This is a tough one, these are my favourite characters. I do think that Abe takes the win more often than not based on stature, load out and combat experience like you said but he’d be a fool to underestimate Shane as Officer unfriendly is still quite capable of putting big red in the forever box especially if Abe let’s his guard down. I’d also suspect that Shane has way better cardio based on his build vs Abrahams

Once shane calmed down, he woukd have easily taken down plenty of women of his own. Honestly, shane is what rick turns into later. He was a leader and ready for whatever, he was willing to sacrifice for his main group at anytime , but he kost it when rick returned , which both shaned him for leaving him behind, which he had no real choice, and losing carl and laurie to rick, who hadnt lroperly adjusted so he seen him as an issue , which was conflicting. If shane wasnt co flicyed and let them go, ge would have had no ossue getting Andrea, or any other woman, it was sololy his conflict with rick that lead him to snap, and once she was pregnant, his brain broke even further. Remember this was weeks in. After a rew months , shane woukd havw found a way to power.

Abraham, on the other hand, was able to think rationally and act clever in tight situations. He had some serious courage and bravery, doing some wild things up until his final moments. Abraham is also far more physically intimidating. Abraham would be able to outlast Shane both physically and mentally and overpower him with superior will.

This is basically meant to work with 40gr projectiles with 55gr being your absolute limit so if abe is only able to get green tip or heavier rounds then the a1 will basically turn into a blunderbuss
There's a deleted scene from season one where Shane was running from a horde of walkers when they were in Atlanta and he was running for a long time so based on that scene and the scene from the school with Otis I'd give Shane the edge in the endurance catagory
There's a saying that masters of skills, combat types, tactical thinkings, ect, find complete novices harder to deal with than those who are somewhat knowledgeable or experienced. Masters can predict how experienced or trained people act, but it's impossible to predict a complete amateur. So Shane's police training and experience would likely make him an Easier Target for a combat veteran like Abraham lol But that also goes both ways, and I could see Shane's odd win in a series of fights due to him recognizing that his opponent is a combat veteran and figuring an out of the normal method for getting an advantage or dealing with Abe

In an alternate scene for Negan killing Maggie instead of Abraham for example she also got back up after getting wacked when she was already pretty weak Eugene is arguably made to fall down after a few blows to emphasize his character isn’t a fighter. Rick made Tyreese a pretty big guy spin with one blow and had him bleeding buckets with a few punches yet when he’s up against the Gov with an ambush Gov somehow gets out of it (granted this could go back to the argument Rick was more weakened than the Gov) with little visible damage So if I were to guess who’d win if there isn’t a narrative reason for Shane to lose they’d probably make him win because of his higher status in the series. Same thing with Rick, Daryl, Negan. Heck even the little fight against Glenn yeah Abraham had the advantage but he also sneaked him and Glenn still wasn’t getting destroyed the way Eugene, Gabriel etc would. Idk if this is true but some said Glenn’s actor even made fun of the fact he wasn’t getting completely dominated

Shane was a "take it down to the Winchester till this all blows over" Abraham had meanwhile experienced the worst of humanity in one of HIS FIRST GROUPS shooting any hope he had in the foot. Abraham would literally hold Shane's organs in his hands before Shane could even mentally recompose himself after being ostracized. (In the comic series) In the show Shane may have a chance but not the strongest. Not only is Abraham trained in higher caliber weapons his required level of fitness is far beyond a Kentucky police officers and any gun fight would be one sided with a melee encounter equally so without some kind of melee weapons
Shane is my all time favorite character, but if we are being completely honest, Abraham would probably win. He’s a lot like Shane just a better in every aspect.
Shanes strength doesnt come from body building though thats about the only issue I had with the video . Shane was just physically strong and not full of oxygen depriving mass which would correlate with this ability to punch because its just raw strength and he definetly knows how to throw a punch .
I would go as far as saying these two cannot really be compared all that much because the part of the show they are from is just too different. The writing and writing style when Shane existed vs. When Abraham was introduced are just too different. After a point, characters and plot were written almost cartoony and with absurd levels of plot armor. A lot of the gritty real life people, places and things were replaced with comic superhero/supervillain type stuff. It's like everything became a caricature. Plus, there's many variable factors such as the weapons they use. Shane could easily pick up a rifle, why should he be stuck and forced to use a 12 gauge shotgun? Do these characters not have free will in a fictional scenario where they'd be fighting each other? I think people severely underrate Shane. Yea, Abraham is a generic plot armored "badass soldier" archetype but Shane is a killer. I don't necessarily mean in the literal sense "he's killed people" but in the almost gangster sense of the word, he's a hardened killer. Shane is extremely cunning and dangerous. I could definitely see Shane taking Abraham. Good video though, that's just my two cents

If you logically apply the scaling, Abraham would be stronger than Shane because he’s contended with characters stronger than Shane. Either way, none of that matters. Shane isn’t bullet proof. He gets downed by the vet easily.

In the show Shane may have a chance but not the strongest. Not only is Abraham trained in higher caliber weapons his required level of fitness is far beyond a Kentucky police officers and any gun fight would be one sided with a melee encounter equally so without some kind of melee weapons
Shane is my all time favorite character, but if we are being completely honest, Abraham would probably win. He’s a lot like Shane just a better in every aspect.
Abraham barely has any feats whereas Shane manhandled Rick with ease. As tough as Abe was, there’s no proof he would’ve had an easy time with Rick.

Shanes strength doesnt come from body building though thats about the only issue I had with the video . Shane was just physically strong and not full of oxygen depriving mass which would correlate with this ability to punch because its just raw strength and he definetly knows how to throw a punch .

I kinda feel like this is all about cops vs. military.
I would go as far as saying these two cannot really be compared all that much because the part of the show they are from is just too different. The writing and writing style when Shane existed vs. When Abraham was introduced are just too different. After a point, characters and plot were written almost cartoony and with absurd levels of plot armor. A lot of the gritty real life people, places and things were replaced with comic superhero/supervillain type stuff. It's like everything became a caricature. Plus, there's many variable factors such as the weapons they use. Shane could easily pick up a rifle, why should he be stuck and forced to use a 12 gauge shotgun? Do these characters not have free will in a fictional scenario where they'd be fighting each other? I think people severely underrate Shane. Yea, Abraham is a generic plot armored "badass soldier" archetype but Shane is a killer. I don't necessarily mean in the literal sense "he's killed people" but in the almost gangster sense of the word, he's a hardened killer. Shane is extremely cunning and dangerous. I could definitely see Shane taking Abraham. Good video though, that's just my two cents

3:33 I mean…by nature of being an assault rifle, yes, but even compared to a shotgun, the AR-15/M16 (they’re basically the same weapon) was literally designed to be a basically unjammable weapon, which it succeeds at incredibly well and continued to until the U.S. military got involved. Depending on the specific model of M16 he’s using, it could be a gun that just…doesn’t jam at all.

He’s a cop with zero experience against people in an equal setting prior to the apocalypse and with zero firefight experience against people post-apocalypse. Abe has shown equal aiming feats, but aim isn’t as important as actual infantry tactics and being able to get good angles in a firefight. I’m also pretty sure that smashing a skull in one hit is more newtons of force than snapping a neck bro lol
