This guy is phenomenal. SO detailed and informative. I wish he did tutorials for everything, even my sewing projects :) Thank you for the fantastic video!
My slides don't work in the c channel, so I'm jus
t to design something else for it to work.
I bought my rails the moment I saw this video...finally today is the day(2+ yrs later) I follow this tutorial to put them up. Very much appreciated!!!
Where did you get the rails
I'm very grateful, I purchased a used 2009 Traverse and it was missing the cross rails, I did not need the tracks . This was very helpful in assembling and installing the rails. THANK YOU
Thank you for explaining the C channels. I’ve been looking at adding roof luggage carrier and no one has mentioned C channels.
Just finished my install. Your video really helped! My cross bars needed assembling (with short screws) and they had slots on the starboard side to tweak the widths.
Very Nicely Explained, I for one appreciated the detail !
Thank you, I just purchased a used 2009 Traverse and it has the metal channels but not the cross pieces. All the information is very helpful for a someone like me who is not a mechanic.
Excellent video. Every step was covered. The cross thread segment was a great addition. Thanks for your effort to make this informative video.
thank you very much por the explaining about the C chanels , and how take care about the screws. there are good details to take care... thanks
Thank you! The little hints helped me confidently install this and it enabled me to be sure I got the right item number!
Hi, do you have the part numbers. This is exactly what I’m looking for.
You just saved me a lot of headache.. thank you for breaking down exactly what I needed!
Thank you so much! That was an excellent video. Our kit came with no instructions so this was extremely helpful. Like your humor too!
Thanks a ton for doing this video man! I've been looking for a video for this for a while.. The c channel thing was something I had to figure out then I saw your video. Awesome thanks

Thank you very much. This helped so much. Just bought a 2010 traverse and the roof rack I bought did not have instructions. This video was awesome
Great video!!
It really helped me with mine because the cheap factory screws stripped and broke and I couldn’t figure out how to get it apart to replace them
Great video with perfect amounts of detail and explanation. Thank you very much!
Thanks this was a BIG help i bought a set off ebay and didn't know about the c channel that did not come with it., That is what brought me here. i also found out a few other things i needed to know. Once again thanks.
Glad to hear it. I know there has been a lot of confusion on these cross rails. The detailed information came from the guys at ShopChevyParts.com since they know their stuff.
Great video- very helpful. Especially appreciate the warning not to strip the threads; I probably would have. My channel bolts were T30, not T25.
great video, I used a t - 27 and then realized a t - 30 did great, be careful if you use the t -30 to not over tighten, possibly could strip the bolt. I thought the t-25 was a bit small and could have possibly stripped it that way as well.
I ordered the "Channels" from amazon on another video and those fit perfect on to the rail system of my 2015 Traverse. The kit I ordered from Car ID website the brackets that fit into the "C" Channel rails. Make sure you do your homework, its unfortunate you have to do this lol
Thanks for the tutorial!! Step by step instructions with lots of insight. Took an hour. Very appreciative that I was able to save my hard earned money.
Now I can just order my parts and save the 170'°° + taxes that the dealership was going to charge me to install it. Thanks for your awesome video...nobody could have done it better.
Maybe a future video could be how to install aftermarket intake airflow system to the engine to get some increased gas mileage and extra horsepower!!
Thanks again... Cheers
Thanks! I was comparing prices on extra cargo options and this helped.
It only took 2:30 to know that my amazon order was not going to work.
Fantastic video. Just a couple notes. On my 2017 the driver size is a T-30 not a T-25. And the L wrench with the anti-theft or hole in the middle are readily available at Harbor Freight as kit.
Thank you for the feedback and insight for a replacement L-shaped T-30 or T-25 with anti-theft feature. I'm sure that will help someone down the road! With Harbor Freight stores in so many places, I'm sure someone traveling one day will need one in a pinch.
Glad I saw this 1st before I bought. Did not know about the "C" channel.
Great to hear it was helpful. It's one of those things that's done once so the information is not well known until you need to install the cross rails.
Much better than reading instructions. Thx
Thank You The Perfect Clarification Video to Know What i Need to Know on My Vehicle.. thanks much god bless you
Thank you! I'll be installing these this weekend
awesome video. now i know what to order and how to install it on my 2016 traverse.
Great video. Followed it exactly and everything worked great. The directions in the box are ….. lacking. Thanks for the help!
Awesome video, very helpful. Thank you 🤗
Just FYI--my '17 needed T-30 for the c-channel bolts.
Great video. Is there any way to run wiring to the roof for a crossbar mounted LED light bar?
Thank you for this ...uhm… nice video! Our local GM … uhm...dealer was not very helpful...uhm..and just wanted my money. This video just...uhm...saved me...uhm…$160. Thanks!!
Awesome video! Very detailed and clear! Thank you!
Thank you! I'm glad it helped you!
Thanks!! Have a donation link? I wish everyone would include one for these types of videos.

THIS VIDEO IS EXCELLENTE! MUCHAS GRACIAS, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING AND SHARING THIS VIDEO. YOU ARE THE BEST!
where can i but the entire kit?
great video this is exactly what i need
This video was spot on! You did a great job.
Silver permanent marker and label everything before actual install so if / when you remove it, the next install will be a breeze. Keep all parts in a labeled ziplock.
Muchísimas gracias...que dios te bendiga
Thanks for the tutorial
Very helpful video, thank you for sharing!!!
I looked on the site says discontinued any other site you would recommend
Thank you so much but I can not find Part Number 19244268 on ShopChevyParts.com. It keeps coming back "There is no product that matches the search criteria.
My Traverse came with C channels already installed but I cannot get the bolts to loosen at all....am I missing something? I have the correct torx head, but they seem to be locked - they move a tiny bit but they won’t loosen.
I cannot find these on the website suggested. I see 2018-2020, but nothing for 2017. Any suggesions?
Found it sir, thank you for your video.
You the man !
Where can I order all this? Have tried shops but no one sales them where I live.
Any ideas where to get the kit now that chevy discontinued the product?
Did anyone else had problems with the small pieces sliding back and forth easily?
I did I had to hammered in other to get it in the right place..you just have to be careful not to break it ..I used I rubber hammer.
I can not find this anywhere!
Where do you get c channels from? Chevy said they don't make them anymore

Where can I buy a c channel thing
Please I want to ask you a question: I am Riyadh from Iraq and I want to buy some accessories chevy traverse 2012 from America but I do not know the method of delivery and pay the price Can you help me even arrange you a list of accessories here in Iraq Accessories for cars chevy traverse is very required and not available ... Reply quickly and thanks
My crossbars came unassembled. Are there directions for those? I want to know if I did them correctly , I had to guess.
I've never seen the crossbars come unassembled. That's something new from GM or not a GM Accessory. I just opened some kits and none of them have unassembled cross rails.
Mine too and I didn’t get that special adjustment tool☹️ fingers crossed we guessed right assembling it
Will this work on a 2020 Tahoe?
Very Nice. Thank you.
Thanks!! It was really helpful. I even bought my rails at the junkyard for $8 bucks. Good video!! You save me a lot money 💵💵💵!!!!!!
Really helpful ...thanks
Can you share the link to purchase this kit?
Certainly www.shopchevyparts.com/cargo-management/2016-traverse-roof-rack-side-and-cross-rail-package/19244268-p-92288310.html
I think it would be easier after you install the c-channels on the vehicle to go ahead and assemble the cross bars, then drop them into the channels. That way you don't have to worry about the screws dropping down. Any thoughts?
What year is this?
Where can I order these c channels please. Unfortunately, I ordered the rails without them.
ShopChevyParts.com . Part#19244264
Tim A. Wentz not there anymore
Darn! It will only hold Grandma *without* her rocking chair. Shoot. All that time I spent adapting the base rails of the chair with t-25 screws wasted. Ah well. Should've watched the whole video first.
Please help I can’t find it

Lmao, I have the same setup, A traverse on one garage and a Camaro in the other.
Hardest part for me was not having any directions included. I had all the right parts including the c channel, but 2 extra rubber blockers had me baffled. Three points locked perfectly but the forth still slides or shifts. Tried swapping parts around to see if it would make a difference to no avail. Seems to be some sort of defect? Any ideas? ua-cam.com/video/8IVK65dXDqQ/v-deo.html
Window visor intall?
Install?
Almost caused an accident on the highway cross bar bolts to weak and plastic base will open and everything on the roof will fall
This could have been 40 min shorter
Those train parts are giving me hell, I can't get them in the railing, they just won't fit. 🤔
rhino crossbar installation manual
This is a good video but about 20 minuets of it is useless.
Wow why is it so complicated? O___o
Crappy design with the exposed C channel rail!
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT NOT STRONG TO HOLD ANYTHING
