Erica Fusion Delay/Flanger/Vintage Ensemble (LMEE)

- This module combines a BBD delay with tube overdrive, a low pass filter, and a built-in LFO for modulation. You can create some classic short delay and flanger effects, but where it excels is exploring the unstable regions where it is on the edge of self-oscillation while also distorting the signal.

A single VCO voice from the Moog Mother-32 (with an additional ADSR for the filter cutoff) was the lone sound source in this demo; the Erica module really fattened it up. This movie is part of my Eurorack Expansion: Extended course on LearningModular.com where I demonstrate how a wide variety of individual modules can transform your modular’s sound.
i'd really like to reach out and say how incredibly appreciated you and your channel are to me. i'm still growing with modular and i have multiple concepts/builds on modulargrid that i hope to build one day. your videos/overview/tutorials have been essential in resolving any confusion or guesswork that i may have when building. so yeah, thank you so much!
Thank you very, very much - it's feedback like that which keeps me going... :-)
I am a big fan of Erica Synths modules and loving my Polivoks filter. Would love the Fusion modules for incredible effects.
Great review. The module sounds good but for the price I expect more CV inputs and insert patch points for the feedback circuit. I would also prefer a much longer delay time and a true stereo signal path (with cross-feedback). These would naturally make the module much more expensive. Since I have a few delay modules (and other desktop and pedal units) already, I decided to pass on purchasing the Fusion System 2 that contains this particular module. I decided the Das Klein Fusion system would be a better choice for me if I am going to buy a full tube-based system.
Feels like a more hi-fi version of the lyra8fx
Sounds great, although many sounds are out-of-phase, and may require additional processing down the line to make them mono-compatible (or, just to make them non-headache-inducing 😅)
Yes, that's the problem with the "vintage ensemble" effect - it's basically phase-reversing one channel, which ruins mono compatibility (and is a little weird under headphones).
it seems a fusionbox in eurorack format
It pretty much is - although a person I know who played with this and a Fusion Box says the Fusion Box is capable of (even) more distortion.
@@LearningModular i've a fusion box too and yes i can confirmed!
