets, its been 3 weeks and not a single reply to a single support ticket. It works okay. Its really bad around edges. Also, sometimes just misses parts of the open lawn.
You will definitely have to improvise for any closed gates. You could schedule the mower to mow those places on certain days at certain times, and leave the gates open during those times. Thanks for watching.
Returning mine, What Segway failed to share is that they have place a hard limit to the map range boundaries. If you buy a 1/4 model, you can’t map past that. My lot is 1/4 plus 200feet. I can’t map my full property because of the extra 200 feet. So I have to remap and cut corners so I won’t go over the 1/4 acres. I thought maybe map two separate zones, but nope! You can’t go over at all the 1/4 total. My understanding is in some regions they don’t do that, but at least my robot won’t let me at all. The kicker is after it tells you went over the limit, you can’t just edit what you mapped, you have to delete it and redo it again. Just another way to force you to buy a more expensive robot.
@PabloJGarcia-ef1uh Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Shame on us, we should have caught this. We thought the same as you, that the 1/4-acre was just a recommendation, not a hard limit. We tested close to a 1/4-acre, but we must have not gone over. Did Segway tell you can't do it? I'm like you, I would have also thought that you could just have 2 lawns/zones and get by it. I'm so sorry to hear this. Thanks again for sharing.
Nice review. I currently have a Worx robot mower that uses the boundary wires. It's probably on it's last legs so I am starting to shop around. The Worx has been mostly reliable and has good customer support. However, I am thinking that it might be an advantage to dump those boundary wires and go to something like this. One of my main concerns is that this hasn't really been tested over time & I can't be sure that I will get a good GPS signal on all sides of my home.
The FTC and UA-cam require that if someone provides the product for free, then we have to label it as "sponsored." We get many products from manufacturers that we don't purchase, and we also purchase many tools/equipment. Regardless of how we get them, we still tell the truth, regardless of the "sponsored" status. Thanks for watching.
This video was very thorough and really helped me to determine if i wanted to purchase this , ty.
Glad it was helpful! That's why we do it. Thanks for watching.

Best informative video I’ve seen . Thank you. I’m less fearful of setting this up
How does it handle swampy grass? Do the wheels easily get stuck?

How does it behave around structures?
Thanks for the review! I’m searching for a more budget-friendly robot mower.
I want to get a robot lawn mower. I'm ready to purchase BUT, there are so many coming out right now I'm confused on which device is the most superior.
Didn’t you review another Navimow earlier? Which one works better? Great video!
Thanks

Do they have one thats like a roomba so it sucks up leaves from artifical turf? Im 40 and tired of getting all the leaves!

WILL THE BLADES KEEP TURNING WHEN IT GOES FROM ZONE TO ZONE (IN THE CHANNEL)?

If I put the RTK pole in the back of the yard in the center, would it be able to cut the front yard?
Yes, as long as the RTK antenna has good reception.
Great review! Although it’s a bit out of my budget. 😅
You did not test multi zone 😢

@@Shoptoolreviews can you just make another zone? cut one smaller zone then the other.
I’d give about 2 months in a Texas summer 😂
Mow at night? Make it a cover for the extreme sun.
Does it need complete wi-fi cover of the garden?
no
I can’t tell if it’s mowing it’s so quiet. It leaves lines in the lawn but I don’t see charging it cutting. No support .
I appreciate the review, but the price still feels a bit steep.

Dean Kamen, from trying to revolutionize the entirety of human transportation, reduced offering to mow his neighbors lawn ...

Too small
Its got to many problems
Please defend your opinion.
What are those problems please?
easy way to fix that pay someone to cut your lawn.
I bought my kid a $1000 Segway go cart, zero support, zero ability to buy a replacement battery. I'd stay away from this brand.
oh god, I go to their site, seems your is discontinue, I rather wait one of the big brand release one like makita
@costavong6018 The cart is over 3 years old, had battery problems from day one. No support.
@@thebigdoghimself I would have returned it day 1.
