Great video. Just one thing I would like to see reviewers do, is how the phone fits in your pocket. As phones are getting bigger and bigger, it would be nice to include this your review. The things is, I don't want to be walking with a brick in my pocket...lol

Great review. I think the P20 is the better choice over the P20 Pro unless you must own the highest end spec cameras. I shot a video intro last night and was shocked at just how good a 5 mp selfie shooter on a dirt cheap budget phone, worked in 720p, (yeah, had the phone for over 2 years and never used the front facing camera). Keep up the good work and pay attention to those water resistance specs!

Is it worth to change the p10 plus for the p20.?? The p10 plus has 6 ram. 128 GB. More pixels 534ppi. Battery last longer. Stereo sound. Headphones input. More water proof than the p20. Use for memory card.Infrared port for TV and stereo.
I'm about to buy a new phone and can't decide, since well, I have a tight budget but need something that truly last. I am between this phone, (the Huawei P20) and a Samsung galaxy Note 8 since its price went down dramatically after the new models came out. Can you guys help me decide? has your P20 last up until now? and how long does the battery last with regular use?

Hi Linus, I love your phone reviews, they're easy to watch and you're very clear about all aspects of the phone! I've just upgraded my phone with my network and for my budget they offered me the p20 or the Samsung S8. I took the S8 but now I have looked at it I dont like how narrow it is. I prefer the size of the P20. I also heard that the battery life of the S8 is pretty mediocre. Could you give me some advice on which phone you think is better and why? Thanks!

Linus, did you try to zoom into the pictures and check details and sharpness at some point? Looking at the pictures from P20 on the DxO website, some pictures looks smudged out or oversharpened. I was thinking about buying this phone but im curious about this :)

I'm sorry you said that it ships with wired headphones at the start of video but at the end you said it does not have headset jack.

Brilliant video review! 7 hours screen time sounds great but I wonder how that is divided between general app usage and watching streamed movies? My iPhone SE manages 46 mins of streamed video before the 10% warning comes on!!
I get about 11-15 hours of regular usage.
The regular P20 has no stereo speaker, it's only a monospeaker at the bottom

Just got this phone for $210 CAD. Oh yeah, sick ass deals in Canada on some phones. Using it to replace Essential. Don't expect a huge difference, but new is new.
I wanted to buy the regular p20 since i like the more compact design but unfortunately it's not available here in dubai or any part of UAE, only the pro & lite variant. Please help me out how to order one.

How is the microphone quality in the social apps? I am quite worried since I purchased the S9+ last week and my girlfriend and couple of other people could not hear me in the Social apps at all. I sounded muffled and the mic could not make up its mind when to use the noise cancellation at all. I returned the phone after 4 days of struggle and got a replacement one. Same issue, and on top of the mic, I had an autofocus issue with the selfie cam, similar to the S8 and S8+ where you had to shake the camera to get the focus back. It didn't take long to use Google and find the official thread where a LOT of people had similar issues with the Samsung. Google Pixel 2 and P20 Pro also reported similar issues. I was considering the P20 Lite but that has even more issues on top of the mic ones. The only phone, which seems not to have any issues reported on the web so far is the P20. Please, let me know if you had any bad experience while in Social apps with muffled voice or anything along those lines. Thank you for the review!

How is the performance after using couple of years????
Hi, my mom just bought one a few months ago for just around $70 with its original box and original adaptor. It's still fast and smooth and compact in size. Plus, the newly updated EMUI 12 makes the phone much smoother with its fluid transitions. I am also planning to buy one for myself in black color, it is because the size is very right for me, even though I have big hands. Also, the AI stabilized video at 1080p 30 fps is good enough for me. You just have to replace the battery at your nearest huawei service center for around $5. Plus, the repair cost for this standard P20 is much cheaper than its bigger brother P20 Pro. I also love the LCD panel because it has low maintenance and repair cost than the P20 Pro's OLED panel.

yes, my bad. Corrected in the video description. The bottom-mounted speaker is really good, so it sounded like the dual-speaker!
I have a p20 regular version and it does have two speakers, one is just not as loud

correct me if I'm wrong,i don't think regular p20 has a stereo speaker, that's reserve for the pro model

My phone is 5 days old. I just noticed it today as I listen carefully to its speakers and feeling it through vibration, the left speaker is not emitting sound nor vibrating (as a indication that it works as the right speaker does.)

Hi. I use the G7 every single day. I also have the A6300 that I don't use that much since can get the job done faster with the G7. Also, it has a fully articulating screen, it does not overheat and has better battery life. I recommend the G7.

im probably late but I do have this phone i mostly play pokemon go and use whatsapp and twitter if you are on wifi you get arround 4 to 5 hours and if you are on mobile data arround 3 to 4

LOL gamer Batery saving on this phone is shit for some reason it turns on automatic brightness that is not even good if you are under the sun display brightess goes down and you cant see anything.. I think you could survive if you put phone on hd+ resolution.. I get 4 or 5 hours with wifi only hd+ resolution and only playing pokemon go and whatsapp but sometimes I get only 3 hours and I use the same the settings and apps. So if you still did not decide go with s9 or one plus 6 I did not pick s9 only because of infinite display

LOL gamer And also one things that is verry iritating is screen diming couple of youtube said the same thing people on forums are talking about it basicly if you turn off animation speed to no animations i developer options phone will turn up and down brigthness of your screen thats a huge problem in huawei phones people are saying that it was in p8 p9 and aswell in p20 and there is some bug with keyboard sometimes if you are writing a message keyboard will just close even if you install couple of other keyboards there is the same issue
