A new era of smart lawn maintenance.
Navimow was first introduced by Segway in 2021. Freeing customers from the
hassle of perimeter wires, it revolutionised the robotic lawnmower industry
and was later applauded by the market following the sales launch in 2022.
Now, it serves households in over 30 countries, including Germany, France,
Denmark, the US, the UK, Australia, and more.
Powered by Segway's spirit of innovation and over 20 years of experience
in the robotic sector, Navimow developed the Exact Fusion Locating System
(EFLS) that could achieve centimetre-level precise positioning and keeps
enhancing the product with groundbreaking features. Now with the brand new
Navimow i Series, lawn care is easier than ever. Just sit back, sip your coffee
and enjoy the perfectly manicured lawn in a breeze.

Thanks Ben. I’ve been looking at robot mowers for several years, but they’ve always been expensive and required cumbersome guide wires. Our yard has four different disconnected “zones”. This one looks like it’ll work great for us and seems to be reasonably priced. At any rate, I ordered one using your link and we’ll give it a try!

I am not sure if seperate disconnected zones will work with this one :/ I have two zones like that in my garden and I heard somewhere it wont work when they are not connected.

      @coreyjones4853 Місяць тому

@@Igor-vf9lh maybe “disconnected” was the wrong word to use. :) There are good level paths between all the zones, but four different distinct broken up areas that would make defining them with wires pretty difficult. I looked at all the information and setup videos on the Segway site and it should work for us I hope. 🤞

We've had these for like 10 years here in Norway.
almost every single house here have robomowers, for the last 10 years I've heard maybe 2-3 lawn mowers a year.
I remember LTT making a video about it last year, and I'm just thinking "are you guys just always a decade behind?"

amazing! Do they require wires and all that or do they have the AI camera like this one?

haha - i know this is soo true! my relatiives in the alps of austria all have robo mowers.. they laugh at north america still using gas mowers and doing all that work themselves. i might replace my wire unit with this - i like the drive around stuff vs hack everythign in my path that my current one does.

Can Segway Navimow run completely without WiFi signal AND without using a Smartphone App, when it is first configured properly and firmware updated using one ?
Can the WiFi be disabled so it does not search for the non existing WiFi all the time - so it does not transmit any wireless signals in normal use ?

Are you aware of any fence gates other than Husqvarna's used by robotic lawnmowers? I think this will be the next important accessory for these since MANY homeowners have enclosed fences. Of course, at the price of these, I'm tempted to get two. I'll likely trial one for this summer to see how it goes while having to let it through the fence every time.

What happens if you mow and the grass is wet? Did you have any issues with it climbing hills?

    • @BenSullinsOfficial

worked like a champ, wet shouldn't be a problem unless it's a swamp and the wheels get stuck

In fact, what we see in all the test videos of wireless installations is that the lawn mower robot is being tested on a very flat lawn. In fact, we would rather see how the lawn mower works when there are obstacles, such as many trees or other obstacles on the lawn. Can the lawn mower robot cleverly avoid obstacles?
We also want to see if the GPS wireless signal of the machine will be affected under the shade of trees. In cloudy conditions, such as many dark clouds. Will the GPS signal also be affected? Speaking of which, can machines go out to work on rainy days? These are all very important, and if the machine can only cut grass on sunny days, there will be many restrictions
If there is a swimming pool on the lawn and the lawn has a certain slope to the pool, there is a certain slope. Will the lawn mower robot fall into the swimming pool uncontrollably under the influence of gravity?
All the tested lawns are very ideal, but what we would prefer to see in such a high priced robot is that it does not require wiring, but can it achieve more powerful functions beyond that?
Can anyone who has actually used this robot give real feedback?

I'm not very impressed. The fact that it's mostly effortless once you have the lawn mapped is a plus point but it looks like it is very slow and has to charge multiple times even to finish a lawn that's not really that large.
