As people have mentioned earlier - we all have been waiting for your IMTS video. Otherwise IMTS without NYC CNC didn't happen. The stuff from HERMLE is just SICK!
Many years ago I worked in field service for GE CNC, prior to the deal with Fanuc. Always wanted to go to IMTS but never made it. Watching your video shows me what I’ve missed. Thanks.
Thanks for showing at least some of the small stuff. From someone who is just starting out, the machines you've grown into are so out of my realm of possibility currently that its nice to see some things that are more relative to what I do.
My first full time job in the machining trade was working for Data Flute running Anca and Rollomatic grinding machines! Was a great introduction to the trade and gave me a serious in depth perspective on cutting tools, specialty tools, and what is possible to make or later on in my career able to have made.
Awsome video so far... about making a plan before attending imts.... Well I didn't make one, thinking it will be fine... OMG I completely underestimated the scale of AMB (the German equivalent to IMTS). I think I spent around 3 hours just in the first hall. However there were ten others to go... to sum it up, I ended up, running out of time. But still, it was awesome. Also this was the first trade show for me... definitely overwhelming to say the least. John please keep up the great work and awesome videos.
Our current CEO is on a Hermle buying spree. We got the C650 and C400 a year ago and are probably getting one more of each within the year. Always love your IMTS videos, John.
9:50, CAS by Okuma is not related to CAMPLETE or other of the shelf collision simulation. This is an in house software developed and maintained by Okuma. We have had this software for over 15 years and it is amazing once you are proficient with it. Compared to other offerings out there, the user has a lot of power to add their own models and even update them in the middle of a program.
and I respect that first sales guy for being down to earth, and realistic .. I like his attitude ..on the level of what the machines are.. others I've seen are going on bragging like its a 5 million dollar machine for a fleamarket price..
so glad to at least virtually visit IMTS again as indusry-economy picks up again. greT VIDEO but low audio - loud noise need refinement. GREAT overall though
I was waiting for you to cross paths with Abom79, but I missed that part. Anyone who caught it, timestamp, please. I watched Abom79's IMTS vids, but missed him meeting you. Did not know until I read the comments on those videos.
I’m like Wade. Started on horizontals then many different vertical but never got to work on a Bridgeport. Instead went to Okuma lathes and then Holroyd flute machines
It's not the official NYC CNC that replayed here, no grey field around the channel name. Could easily be taken for a impersonator account. Can be John even though. Fair enough answer. But in general, look out if such unofficial channel accounts sends link, contact info wanting you to get in thouch or something.
@@Rimrock300 FWIW, yes, it was me (john) that replied. Our mic / setup (for whatever reason) stunk on this trip; it used to be "fine". So got some solid new gear for the next tour video!
Haas is so screwed. Everyone is going to automation because of lack of decent employees and Haas doesn't have a reputation for reliable lights-out machines. Serves them right for what Gene did to Fadal back in the day.
Okuma what in the heck is with your programming and support? These "LAP" cycles are a joke and the OD and ID grinder canned cycles are way too complicated. Your control panels need standardized. Stop changing things. Find something that works and stick with it.
No stupid bingo card this year? I always thought that was ironic from a guy that makes fixture plates for living chiding the rest of the industry for lack of innovation.
Love the Okuma guy's comment "I'll buy anything you're selling as long as it comes with an operator."
Good programmer setter operators are gold dust at the moment 😎
The Okuma and Hermle machines are so nice! Speedio earns its name!
As people have mentioned earlier - we all have been waiting for your IMTS video. Otherwise IMTS without NYC CNC didn't happen.

It sure was, got a free Oktoberfest beer from them 😁

Running my mills all day, finally got through the whole video. Thanks again Saunders
:)
Love Okuma and their new technology. Crazy cool!
Props to a guy who is both the president of a meaningful company and still happy to climb into one of the machines at a show.
Thanks for sharing!!! I love the Häberle Axis on the robofdrill at 1:55:14
Good in depth video, good information. Head and shoulders above all other youtuber IMTS2022 content thus far.

IMTS 2024 is going to be LIT!
Willemin guy knew his stuff. Not often I say that and he was in MM not Inch. One sexy machine 🧡

I’ve been waiting for a decent imts report 👍
A dream since highschool come true this year, it was awesome running into you!
Great tour. Please use some Zoom audio recorder with Lavalier microphone or something else. Audio is really bad.
Thanks for labeling the sections of the videos
Awesome video, thanks for sharing John!
Great report, we were so busy in our booth I did not see any of the show.
Missed you by 10 feet when you were at Noga.
The best IMTS tourist .Thank you JOHN
Content here is always super interesting even inspiring...it's a struggle though when the audio is a challenge. Keep it up NYC CNC you're awesome. !
Aww, no Mazak?! Some new stuff in their booth this year. Why skip Mazak?
Our current CEO is on a Hermle buying spree. We got the C650 and C400 a year ago and are probably getting one more of each within the year.
Always love your IMTS videos, John.
Great video as usual!
Great tour. The sound is not good though. Some noise filtering even in post-production would've helped a lot.
Always loves seeing Hermle.

Coincidentally we just worked with DSI on a fusion 360 custom post. I think i even spoke with Devon.
Thank you for showing the Penta Co. I was looking for information on the new machine. There is no update yet on their website.
Great video, unfortunately the audio sounds like it had been recorded with a patato
Stoked to see you show Devon and Phil. I loved the video of 1186 mfg. I signed up for the DSI summit and can’t wait. I hope I can get to meet y’all.

Hermle impressive as always, but Brother also impress with their speedio's
Seriously, i was blown away by videos but once I saw them in person it was amazing the speed those brothers have.
There is 7 of those Robodrill Plus K with the carousel a couple towns away from Grimsmo
I think the Williman was the coolest. I hope that guy from yamazen didn’t tell everybody a speedio has 35 hp 😂 great coverage john 👍🏻
Thank you for this John. I hoped to attend in person but was unable.
Amazing Machines ❤
Incredible.
guy at 9:47 made my day
seems like a very focused tour . But it's still good .
Awesome! Thank you! Watched the entire video!!
Crazy to think what all it took just to set up for that show.
awesome!
I saw you up at the Okuma booth ✌️
Looking good!
Why no coverage of Mazak?
there are hundreds of companies, too much to cover, think he focus on the companies he and friends are most familiar with

I miss read this and thought wait you are with Bob from ILTMS.

Did you by chance swing by the Modig Machine booth and check out the inverted millturn center they have?
Very Cool

IMTS next month. You should have gone by Mazak.
I was there and it was awesome 😀
Nice one (Brother...what few influencers can do...) But all those axis...one day, they will come back to bite you. :D :)
Any one have the IG for that CJ guy holding 5micron true position?
Curious to see his processes and work
Iam also looking for him.
@cj.abraham
What happened to the audio quality? It literally sounds like failed active noise canceling.
My man! Go Bills @ 40:30
John, please fix your microphone :)
Agree. That whole video setup was sold after this trade show - been replaced with better camera (and mic)!
Ok, good, already answered.

@@nyccnc I had a good feeling about that. Thanks for a great channel, keep it coming)
Was he talking about Charlotte NC, and has that already happened
whoa, Bre Pettis, havent seen him since Makerbot.
No Mazak? ☹️
Pierson Workholding didn't have a booth?
the sub spindle still have extremly slow travel on the new haas lathes?
What's going on in the background of 1:55:48
Carousel with pallets for different work holding tools, possible with raw material attached
who was that guy with the 5 micron tolerances? the audio was so bad i couldn't hear his name
I had hoped you visited the Kitamura booth but alas no.
Is Hermle now producing for Ukraine?
Hermle sells their products worldwide
No doosan? why man!?
Ha they get too much coverage on titan's channel.
rookie, no background noise cancellation!
Whaaaaaaat? No GROB machines?

What’s cj’s company name? (With the two willemins )

Fairly new in the machine tool world.... what did he do?
Lol if you think it’s lack of decent employees boy are you in for a rude awakening when it’s your job that’s replaced soon enough.
