Steps •Get potatoes •Peel them •Slice them into squares •Put them in a pot •Put water in the pot •Add salt (i added it to my liking) •Let the potatoes boil •Take some of the foam out when they're boiling •Check a piece of the potato to see if they smash easily with a fork(if not let them boil for longer) •Drain them •Add them into a bowl while theyre still hot •Add butter (i added some to my liking) •Add hot milk •Add salt •Mash it •And you're done !if the taste doesnt come out to your liking add more hot milk to it!
It doesn't really matter. Even if you don't add any salt into the water, you can still fix the taste while mashing the potatoes. I always add it though, since the potatoes absorb it while cooking. Some people also claim that adding salt helps to cook the potatoes more evenly, but I can't really confirm nor deny this.

lovely
Thanks.
How many potatoes would you do for one person?
Really depends on how much you wanna eat... but definitely about 150-200g or 6-7 ounces or so. That should be roughly one BIG potato.
