Hi James, Thanks a lot. It's been a while, so I don't remember exactly where it is. But It was South of Rototura, I believe on Highway 5. It was just one of the side roads that had a lake and I just happen to drive by it and found it that way one day. Sorry, I can't remember the exact point. Have an amazing time in NZ!
Javier Medina Yes, but you want to be careful. All of Rotorua (including the redwoods) is an aviation 'no fly' zone for drones; see the map at app.airshare.co.nz/app/apps/airspaceMap/ The NZ CAA has fined people in the past, based on their UA-cam videos

awesome video bro...been there twice but didnt get a chance to make video shots like that., by the way, is that your drone shots.cool shots. how did you get approval from airshare ? or did you just fly your drone there straight away?
Hi June, thanks for the nice comments. The shots with the drone were taken a at park South of Rotorua outside the flight zone. I also made sure to never fly above the hillside, so I was always flying sheltered. The Rules are always changing with drones and I would look up what is allowed nowadays. There are also apps that can help you see were you can fly. Hope that helps, cheers.

@@JavierMedinaImagery LOL - i hope not indeed, It is giving me two error IMU messages, which i cant clear. Ill keep trying though!
